Breeders’ Cup is around the corner, and the sixth annual Zenyatta Celebration will begin on November 2. Each year, our online event raises money for Thoroughbreds in need with auctions, giveaways and even opportunities to meet Zenyatta.

Details of the 2018 Celebration will be announced soon, but we’re kicking off the fun right now with a t-shirt design contest. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

The contest begins now and ends on October 31, 2018 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. We will choose a group of finalists from all eligible entries, and you’ll be able to vote for the winner during the Zenyatta Celebration. The winning entry will be printed on a t-shirt that will be available for sale at the Zenyatta Shop in December.

The winner of the contest will receive a $150 Zenyatta Shop gift certificate plus six t-shirts featuring their design.

You can enter the contest by submitting a t-shirt design to fans@zenyatta.com. Designs must fit within an 8”x12” space. Entries must be submitted in .jpg, .png, .pdf, .psd, .ai, or .eps format. You must include your full name, mailing address, and email address with your entry in order to be eligible to enter to win.

Tip: Use https://wetransfer.com to send files that are too large to email.

On this day in 1995 Red Rum was euthanised due to the infirmities of old age.He was 30.I am always amazed that the 3 times Grand National winner raced for 11 seasons.I think of flat horses who maybe retire after 2 seasons. The memory of his GN’s live long in my mind especially in 1974 when in the space of 3 weeks he travelled 8 and1/2 miles and jumped 57 fences each time carrying 12st.He is buried in the place he called home the winning post at Aintree. He was a complete one off and remains in my heart for always Loved foreverX
    “Respect this place,This hallowed ground.”

    1. Dear Sheena,

Red Rum was definitely a one off. An absolute legend! RIP RR, you were indeed amazing.
      Thanks for the tribute, Sheena.

      Hugs and Love

  4. Roaring Lion is to race in the QEII instead of the Champion Stakes.Cracksman will wear blinkers for the first time.I am not a fan.

  5. I tried to post yesterday, but my computer has been acting a little wonky lately and my post apparently didn’t get through so here’s take 2. I just wanted to say Yay! It appears we may be getting a proper name for Z17 very soon. While that’s super, I for one, I have read this from many of you, would be more than a little interested to hear about Zenny and whether she will be bred this year and if so when and to whom. Then of course there is still the question of what’s happened to Ziconic. Also, I wanted to wish those of you affected by “wild weather” best of luck in recovering from it.

  6. It seems I keep waiting and waiting to hear anything about Zenny and her family, I so would like to know about Zenny’s little girl and what she will be named and what is she doing now. I am thankful for the updates on Coz but would really love to hear about Ziconic , where is he now and will he be racing again? I think everyone is waiting to find out if Zenny will be bred this coming year and who to. We all love the family and Ann for letting us be a small part of Zennys life. Praying God will watch over all of them and bring them much happiness in the future.
