I’m mostly ok . Dialysis is going well🙂. Still having lots of migraines😨 (weather doesn’t help) + vision👀 issues & Trying to schedule cataract surgery. The surgeon now has Covid so it’s postponed some more. Sigh. Trying to schedule dr appts is a royal pain. Ugh.😑 But other than that, I’m hanging in there👍.

I’m inclined to agree with them on this issue. Seems doping is more rampant in all types of equine sports than we ever knew; certainly in horse racing.

It cites too many equine veterinarians who vouch that EPO use is rampant in the sport. If it’s a question of Baffert’s word against that of an equine vet testifying to Congress, I know who I am going to believe!
Wow Vamp Sue hope everything you mentioned gets better. Just looked at updates on foal patrol and Spanish Bunny still seems in no hurry to have her foal.
Coincidentally, Traveling Tiger had her foal 2 days early in the year of the Tiger. The Bengal Tigers however lost the Super Bowl. Spanish Bunny, who has had 6 other foals pretty much right on the money must have decided to be fashionably late this year as she is 2 days away from being 2 weeks late. It could be worse. She now has a pasture pal named Pink Caddy who was supposed to have had her foal back in January. YIKES! Oops almost forgot, you can see Traveling Tiger’s little filly who is a month old now on the foal patrol site. Good Night and Pleasant Dreams to all.

Here we go again. Well, the Jockey Club tried to put a cap of 140 mares to be bred to a stallion in a season…………May have decreased the number of heart attacks in stallions.

Personally, I think the rule made a lot of sense with more humane treatment of the stallions. Power and money are more important than the horses, I guess.

Speaking of beautiful babies, Spanish Bunny had a COLT at 9:20 your time. He is of course adorable. I had to watch the actual birth on Vimeo, but there are now pictures on utube under Foal Patrol Season 5 Spanish Bunny. Have a glorious, wonderful night.
Oops, I forgot to mention I think his Daddy Uncle Mo would be very proud. The next foal is due 03/13. The mom is Elate, who is the daughter of Medaglia d’ Oro and Cheery by Distorted humor. The dad will be Speightstown. Let’s hope this little isn’t quite as late as SB ‘s who was 15 days late. Unusual for her I understand. She’s had 6 other foals 4 of which have gone to race. What is wrong with some of the people involved in horse racing/breeding? Now they want to force the stallions to breed mares until they drop dead. And heaven forbid we should put the horses first, before the almighty dollar. Seems they are trying to destroy horse racing.
Cafe Pharoah (American Pharoah), remember him as a possible candidate from Japan for the KY Derby couple of years ago. He didn’t make it to the Derby, but he just won a stakes race that qualifies him for the BCC. Hope he stays healthy and makes it here this year. He’s gorgeous. Scroll down for the video. What is wrong with some of the people involved in horse racing/breeding? Now they want to force the stallions to breed mares until they drop dead. And heaven forbid we should put the horses first, before the almighty dollar. Seems they are trying to destroy horse racing.

How awful that this happened to Creative Plan and who knows how many others. Those photos of his front feet say it all — I don’t see how anyone could have put this innocent boy into a race. So heartbreaking — where do these people come from? Yes, morally wrong is an accurate description, along with cruel, negligent and heartless.
RIP sweet Creative Plan, so sorry. Running with winged-feet now. 💔
