Dear Fans, It has been such a wonderful day! I am bubbling over with the great fans I have and the wonderful support you are always giving me. I so appreciate ALL of your kindness. In the recent weeks, I have been feeling TERRIFIC and doing VERY, VERY WELL! All of the THINGS in my life are fabulous! I know that so many of you have been contacting the farm to find out how I am doing. This is absolutely TOO CUTE! EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY AND AT LANE’S END could not be HAPPIER for ME! Hello Everyone! I had a great weekend. I thought the Peter Pan Race was very exciting…love those photo finishes. Alternation won that stake in a very tight finish. Then at Hollywood Park, the Lazaro Barrera Stake was also a close, close finish! Congratulations to Bench Points who won that race. Those NOSE FINISHES can be very exciting. I know a bit about that from my racing days! Bernardini also had a fun weekend. He sired some very nice winners around the country and then Theyskens’ Theory won a listed stakes race in Europe. YIPPEE! On another note, a few weeks ago, a lovely family came to visit ME! The young daugher wrote a very endearing letter to Lane’s End requesting the visit for her Father. Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope all of you are getting ready to have a wonderful weekend! I have been out grazing and ENJOYING LIFE THE ZENYATTA WAY! As I have mentioned to you before, the grass is amazing here. I’m really getting an opportunity to enjoy and experience the famous KENTUCKY BLUE GRASS! Also, look at the absolutely GORGEOUS CLOUDS! This environment is very special! I feel so fortunate! Dottie LOVES this photo of ME…and she really wanted to share it with ALL of YOU! She thinks it almost looks like a painting of ME…rather than a photo! My coat is so healthy and I still have all of my dapples! She commented to ME that I look FABULOUS! Blush, Blush! Good Morning, Happy Friday (the 13th)! I hope ALL of you are doing very well. Everything here is fabulous. I am feeling terrific, doing GREAT, and very, very happy! It is gorgeous here at Lane’s End and the time I’m able to spend outside is so relaxing. I like to stand on the top of the hill and just look around for hours. It reminds me so much of what I would do each day at Barn 55! My paddock friends are all so sweet and we have a wonderful time together! Good Morning, What a week of CELEBRATION and FUN! Earlier this week, I was involved in the INSPIRE Portion of the Professional Business Women of California Conference. Then yesterday, LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!!!! As you know, this year at the Eclipse Awards, MY TEAM won the SPECIAL AWARD for their CONTRIBUTION TO THE INDUSTRY. The Awards Committee technically named the recipient…TEAM ZENYATTA! That evening, Ann and Jerry accepted the Award on behalf of MY TEAM! Then something absolutely fabulous happened. My wonderful, loving, and charming owners went to the Eclipse Committee and worked with them during the past few months to have an Eclipse Award made for EVERY MEMBER of MY TEAM. Good Morning, Yesterday was such an amazing day! Ann, Dawn and Dottie all flew to San Francisco to attend the Professional Business Women of California Conference. It was held at the Moscone Center and attended by approximately 6000 people. As Dottie has mentioned in the Diary before, I was the KICK-OFF for the INSPIRE portion of the program. Carolyn Johnson from ABC News San Francisco introduced Ann, Dawn, Dottie and ME! She stated several of my accomplishments and achievements. Then they played a 3 1/2 minute video showing my races, my dancing, my TEAM and my fans. It was beautifully edited and done! At this point, Dottie was reintroduced by the Chairman of the Organization, Ann, and she discussed how MY TEAM hopes I can be a true INSPIRATION to people in their lives and their careers! Good Morning, Today is such an inspirational day! It is the Professional Business Women of California Conference. Dottie has been working with Linda from this organization for months now. I have been asked to KICK-OFF the INSPIRE part of the conference. I wanted to share this news with my dear friend, Michael Cline. He is one I often discuss my various situations with at Lane’s End. He helps me out SO MUCH! Ann, Dawn (my vet for years) and Dottie are all flying to San Francisco to attend and participate in the events. It is very exciting. They are going to introduce me and some of my accomplishments, play some video which will illustrate the highlights of my racing career and then have some additional speakers reviewing so many of my charitable efforts and professional achievements. Happy Monday to ALL! The 137th Kentucky Derby is now history! Congratulations to all of the connections of Animal Kingdom on his victory. This is such an amazing race and so historical to win. It is a victory to cherish forever! When my dear friend, GIACOMO, won in 2005, the entire barn got to celebrate the victory. Frank Leal, in the above photo, was Giacomo’s traveling partner on the road. They really got to know each other very well. When John’s Kentucky Derby Trophy arrived, he brought it out to the barn and took pictures of everyone holding it. He thought this would be a wonderful keepsake for each person to have forever! HAPPY KENTUCKY DERBY DAY TO EVERYONE! This is such an exciting time in our industry! I have had a great, great week. Ann, Jerry and Dottie were all here visiting and spending LOTS of time with ME! Then on Thursday, I hosted a lovely family who participated in a SAFE AT HOME Charity Auction. They pledged the winning bid to come and visit with ME and take a tour of Lane’s End Farm! Interestingly, at the same time David was bringing them to see ME, Ann, Jerry, Dottie, Mike Smith, Victor Espinoza, Angel Cordero and Brad Pegram were all here spending time with ME. Great photo moments…for sure! We all had LOTS OF FUN! I have to say, I think my paddock pals are really enjoying the attention we are ALL getting.
