Good Morning,
I wanted to give you an update on HOW I AM DOING! I am eating very well…no surprise there…and enjoying myself tremendously. My number of treats is being monitored (as it should be) and I am drinking lots of water each day and nothing else.
As you can see, I do have a bit of a BABY BUMP. I am HAPPILY gaining a few pounds…right in the middle. As many of you may know from your own personal experiences, this is what happens when you are having a baby!
In the responses, many of you have asked about my actual breeding date. It was on April 3rd. Time is flying by so quickly. Another fun fact to note is that my paddock pal, Tasty Temptation, was also bred on the very same day. She was bred to Candy Ride and is also in foal.
Thus, Tasty T. and I have a great deal in common. We are both experiencing the exact same stages of our pregnancies together.
In looking at this photo, the clouds look amazing in the background. The sky is gorgeous…and the Kentucky Blue Grass is so lush. My friend, Matt, also looks good! He is so sweet and I so appreciate the fact that he will spend the one-to-one time grazing me like this!
As for ME, I think I look pretty terrific in this picture! (Blush, Blush) My coat looks fabulous, my dapples are glowing and I do think my overall appearance is TOO CUTE!
I’ll keep you posted and updated on what I’m doing as we go along. I’m still very busy with my friends and all of my charity work! The other day Lane’s End told ME that I recently raised $8,500 for a charity named RIDING FOR HOPE. ($2,500 for one of my halters and $6,000 for a visit with ME!)
This organization is one that “is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse”. **
I am so grateful to be able to HELP!
This concept of further developing your life in the midst of having a second career, in my case…having a baby, is quite gratifying! I am really trying to use my time wisely to help others and to do my very best to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z

Just keep that bun in the oven, Lady Z. My own mare has not carried a foal to term for two years now, about two months ago she slipped the one that was due this summer. Equine reproduction can be surprisingly tricky, glad to see that our Queen is still in foal.

Looking good Z! So good to hear that you are doing so well. What a joy; waiting for your baby, eating green kentucky grass with your friend and laying in the sun. Life does not get any better than that! Have a great day Z! xxoo

Good Mama work Zenny…keep on staying healthy and beautiful..

I love you and Rachel’s baby bumps…

I do think there would be a line as long as Kentucky of people who would volunteer to take Matt’s job – even for a day or an hour. He does look handsome, but instead of sharing the bluegrass with him, I think a cheeseburger might be in order – he looks a little thin to me.
You are looking fabulous and I’m so glad you are feeling well. Thank you and your team for all the good charity work. Always appreciated!
Now, Tasty T. and Candy R. – Congrats to them! I’m sure we could go on and on coming up with good names for that baby, too.
Peppermint kisses!

hmmmmm…..doesn’t look like much of a “bump” there, sweetie. I think you’re just letting down from racing shape and becoming a ‘horse’ again. That “baby bump” will appear back toward your flanks and you’ll just look a ‘little fuller’. As always, you look wonderful and I’m glad you are keeping those dapples. You don’t even look sunburned! Stay content… and watch those clouds that whirl around in the same place! I’m so glad they only damaged barns at Churchill Downs.

Zenny- you look so good! Thank you for the update on your delicate condition-and Tasty T’s! How fun that you will have babies together! You have a very full life and you have such a positive influence on so many people, me included! Equine therapy is such a wonderful thing. I’m so glad you were able to help them out! Love you!
To my Z friends: I will get caught up later today. I miss you <3

Isn’t the weather beautiful today, Z? The rain is finally leaving Kentucky! :) Your baby bump is showing and it’s a pretty one indeed! ENJOY THE SUN! :) We might get some rain later! <3

You’re such a busy girl, Big Mama Z. Getting ready for a baby AND doing charity work. You are so smart. Tasty Temptation and Candy Ride? Oooh, they’re going to have fun naming that foal. Now you guys will be racing for a different reason. Who will have her baby first? You look great, big girl. Keep up the good work. XOXOX!!!

Dearest Z,
You’re soooo wonderful to always think of others! Your generous heart will be forever remembered as equally as your prowess on the racetrack.
The grass looks so lush and green–it must take so yummy to you. And it’s giving your little one added nutrition to grow big and strong! :) I must say that pregnancy looks fabulous on you, dear Queen. And congrats to Tasty Temptation! You two must have so much to talk about.
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.
Love,
Stel

Hi Z …. you just look a little fluffy to me; in all the right places of course! I wish I was your neighbor in Kentucky; I’m a little farther away over in Texas! Kentucky is the only state I’ve visited where I would actually leave Texas to live. Now that’s alot. I visited Lane’s End, but it was several years ago. I sure hope visitors can soon come visit you. I would give you a BIG TWO ARMED HUG~ only the best for our Zenyatta~ Ride in the sunshine; you’re so special!

Zenyatta,
You are a great gal who has a loving team to guide you along this new path…
And, you all have big, charitable hearts!

Ah, Zenny…you look marvelous darling! ;)
How nice that Matt gets to spend so much
time with you. Too Cute!
A shout out to Judy, Karen, Trina, Sarah,
Dawn, Anne and anyone else I might have
missed, for sending me the belated birthday
wishes. Much appreciated and thanks!!! :)
Maybe, Anne, we did pass each other in the
paddock at Hollywood Park. Love that race
track! I hear they have the best garlic
fries and when I went to get some they had
run out. Next time! hee! hee!
Peace, Love & Blessings,
Kathy from SoCal :)

ZENNY ~ TOO CUTE!!! I love the pictures coming in from Lane’s End… lucky, lucky Matt! So beautiful there this time of year! Lush, lush blue grass for our BIG MAMMA. I do believe I see a Baby On Board (blush blush).

HUGS & KISSES, MAMMA! XOXOXOXO

Zenny-You look wonderful. Can you or your family address if there will ever be fan visitation with you?

You are looking terrific Z! I think April 3 will be a very lucky date….my wonderful dog of almost 15 years (who was very understanding all the times I left her to go watch you) passed away in December. I missed her so much I decided to get a new puppy – who just happened to be born on April 3! She is the cutest thing and has made my life so much better. Animals mean a lot to some of us humans, and we certainly do appreciate you and you wonderful team! I too am facing a big change and possibly a second career, but hopefully I will get through the transition as well as you have. We love you Z!

P.S. I wonder, is betting here legal: is your foal a boy or a girl LOL (wink wink) ;-) We need a National Baby Shower for you Queen! XO :-D
