Merry Christmas everyone! Driving across the range for Christmas in just over an hour (from our mountains to the other side of the next range to the west). Should be beautiful.
We’re supposed to get almost 2 feet of snow Sunday! We’ll be driving up the mountains behind our home for 2nd Christmas with some more of our family members – if we can make up the mountain.
Love and Merry Christmas to everyone,
with love

Fans on the forum are trying to look for “works”
for the full brother to Zenyatta at Ballydoyle – they
don’t have any such thing in Europe as a work or
a timed work. They gallop every morning and plan
their races accordingly.
December 25, 2015 at 4:51 am
PS
Ballydoyle gsllops 70 or more horses every morning as well.
December 25, 2015 at 4:52 am
gallops not gsllops
December 25, 2015 at 5:02 am
Hopefully he will be back for the BCC !!!
December 25, 2015 at 7:09 am
I wonder if they’re not on to something over there. The conditioning, but also, the gallops themselves must be more interesting for the horses than the hard oval track.
I’ve wondered about Coz in that context.

Dear Sophia,
I think the Euro way of training is much more natural for the horse although
it is definitely training as they gallop out a course that is railed off, but they also
gallop them out in a field as well to clear their minds. And at Newmarket they have all types of training areas for the horses that are part of a beautiful landscape
and very natural. Unfortunately in the US we don’t have such lush and beautiful
landscape for our training tracks and race tracks. See the below video of how Adian works his horses at the Currah in 2013 – DOW is in group one; Camelot is in group 2; and there are 2 grand national contenders that come out first. A very educational video – Adian is working 60 horses.

Part 2 of the Curragh work in 2013 – each rider wears special color cap and is given an individual set of instructions by Adian. Looks very different from our
works

This video is of Ballydoyle gallops – first gallop of flat season in 2014.
This group is about 30 to 40 horses galloping together. Keep in mind,
each rider has been given instructions by Adian as to what they are supposed to be doing on the gallops.

Never So Few – Rags to Riches and Galileo is training at the barn of
Todd Pletcher – a dark bay, gorgeous, very european looking
like daddy – photo shows him training over the dirt. Hope he
shows mama RR proud. She has been trying …. Think this her second
foal by the great one. And oh great one wish you success on the dirt.
Love and hugs
December 25, 2015 at 5:19 am
He has had 8 breezes since October all at Palm Meadows on the dirt –
last one December 20; 3/14; 1.01
Maybe he will start soon and all that great bone from the great one will
balance off RR soundness issues.
Good luck boy !!!
December 25, 2015 at 5:34 am
There is no jockey mentioned yet, but JV rode RR to her victory in the Belmont
against the mighty Curlin.

Merry Christmas everyone
I have not been here for a long time.
I hope that everyone is doing well.
I know there will be a new post today so I am hoping that I can reach as many of you as I can before it changes.
I am asking for prayers for my Mom.
Mom’s cancer has gone to the bone, liver and another gland.
The first treatment that the DR. tried was not working.
That treatment was only for 2 months.
Now they are going to start with a harsher treatment.
The new drug is very poisonous to your system with many side effects.
I also read the life expectancy at this time. It is not long.
So for Christmas the gift I am asking for is prayer.
Prayer that my Mom does not suffer so bad her last few months.
That when she does leave us she is not in pain and very sick.
Thank you all
love Sue
