Good Morning All,
Yesterday, as further details and reports were published in relation to the tornado and Churchill Downs, it continued to amaze ME that there were no injuries of note to human or horse. The photos published during the day showed the level of damage… and it truly was miraculous! Thank goodness for the quick reactions and assistance by so many wonderful people. Also, it was mentioned that the actual construction of the Churchill Barns…with the hay storage areas located above the stalls being so strong and well built…added to the safety of so many horses in this storm.
There is a phrase MY TEAM often reflects upon when hearing certain things like this and it is LUCKY US! This thought certainly applies at this time to this situation.
I must say, I was so touched by your comments yesterday referring to GRATITUDE, CHERISHING THE LITTLE THINGS and BEING THANKFUL! These feelings and emotions are so important to practice in life.
With this thought in mind, I truly want to again express how THANKFUL I am for ALL of the wonderful people I have and have had in my life. On so many levels, it certainly has been a bit of work to get ME to the place where I am today. I do understand that I have talent, but I am also fully aware of the fact that I could not have done it by just having talent or by myself. So much in life depends upon people working together for the best interest of one individual or another or the greater good for many.
Thus, while grazing, the thought occurred to me to THANK my pal at Lane’s End, MATT, for being so terrific to ME. So I did! I walked right over to him and gave him a BIG KISS. I must say, I do think this caught him a bit by surprise. As you can see in this photo, I made him laugh. I think at this moment, Matt truly thought I was TOO CUTE!
This morning, Dottie mentioned that I currently have over 86,000 Face Book Friends! Wow…I am deeply touched by this number!
I’m sending each of you a BIG THANK-YOU KISS too!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(All 86,131 of YOU!)

Dearest Z, yesterday finally got around to framing this beautiful 8 x10 of you that I had. (I am a terrible procrastinator). All my life, I never dreamed I’d have a picture of a race horse hanging up—I told my husband we had to get and put out some pictures of the family now because I can just hear everyone now: you have a picture of that horse up and not one of me. LOL Of course, we would have to tell them that you are not ‘that’ horse, but THE horse. :)

Love this picture – I surely would love to be the recipient of that big kiss! Lucky Matt! Your posts are always inspirational as well as informative. Truly one of the bright spots of my day (not to mention reading what everyone else writes). You certainly have lots of “family”!! Who else can claim 86,000+!! (thanks Dottie and Sarah for pics)

You are so right Momma Z! It does take a team of great people, not just one! And you have that great team. Everyone who wanted to see you succeed and knew you could succeed!
I also think its awesome that Keeneland is helping at Churchill Downs! It is great to see both tracks come together in this time of need! I hear that Churchill will be racing tonight under the lights! If I was in Kentucky I would certainly go in show of support!
Hope all is well with you and foal! Thanks for the kiss! xoxo

Days without Zennygrams are days without sunshine!!!! You and Dottie should run for the presidency and vice presidency!!! We need great hearts there… The personality that comes across of both Zenny and Dottie are crystal clear and beautiful! To me, they are two of my best friends! I only wish I lived nearby and could walk over to see them every day and bring Zenny a carrot or peppermint…but they are here with me and always in my heart…I love them both.
Stephanie
I love seeing pictures of you in the sunshine, just being a horse. Enjoy the lazy days of summer Zenny, you’ve earned it.
