Good Morning,
I can’t believe how quickly the time flies by. The Preakness is now over and on to the Belmont Stakes. I would like to congratulate the winner, Shackleford, and all of his connections on this victory. He ran a wonderful race, attended the pace the entire trip, and finished with true desire! My pal, Mr. Commons, ran a nice race from the 14 post. He also lost a shoe during the running. He came out of it in good order and is back home in California. He was already out relaxing and grazing this morning at Barn 55.
John and Dottie are also back in California! They are so, so impressed with how many people in Maryland stopped them to ask about ME! I’d mentioned this the other day to you, but more and more people continued to come up to them and share their ZENYATTA STORIES! Dr. Grayson from Florida really touched their hearts. Then yesterday, while Dottie was leaving a church in Baltimore, Betsy, a woman who worked at the church, stopped to visit. She told Dottie and John that she and her friends read My Diary each day. She also commented that she has 2 photos in her office at the church: one of her husband and one of ME! This is TOO CUTE! I really can’t tell you how this makes me feel. Per Betsy, “I was very instrumental in UNITING people and uniting the sport.” What a kind thing to say! I must say, I am truly blessed to have so many endearing and supportive friends!
On another TOO CUTE note, several people were also telling them that their license plates have MY NAME on them. One friend, Candy, received her plates as a birthday gift from her friends. They just arrived and are on her car driving around Lexington as I’m writing this. She sent Dottie this photo to share with all of you! If you see her driving around, please give Candy a big wave and a HIGH HOOF for ME!
With love,
Hugs to All~

You will always be my sunshine; hail to the Queen of Racing and of My Heart!
Donna from Baltimore
Yes, the Queen is very much loved in Maryland. Amazing how her popularity just keeps growing. Those who thought she would fade into obscurity after the BCC 2010 couldn’t have been more wrong!!!! Of course, we Z-fans KNEW that – High Hoof to Queen Z!!!
Nancy
Too cute on the license plate ! We love you !

Love, love, love reading these posts! The great Zenyatta touched so many people’s hearts, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all carry her around with us every day. I know that any time I feel discouraged or think I can’t do something, I think of her and what she did in her final race, and it still fills my heart with hope. She is so much more to so many people than a great race horse.
Nancy
You are not on my license plate, but you and Mario are my computer wallpaper so I can look at you off and on all day long. I miss you, Z.
Di
Cute! I wish we could do that on our plates!
Kirren
I would love to have a “Zenyatta” license plate, but a few people here in California already beat me to it! I remember seeing one in the Hollywood Park parking lot the day of your last race on your home track. :)
Happy Monday, Z! Love and miss you!

Beautiful Zenyatta, My dear pretty girl, we are the ones who are so blessed to have you as a friend and I can assure you we will always be supportive of you no matter what. And how lucky are the Maryland people who had the opportunity to meet Dottie and John, that would probably render me speechless to see them out in public. I can’t imagine how Dottie takes care of all her responsibilites with such grace, thank you Dottie. I miss you Zenny.

I know there must be certain friends of mine who get tired of me talking about you and your diary (thanks Dottie.) Guess what? I love them, but I don’t care. Keeping up with you always adds some happiness to my day.
Nose kisses and peppermints (as I *suspect* you are not allowed Guiness these days ;-) WINK!
Lynette Lucas
Zenny – Love you big girl!! I think it is great there is license plates out there with your name! I would get one with your name on a license plate but I live in Mine that Bird territory and I don’t think it would work!! Love you!! Hugs and Kisses from Roswell,NM!!!

Madame Queen,
You and your connections will just have to get used to the bottomless well that is “Zenyatta love!”
Those who are lucky enough to have personal Z stories will always be eager to share them, and the rest of us can’t wait to hear them!
It’s hard to explain, but you and Team Z have inspired so many people, and we look forward to reading your Diary for ongoing news of you as well as the uplifting messages that are posted here by your scribe as well as your fans. Thank you!
Love the photo and love the license plate. Think I need to go to the Registry……

That license plate is like you Zenny. It’s too cute! I’ll be sure to look for it while I’m driving around town. Loving you in Lexington :-)

Z what a lovely thing to have people just come up to Dottie and John to talk about you. And, a friend from Kentucky, how fitting, has a license plate with your name. It is so cool Z!!! Have a wonderful day Z xxoo
Debbie
Zenyatta, I don’t think anyone can truly fathom just how much you have touched people. You mean more to me than I can put into words. I redid my home office & I too have a gorgeous photo on the wall of you winning the Classic at Santa Anita. I was there & had more fun than EVER! My husband jokes that we owe our 15 minutes of fame to you, as we can be seen cheering at the rail whenever they replay that great race. Hugs from Los Angeles!

Zenny-I think you would be surprised at how many people you have affected and who love and cherish you! And I think Dottie and John would be SHOCKED at how many people love and admire them, too!! I’m glad Mr. Commons is back home, feeling fine-I was proud of him. Shackleford did look very determined, didn’t he? Hope you and The Girls had a great day, sweet girl. Love you!
Janie
You are the epitome of the perfect race horse, pretty Zenyatta, and it’s no wonder at all why everybody stops Dottie and John to talk about you. You have touched so many lives and you just make people happy, that’s all. I hope you are avoiding that nasty weather around your area – stay safe and happy, darlin’.
marcia deeb
HI zenny, just wanted to tell you and everyone that I have an 8×10 picture of you in a frame behind my bed. EVERYBODY. If you didn’t get to see the link I posted on 254, here it is again.
http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/sales-news/2011/05/23/zenyatta-inspires-mathis-stable-to-return-to-game.aspx
It’s about a new filly bought by Mathis Stables and John is going to train her and some other horses that Mathis bought.
Also, here is a link to a picture of the filly that Ensign posted at the bottom of 254.

@Ensign. Hope you don’t mind that I did this. This filly is drop-dead gorgeous, dark bay, dappled, looks like she has some white on her face. Would love to know how big she is and maybe see some other pictures of her. Thanks for the link.

P.S. Love the license plate! Also, check out Abigail from Montreal’s “The Vault.” She has a video posted about Secretariat and what that Belmont race meant to her (and more)- it’s really good.
Thank you, Dotie and Team Z!

Oops! Awaiting moderation for that last post, probably because of the two links I put in it. Hope it goes through. If it doesn’t, check the bottom of 254 to get both of them.
