Dear, dear, dear friends,
I am so proud and elated to share the news with you that I am now a MOM. I just gave birth to a lovely dark bay COLT, March 8th, at approximately 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time.
My adorable foal weighed in at 130 pounds, has a white star on his forehead….and some white on his feet. As Ann commented when she saw him, “he has polka dots on his feet, Zennie, just like YOU.”
All went very well with the foaling. I must say….I did it like a CHAMP!
My foal is absolutely precious…and I am so pleased to share this entire experience with all of you…my precious and loving friends.

We are all still just getting acclimated to this entire new experience. I’m doing great. MY BABY is doing great….and Bernie is also excited! I’ll update you again with some more photos in the morning.
All blessings to each of YOU….and THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART….for being there for ME and SHARING THIS WONDERFUL PART OF MY LIFE WITH ME!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(Can you believe it…..I’m now a MOM!)

Cant wait to see him on the race track he is a beautiful thing I’m lost for names but I agree it should be unique and not something of a mix of his parents names

Zenyatta looks like she is very much enjoying motherhood!! I’ve only bred a couple foals, and it was a LONG time ago, the nerves just about did me in. But seeing that baby and mom together, it’s genuine love. People who say animals don’t “love” have NEVER seen a mare and foal.
He is gorgeous. He has a very bright future ahead of him!! I bet he does a great job of following in Mom’s footsteps!!

Congratulations again, Zenyatta, on the birth of your beautiful son, who looks so very much like you! Even your ears are the same! He looks very curious and interested in his new world, and intent upon exploring it! You’ll have to keep up with him….what fun you two will have together! You are both magnificent- it runs in the family! Take plenty of pictures to share with us….and don’t forget how much we love you. Jean.

I’ll leave it to Shakespeare. I don’t own the words to express all of the JOY!
“Oh, this is wonderful, wonderful—just wonderful wonderful! And another wonderful, and beyond-my-ability-to-express wonderful!”

Been a huge Zenyatta fan since I saw her in person on the back side of Del Mar. The big horse with dance-like moves. Hope the colt can bugaloo and do the mash potatoe to the finish line!

We’re so happy for everyone and so proud of Z. I’m still voting for a name that’s just for him, like Carissimo, because he’s a little darling.
Love and hugs from all the Ravich/Cohens.

Ok, that is too cool! Thanks so much for sharing. It’s made my day. Lived in Chgo most of my life but i so yearn for a Farm-ite or something to have animals, and babies etc etc. Also love the mom’s name!
Great luck to you!

I adored Zenyatta the moment I first saw her. So rare to see this superb femininity and beauty in such a big, athletic mare. SHE IS PERFECT and WONDERFUL.
Thanks for sharing information and photos of her wonderful baby. Will be looking for him in the future. Love his markings.
