Hello everyone, Yesterday I went to the track and galloped. There was a huge crowd there to see me and watch me. People came from all over just to meet me. It was great! I loved the surface. It felt great under my feet. Steve had fun too! After grazing and breakfast, I went to school. Walking over to the paddock, it was so amazing to just look up at the Twin Spires. This place has so much history. All went so well, John said I may not have to go to school tomorrow. Then when grazing this afternoon,it was so special to see all of the cars stopping to see me. People were actually doing U turns in the middle of the street to stop and take my picture. Today has been amazing! I flew on the plane in the first spot. They wanted to load me on the plane last…so I would be the first one off! We made great time in the air. Flight was smooth and fun! Mario was with me! When we arrived at the airport, the vans were lined up to take all 16 horses on the plane to Churchill Downs. The plane doors opened and it was fabulous. They were getting ready to have me leave the plane and load on the van…and suddenly my family, Ann, Jerry, Dottie, John and Mike…and many other friends appeared. ESPN and TVG were there to take videos of this…but Ann and John were doing videos too! It was great to see them. Then I loaded onto the van and off we went to Churchill Downs! I had a POLICE ESCORT! Diary Post #101, Zenyatta’s First Diary Post!
Wow…here we are! This is the beginning of a very BIG week! It is getting close now. This morning, I’m finishing up my CA preparations for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. John will have me jog a mile on the training track. That will be 2 trips around. Steve will be with me. The training track is great…because it is a dirt surface. I’ve spent a great deal of time on this track during the last few years. When I am on the training track, it means I’m doing my exercise and I’m concentating on my work…but it is FUN! John calls it a PLAY DAY for me! I love it! Oh my, I just looked outside the barn. There are lots and lots of fans to see me today.
