  1. Hopefully some new pics of Bear Witness and he now has a family album. He is so proud.American racing fans he needs your help please!Sheena

  2. Dear Kathy.I have certainly made many mistakes in my life. The human is not designed to be perfect even though many pretend they are and I love the idea of not cooking!I posted a link on your FB from the daily mail of the banquet last night Kate was in red and even Jeremy Corbyn was in white tie and tails!Shock!Horror! The fiming of James and Bob’s life story Joanne Froggatt from “Downton”is in it.So many are altering pics of Mr No Ears as if to show he was in a bad way with the AGA.I feel they have been too slow.No law says you can “own” a cat I would gone and broken their door down if it had been one of my cats!
Poor Zoe’s cubbies are not doing very well even mummy uttered some bad words .The abventure calendar is out with Marty and the ratties.I ended up with so many calenders last year I had no room to put them. The Dyfi’s will be out in November.I saw a wonderful video of Makybe Diva last night with her Starspangled banner filly and some lovely pics of her too. It’s a long time since I have seen her.Treve will be leaving Chantilly on Monday.I hope we still get news of her.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

    1. Dear Sheena,

Thank you for posting the banquet, I will check it out. James and Bob’s life story is a must see. Poor Mr No Ears, I agree, they’ve been too slow. I hope he’s back where he belongs soon. I felt bad for Zoe. She looked visibly upset. Gosh, Mommy came down kind of hard on the team! The abventure calendar looks cute. I totally understand how you ended up with so many calendars. Oh, the Dyfi calendar will be magnificent, I’m sure. The Makyge Diva video sounds good, I’ll have to look for it. Oh, I know you will hate to see Treve leave. I feel the same about AP leaving CA soon. Have a good Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

  3. RIP Cees Tizzy sire of the mighty Tiznow who has been euthanized because of the infirmities of old age.He was 28yrs old.Hugs Sheena

    1. Dear Sheena,
Thanks for the news of Cees Tizzy. Sorry that he has left us at 28.
RIP Cees Tizzy, beautiful papa of Tiznow

      Hugs and Love

    2. RIP CT. Love and Hugs, JB

  4. Papa Mandella is a genius he anticipated the shipping fever- allowed time for it and
hopefully she will have a clear lung scan today and return to the track and be able to
get her last breeze in before the Classic. She is a very big mare!!! She is his favorite not all of them get to have their trainers graze them. She is a puller, too. Best of luck to Beholder in her recovery, completeing her training. These trainers really know their horses.
    Love and hugs

  5. info on I’myoursugardaddy:
I got in contact with his trainer Scott Lake n was informed that after his last race
August 31 he came out walking really lame. X-rays showed that he suffered a splint
bone fracture up high n also showed an older injury a chip on the upper joint left
knee. Luckily both injuries are not liftethreatening but his racing career is over ):
To make sure his retirement will be joyful my husband n I have decided to adopt
him. Scott told me the vet gave green light to travel from Delaware to Southern
California which probably will be already next week!
Once he is here we will send him to a rehab farm just to make sure he is healing
well n then we will turn him out to a beautiful pasture at Boys of Republic in Chino
Hills (1/2 hr from Santa Anita) where he can romp around with our 2 retired fillies.
Scott was very nice n also sent me a pix of Tasty’s boy. He looks good n has a really
    sweet face!
Hopefully this news will make all the fans n “moms” of I’myoursugardaddy (n I know
there are plenty) very happy under these circumstances.
    I will keep u informed .

    1. Thank you Rosie. It is so wonderful to hear you and your husband have adopted this precious boy. Tasty is watching over her son and can now be at peace. Thank you again. Take good care. Mary Margaret.

    2. So good to hear he is going to have a wonderful forever home- will you retrain him?
Splint bone fx is a very minimal injury. And the other should also be recoverable so he should be rideable.

    3. Thank you, Rosie and husband!
Tears of joy knowing this special boy will be safe, sound and loved. Power Up precious son of TT.
Fans and “Moms” will sleep much better tonight.
Love and hugs. Such a relief……

    4. Dear Rosie:

God Bless you and your husband. This is the best news I’ve had in a long, long time. Thank you from my heart. Sugar is a lucky boy to have found a forever home with both of you. Love and Hugs, JB

    5. Rosie…. That is the best news I’ve had all day! Thank you and please, keep us updated and pics too.

    6. Dear Rosie, Glorious! God bless you both. What wonderful people you both are to adopt I’myoursugardaddy. His story and his being adopted would make a great movie! Also would make more people aware of all of these beautiful horses that are not cared for or basically abandoned. Yesterday, was such a sad day to read his story. God answers prayers, and this time we got to see it. with love and continuing prayers and blessings for him, and you and your husband. with love, Elizabeth

    7. Oh, Rosie, thank you so much, and thank you for letting us know, so we can celebrate with you! Many of us have been following him and wondering about him. This is indeed the best news! Z-hugs.

    8. Thank you, Rosie, for this great news. You and your husband have our heart-felt thanks. Hope we can look forward to updates as Sugar heals and starts his new life in the golden state.

    9. Rosie,
God Bless you for adopting this boy. Good health, happiness and lots of fun with Sugar in the years to come. Cannot lie, your post brought me to tears. Again bless you and thank you.

    10. Dear Rosie, It’s great what you and your hubby have done for Tasty’s boy….Thank you
from the bottom of my heart.

    11. Rosie, Thank you so much to you and your husband. I have been so worried about him.
God bless you for this. Please Please keep us posted on him. He’s been in my prayers for a long time and he will stay there.

    12. Rosie; you are an angel in disguise.

    13. Dear Rosie,
Thanks to you and your husband for this beautiful act of kindness and love. So happy to know that I’myoursugardaddy will be safe and loved. Please keep us posted on his progress.
      Best Wishes and Bless you!
      Hugs and Love

    14. Thank you Rosie for taking care of that boy. So nice to know he is safe and in a good home.

    15. Rosie
Bless you! You two have so many future adventures ahead.
Thank you for this news. Look forward to updates.

    16. Rosie,
Was just thinking last night that we are approaching the one year anniversary of the loss of Z Princess. Perhaps little Curly Mane brought you and Sugar together. With all the donations given to rescue groups in her honor she, like Ferdinand, gave life and hope to so many other horses.

    17. Thank you for stepping up Rosie, wonderful to hear. Perhaps once IYSD has moved to Chino and had time to settle in you would consider having a meet and greet one morning or afternoon. I’m sure some of his So Cal fans would love to meet him, count me in, and of course let us know what his favorite treats are. All the best for a happy transition.

  6. Simon Bray will be in TVG studio for some of lead up to BC. He has been in my prayers and it will be so good to see him. I decided to root for AP and Beholder in the classic. Should Beholder win the classic I do still believe AP has to be HOY which I hope will be on TVG this year. Thinking of Z Princess everyday. Miss you baby girl. Lots of love to Zenny, Coz and Zi. This is my golden age of racing!

    1. So glad to hear that Simon is well enough for some on-air work. Continued prayers and best wishes to him.

    2. Vicki, Thank You so much for letting us know about Simon. He and Rich are my favorites at TVG. Will sure be looking forward to seeing him.

  7. To those that were following Bear Witness and his recovery, sorry to say, he went over the Rainbow Bridge. RIP

I knew Bear’s Great Grand Daddy, Bailjumper very well. What a small world.

    2. RIP Bear. Run free and strong in heavens pastures. Love and Hugs, JB

    3. Dear Heidi,
Thank you for the update. This is so sad, but at least BW knew he was truly loved until the very end and beyond. RIP Bear Witness, you beautiful soul

      Hugs and Love

    4. RIP, Bear W.
You were a very courageous and brave boy.
Bless those folks who showed you genuine love and care during your final days.

    5. Dear Heidi,
Thank you for posting about Bear Witness. So sad, but I think he’s running now with all of our missed beloved horses. God’s many blessings for you. with love, Elizabeth

  8. I have just heard about Bear’s passing. He was so weak he fell in his paddock last night and he had to be put to sleep at 11.05am this morning.John and Jessie are devastated. He will be buried at his home.Thank God this horse found love and kindness in his final days. This story has touched my heart like no other considering who his grandfather was.Sheena
I am happy to hear about Tasty’s boy.He will have a good life.

  9. Dear Judy.A typical day of good and bad news.I am so happy for Tasty’s boy getting such a lovely home.I hope Max knows.I am heartbroken about Bear he was just too weak.I an only find some solace in that he died in loving arms but that this should have happened to a champion’s son and grandson beggars belief.I pray his death will not be in vain.
There are plenty of euros coming over for the Breeders cup.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

    1. Dear Sheena:

So, so very sorry for Bear. It happens too often. Rest In Peace Beautiful Boy.

More than one of Secretariat’s and other Champion’s families have needed rescuing. Some of them probably never even made it to safety. Not to mention all of the not so famous offspring who just disappear. Heartbreaking. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap, Herc, Frank, Bentley and all the Sweeties

      1. Dear Sheena and Judy,
So very sad about Bear. So glad he was loved his last few days.
        Love and hugs

        1. Dear Tizgood:

Yes, he knew kindness and love at the end of his life. Love and Hugs, JB

  10. Dear Mama Z, COZ, ZI and Montey:

Goodnight. Happy Dreams. Sweet Baby Dreams Z. Love Ya. Hugs, JB

Z Princess, Dubai, will always love you.

  11. Don’t know if the very special “Frosted” could ever beat A. Pharoah or Beholder but this boy sure tries so hard and I am hoping he will do well in the Breeders Cup. Best of luck wishes sent out to the whole Darley team.
Frosted listen sure want you to make it back to the barn to pass out to sleep after the Classic. Save a little energy. All you horses are wonderful. Love Ya.

    1. I love Frosted to, he has grown up so much and he is a very tough horse now. Showing Tapit proud.

    2. Dear Peggy:

Indeed, they are. Love and Hugs, JB

    3. Oh, Frosted is a wonderful young horse. He might just give them a run for it!

    4. Don’t forget Curlin’s boy, Keen Ice. Don’t think he will beat AP but think he could be in the money. Of course, those Curlins are like fine wine. They get better with age.

Just hope American Pharoah is at the top of his game.

Love Beholder, but don’t think she is on a par with our Zenyatta! None like Zenny.

      1. Beholder is in line for the hall of fame with graded wins at 2, 3, 4 and 5. She does have a better body of work over time than The Queen especially with her devastating win over the boys in the Pacific Classic. Her test will be to win the BCC, which is going to be a big test. Zenny did not have to beat a TC winner and American Pharoh can be compared to Frankel in his movement and stride.
The Queen is the Queen and no one is like her and can be compared to her for sure !!!!
        Love and hugs

  12. So worried about my Night Prowler. So hope they are just giving him a rest. So hard not knowing. Love you my beautiful boy.

    1. Dear Peggy:

Hope NP’s OK too. Love and Hugs, JB

    2. Peggy,
Hope all is well with Night Prowler. It is so sad when they just drop out of sight. Have been trying to find out something about Far From Over who was injured in the spring. At that time, he was supposed to be back in the fall. So far no word. Have tried calling the owners, Black Rock Thoroughbreds but all I get is voice mail. If I hear or see anything on NP, I will be sure to post.

  13. Max, so hoping your ok. Just doesn’t seem right without you posting. Hope you come back soon.

  14. Goodnight Mama Z, rest extra for your baby bump
love you with kisses and your sons
love zprincess and my dear Sir
    Auntie Sally B

  15. Dear Sheena,
Bloodhorse just printed an article with all Euro contingent, so very impressive.
It is going to be a wonderful 2 days. Did not realize there was going to be such a
great showing from across the pond. GH is coming on Saturday, how exciting. I guess
he will be in quarentine for awhile, maybe someone can sneak in to get photos!!!!
    Love and hugs

    1. PS
Frankie is going to be in top form on his favorite horse of all time.

  16. Thank you, so much, Rosie & hubby for rescuing “Sugardaddy”. I’m sure that Tasty is thrilled that you did this for her son. May you create many happy memories with your new horse!

So sad to hear about Bear Witness’s passing. May his rescuers be consoled that they showed him the love he deserved for his last days here.

  17. Scroll down for the Bear’s last resting place.May he find peace. .Sheena

  18. Ziconic has not had a work since August 26, 2015. Looks like JS is
letting him grow until he is 3 before he runs- darn hoped he would
be 2 year old champion- oh well now on to KY derby winner.
    Love and hugs

  19. October 22 Cherokee Devotional

Life is a decision, a personal decision. We can stand on drifting sand and believe that whatever will be, will be, or we can stand firmly on principle that if something is wrong we can change it.
Instead of nursing pulse-taking tendencies and listening to every commercial on what is available for medical treatment, remember our instructions: Let the weak say, “I am strong.”
We can become victims of temporary relief or we can separate ourselves from the hype and discover renewal that is not temporary-but eternal. Relief by the Spirit is a reality-and totally free.

This house is a medicine house, and you come here to tell us lies.

  20. I’m so extremely sad to read that Bear Witness passed away. It’s comforting knowing he was with people who loved him in the end. Run free in heaven, beautiful boy. RIP.

  21. Dear Kathy. It’s o easy to “pop a pill”for our ills these days but they are no cure.I was in tears looking at Bear’s grave earlier.Someone said he had raced at Churchill Downs and Santa Anita.A story comes along that really touches the heart. We get them in the UK.John and Jessie are overwhelmed by the support and messages. If this can happen to a grandson of Secretariat there is no hope for the lesser-known horses.
No change with William Fox-in-a -hole either still sedated.I remember Max telling me about the Panda cubs in Toronto Zoo.They arrived on Tuesday a 1st for Canada.Early days but they are cautiously optimistic.Poor Mango Grampa has had a stroke and Nay is stuck in Phoenix plus they had storms and the power went off.Nay told her God never gives us more than we can handle and to be strong.Gosh, Zoe is going to be a busy little girl today and she’s got new bows!Did you see the poem Wimbley wrote about his baff?Kate looked lovely yesterday in an aubergine dress was nearly £2,000!!!Hope you have a lovely Friday eve.No doubt we’ll hear about Hovis’hairdo tomorrow.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

  22. Dear Sheena,

It was very hard to learn that Bear Witness lost his struggle to survive. Unimaginable that a grandson of Secretariat would end up like he did. So heartbreaking. May he rest in peace. Prayers continue for William Fox. Oh, I hope the pandas make it. They are such beautiful creatures. Sad news about Judy’s father. Such a shame Nay is gone right now. Sorry to hear she’s stuck in Phoenix. Zoe’s day will be crazy busy from the sounds of it. She will be one tired pup tonight! Had to laugh at Wimbley’s poem. The ratties’ mom is very clever and creative! Kate looked wonderful, but then she always does. I wish you a great Friday Eve, too. Looking forward to Hovis tomorrow! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

  23. Such a great report on Beholder; is she spoiled or what? She has her own round pen. Not many TB come to the BC with a round pen. Guess it is for her to work out her nervous evergy. Glad she is back and ready to roll slowly….

  24. Thank you all so much for your kind and loving comments with regards to the adoption of Imyoursugardaddy. My husband and I are super happy and can’t wait to start taking care of him.
I will regularly be posting pictures and updates over in his column/forum.
He is expected to arrive by the end of next week :) Someone suggested to have a meet and greet and I would love to do that at some point.
Thank you again and we are all a team here!

    1. Rosie,
You are sweethearts! God Bless You and Happiness always.
      Hugs and Love
