  1. Hollywood Park has some serious safety track issues to put it mildly. I hope they have some experts evaluate the track surface immediately. Several heart attacks and fractures in the same week is unacceptable and barbaric for this sport. So glad Ebby was not running yet. I am so stunned right now. I saw Dottie near the track dressed up looking excited about the race. My heart breaks for her, John, The Mosses and Mike

  2. @DS
Were all these injuries on the same track at HWP, turf
    And polytack?

  3. Prayers and good thoughts for Cloud Man. Love him so much and hope he can pull through this. Sending prayers for all in Barn 55, the Mosses and Dottie and John.

  4. Now there are TWO gratefulness candle sites for Cloud Man– the first is under the “initials” ‘DIARY,’ the second is under the “initials” ‘CLOUD.’ We are all praying for you, Cloud Man.

  5. For the Gratefulness Candles: When you get to the group site (DIARY or CLOUD), click on an unlit candle, then follow the directions which will take you through the steps.
Click on CONTINUE to move to each next step. In the third step, you can add your special message if you wish, and mark “your” candle with your initials—you’ll see my candle(s) are marked with “TN.” In the fifth step, you can give your city and country, if you wish, and you can give your name, if you wish. If you do, you will see them in the sixth step along with your message (if you entered one in step three), and you can edit them if you wish. This is also the step in which you “finally” light your candle by clicking on the wick. Then you can click CONTINUE again, and then RETURN TO CANDLES to see your candle lit with all the others.
In the step where it asks if you want to “share” with someone else, I just click on “no.”

  7. Zenny and all at Barn 55…I am praying for Cloud Man. To the Mosses, {{{ }}}

  8. Good Morning Zenny: I continue to pray for Cloud Man and for his team.

  9. More prayers are going out from here for Cloud Man. How devastating for all involved. This game can have some wonderful ups but also some devastating downs. Hang in their Cloud Man! We are all pulling for you. He looked awesome in the post parade as all of your John’s horses do.

  10. Dear Zenny
Good morning, sending prayers, thoughts and lighting
candles for your dear friend Cloudman and all of his
Connections. He is a special guy. Taking that one bad step. XXXXXOOO

  11. I hope and pray that CLOUD MAN can be saved, I am so sorry, I feel sick to my stomach.

  12. just lit a candle for Cloud Man and I’m praying for his recovery. Hugs to all his connections in this trying time.

  13. My heart is aching for those whose lives are lost already and I’m praying at the same time for Cloud Man to recover from his injuries. It sounds pretty complicated and severe, but hopefully he will pull through. Knowing they will try gives me some comfort. So sad.

  14. To Team Zenyatta, my heart breaks for you. I hope things will work out for Cloud Man. I was watching the race, had my 2 dollar bet on him and wished I could give all my money to reverse what I saw. I know if he can be saved the Mosses will try. Keep fighting beautiful boy.

  15. Trying to be patient waiting for the next diary entry. God bless you, Dottie for being the provider of all news, high and low, regarding Zenyatta and her connections. It is obvious all things Moss, Shirreffs, Barn 55 and Mike Smith related to racing, are embraced by us who come here.
In the mean time, I have lit a candle in each site set up for Cloud Man and continue praying for all.
I hope Zenyatta has had a wonderful long Thanksgiving weekend at Lanes End.

  16. Our prayers are with Cloud Man and wishing him a full and speedy recovery. We just saw him at John’s barn at Santa Anita not long ago and he was so sweet with Madison. This is the low point of this sport but I know the Moss’s will do all they can to save him. I lit a candle and my thoughts will be with you all day.

  17. We’re all praying for you, beautiful Cloud Man. And everyone at Barn 55 – our hearts and prayers are with you right now – we know that everything possible is being done to help him.

  18. Zenyatta, you have gone out of your way to thank everybody who has been a part of your life and helped you along. You are a real class act. This includes your first training, your time at Barn 55, your time at Lane’s End Farm-your current home, John, Dottie, and Sophie Shirreffs, your buddy Tasty, and your owners-Jerry and Ann Moss. By the way, I have seen the baby bumps of both you and Tasty. Both of you are looking great.

  19. Late in getting to this, Z. Thanks for your wonderful wishes. Back at ya! Love you always.

  20. Excellent web site. A lot of helpful info here. I’m sending it to a few buddies ans also sharing in delicious. And obviously, thanks for your sweat!

  21. Its such as you read my thoughts! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I feel that you can do with a few percent to force the message house a little bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
