Happy Oaks / Derby Week to Everyone!
Wow! It is hard to believe that it is already May! The weather is a bit nicer here this morning. It is not too hot and the rain in Lexington has stopped for the moment. Everyone in town is hoping that the weather cooperates to make it a fun and fabulous week for all of our many visitors!
My Moss Pal, ZAZU, leaves CA very early in the morning on Tex Sutton’s plane and will land in Kentucky tomorrow around 10ish. I’m wishing her a nice, relaxing flight and a very successful Oaks week. The Moss’ and Dottie will be arriving late Tuesday. I am SO excited to be able to visit with them during the next several days. They did say they were going to spend LOTS of time with ME while they are in town. This is GREAT NEWS!
How about the 60 MINUTES program which aired last night! It is interesting that many people throughout the country were able to see the segment and commented about it to all of my TEAM. In California, the last part of it was interrupted due to BREAKING NEWS! John said that they were able to see it on-line…which is terrific! I know they MISS ME!
I think 60 Minutes did a wonderful job on MY update! It is so special that they were able to show me outside in the paddock with my dear friend, Pirates Queen. The portions on MY TEAM were adorable! Just in case, you did not get to see it last night or live in CA and the segment was interrupted, I’m including the 60 Minutes Link for you! They really did a wonderful job capturing so many special moments of MY LIFE!
Enjoy!

Thanks, darling Zenyatta, for providing a link to the 60 Minutes episode. I was able to see it online last night, but I’d been taping it to keep forever, and now I’ve got a copy of the “breaking news” instead. You looked adorable as usual in the updated portion. I’m glad you’re doing well. Love you, pretty girl!

I miss seeing and touching you Zenny at Barn 55

Z the show was fabulous! You’re right it was great to see you out romping with your friend. It was by accident that I caught it but was SO glad I did. It was great! Just as you are! Enjoy your week and your visitors.

Good Luck to Zazu!

Loved 60 minutes last night, I have watched the replay twice today. Z, I hope you have a great week visiting with all your Ca. family. You will have to share your treats with your pals, because I am sure you will probably get more than you can eat by yourself. Love from Tn. Queen Z.
Jenna
Luckily, on the east coast it wasn’t interrupted. Z still looks gorgeous. I hope all is well with her. Any word? Photos?

Hi Z! yes, I was not happy that they interrupted the last part about you last night. On the other hand the news was terribly important to the United States. Finally, the families and friends of those who died have received a bit of justice. Sadly, it also brought 9/11 to the forefront, again, and opens up a flood gate of sadness. On a better not, I am so very glad that you are doing so well. Some of your fans want to know about your pregnancy or if you were bred back. Me, I don’t care a bit. I am just happy to know that you are happy and healthy. And, I believe that you are happy. Have a wonderful day Z, and let us know how much fun you are having with your visit with your family. xxoo

Zenny, is their an email we can mail you pictures and stories too?

Z i would not have missed it for the world. I loved the end where you just kicked up your heels. Looks like you are having fun, which is great. You will always reign as horse racing’s queen though. You are alway on our minds.
We love you so.

Z, You look terrific as usual. It made my heart sing!!! Thanks to 60 Minutes. A busy week ahead leading up to the Derby. I also hope the weather corporates. We are having nasty weather also. Enjoy your week and your visitors. I know they are happy as can be that they get to spend time with you. I love you!!! Be in touch!!! xoxoxoxo

I didn’t get to see the end of it. A very very bad man was conquered, though, so I didn’t mind. It means all of us- including you- are safe! You can just go back to rollin’ around in the mud- don’t you worry! :)
I love you, Zenny! <3

Thanks so much for the link. I think we caught most all of the segment, but between the tornado warnings and flood warnings – not sure. I will go see if there’s anything I missed. You sure looked incredible Z! I think I enjoyed seeing you romp w/PQ the most. Y’all were so cute. Your team did a fantastic job, too! Kudos, carrots and peppermints to you all

Watched the show, fell in love with you all over again! Glad to see the update, YOU ARE STILL SUCH A PRETTY GIRL!!!

Watching Mike Smith talk about you brought tears to my eyes. I saw that interview with him when it originally aired, but it got me again! Love the update!! It’s so wonderful to see that you are so loved.
Lauren
Dear Zenny – It was a beautiful story on you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so nice to see your new home and your friend grazing in the grass. Honestly, I will never forget your winning the Breeder’s Cup. Actually it was on the same date as my birthday – it was a great present!! God Bless you beautiful girl. We love you. GO LAKERS!!!!!

Dearest Zenyatta,
My family and I watched your 60 minutes segment last night in its entirety and as always I was moved to tears when I saw you. There is something about you, sweet Z, that turns my heart to mush. Your Mikey had it so right whenever he said you would be remembered as the greatest horse ever!
So excited to see Zazu run! And how nice that you’ll be getting to visit with your family and friends this week. Let’s hope the sun will shine down on Kentucky! :)
Love and kisses,
Stel

I sure hope that the posts will continue this week since Dottie will be in KY. Not sure if we can go more than a day or two without a message from the Queen.

Great photo of John & Dottie

@Kathy Kimber. As you can see from Zenyatta’s new post, Zazu is in the Oaks. If you google Kentucky Oaks, the official site will come up. It is a very nice site with pictures and details about all of the fillies. They are all beautiful horses but I do like Zazu best because of Zenyatta, the Mosses and her charming name. Repeat it over and over and you laugh and smile. Go Zazu!
Misty
No matter how many times I have seen Zenyatta on 60 minutes, racing, or playing in her field, my eyes still swell up with tears over how beautiful she is.

So So Happy you are Happy

Thank you so much for providing the direct link to the 60 Minutes segment. I wasn’t able to watch it first time on tv last night, but did watch it online and naturally, thought it was wonderful. Anything starring Zenyatta is wonderful!!! Now we will have a link to it to be able to refer back to and watch whenever we need to see a bit of our Queen. I am so happy the Mosses and Dottie will be able to visit with you this week. I will be wishing the very best for Zazu and that she and all the other colts and fillies run safe and return to their barns healthy and sound.

We saw you on 60 Minutes last night and feel they did an awesome job. You looked beautiful, as usual, and I could feel the love Mike has for you. You have enriched my life with your sweet face and personality.

Hi Zenny! I really enjoyed the 60 minutes segment last night! They did a wonderful job paying tribute to our beloved miss Z!

Hi, Zenny! Loved the show- every time I see you, it seems like the first time. That is, it’s always a thrill! And, yes, your team looked and sounded great. This is kind of silly, but I was proud of them- like they were family or something! You were superb, of course- it was so good to see you and PQ together! Love you!!
@ KARI B: my favorite Pat Summit story is when she was in labor and wouldn’t let the pilot land until they got to TN so her son would be born here! That’s dedication!

Hi Zennie – thanx for posting the link to 60 minutes – I can’t wait to watch it. I was very happy about the breaking news but I went GROAN!!! OH NO! NOT DURING MY ZENYATTA SEGMENT!!!! ARGHH!
I can’t wait to watch it online.
Hugs from Los Angeles.
