Happy Monday!
We had a great time at Lane’s End. Zenyatta and 12Z were happy to see everyone, and there were plenty of carrots to go around.
12Z is now tall enough to put his head over the fence, and he weighs in at 560 lbs! He was in a playful mood and had lots of fun with both horse and human friends. Zenny showed off by splashing in the mud from Thursday night’s rain.

The Mosses also went to see one of their fillies at the farm. She is a little bit older than 12Z, and has recently been weaned. She is turned out with a happy and inquisitive group–some of her paddock mates had been weaned just two days before.

Wow, fantastic pictures. That first one of Zenyatta standing there as regal as can be just brings a tear to my eye. She is so special. Junior can put his head over the fence! Yay! And, it’s always great to see the Mosses! They are wonderful people. Thanks to all who took pictures and posted. Love getting the updates.

Yes, I agree about that first picture of Zenyatta — she looks as if she could jump out of the screen and ask for a pear! How wonderful would that be!

Wow those fillies are a terrific example of how fast Z12 is going to adjust. He’s gonna be fine. And so will Z. She’ll be upset at first but she’ll adjust too very quickly.

You most certainly see his resemblence (SP?) to the family. 12Z is quite the looker, and the Queen looks amazing. She has her dapples and that happy look in her eyes. Happy Birthday to Dottie!!!

Beautiful photos. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. Zenny certainly looked happy to see her ‘mom and dad’. 12Z has gotten to be a big boy and what a little firecracker he is! I love that his personality shines through.
Loved the weanling fillies too….lot’s of chestnuts in there, but all are very pretty little girls!

They all look so healthy and happy. Her colt looks royal and wonderful!! I have horses of my own and just can’t quite explain why I love looking at Zenyatta. Saw her at Oaklawn when she raced there and was just in awe of her. So glad to see these pics! Thanks for sharing.

Not too long now! He’s getting to be a big boy! He looks so good conformationally! And his face! What an expressive, handsome face! He’s going to be an inquisitive little truck who loves his job, just like mom! I can tell!

The photo of Anne Moss rubbing 12Z’s withers is so sweet. He is a handsome colt, and you can tell he knows he is special. Zenyatta looks so content it brings joy to my heart. Thanks for the photos. So many of us fans, check daily for our “Z” fix!!

Thanks sooo much for sharing!! Always brings a big smile on my face when looking at pics of Zenny and the family. My favorites are still of Ann & Zenny. Ann always has a great big smile and you can see it in Ann’s eyes when she looks at Zenny that it is pure love!! Makes me smile and tear up at the same time.
Baby Z is such a handsome big boy now. He is Gorgeous just like his Mama.
Does the Moss’s filly have a name yet? What is the mare’s name?

Z12 is looking just like his beautiful mommy these days!!! They look so happy and healthy. My daughter and I look forward to seeing new pictures of Zenyatta and her colt so much!! She didn’t get to see Zenyatta run, since she was still in belly, but her mommies are raising her to be just as big of a fan as we are, and it’s working, she knows her by name! Thanks for posting the pictures, we all just love seeing them :-)

He won’t be named for quite a while. They didn’t name Zenyatta until she was almost two years old.

The Mosses traditionally name their horses after their two year old training so they have an idea of talent and personality. We have a while to go before they announce the name,
“and it will be a good one, as he is Zenny’s son, no matter whether his is a talent on the
track or in the shed”.
