Hello Everyone,
Del Mar sure got off to a wonderful beginning yesterday! I gather it was quite a party atmosphere with approximately 48,000 happy people in attendance. The racing was fabulous and the crowd had a great time. It was perfect weather…in the low 70’s and really pleasant. Good luck to everyone during this entire meet.
While all of those people were enjoying their ‘DEL MAR FUN’, Tasty Temptation and I were out having a PARTY of our own grazing and enjoying the outdoors. You can see I am getting a bit more of a baby bump and my coat is ‘highlighted by the sun’. I do think it is definitely a great look for ME… if I say so myself.
I’d also like to CONGRATULATE my pal, MR. COMMONS, for winning the Oceanside Stakes on Del Mar’s opening day card. At Barn 55, he was stabled about 3 stalls down from ME. We saw each other all of the time and often grazed together in the afternoons. He is one handsome lad and I am so proud of his effort! What a great victory from off the pace! YEAH, MR. C!
I also noticed that MY JOHN had on his LUCKY Z CAP…..which has MY NAME on the back. It looks terrific on him….if I say so myself. The guys on TVG even commented about it. I know he really thinks about ME often and I will ALWAYS BE A HUGE PART OF HIS LIFE. What a bond we have had…very special and very nurturing. He was always so lovingly supportive of ME and ALL OF MY NEEDS! I, in turn, totally loved every moment of being at Barn 55 with MY JOHN and MY TEAM. I always tried to do my VERY BEST with every task I was ever asked to complete!
It’s starting to get a bit warm out here now. When it is like this, they take us back to the barn and let the fans circulate the cool air around us while we are relaxing in our stalls. I’ve even heard they are going to cancel the Woodbine races today because of this extremely hot weather!
Just as I thought….here come the guys now to take us inside!
Just like we are doing….please take extra care of yourselves in this HEAT!

Hi Zen, the photo of you and Tasty is really special so pretty. I got home from work yesterday just in time to see Mr. Commons go to the Post and then win the race so nicely. He looked really great doing it too. Nice outside run with Mikey. And a very nice interview with John by TVG afterwards. What Del Mar fun.

Hi Big Mama Z! I watched your buddy Mr. Commons yesterday on TV as he walked to the gate. He had his head bowed and was on his toes. I thought for a minute he might start doing the Zenyatta dance. Nice win! Yay for your John. Stay cool, sweet girl! XOXO!

Today there are two 2 yr old races. I’m going to look at the more expensive of the two. Race 5. I don’t think a first timer will hit the board or I hope one doesn’t. I like the horses with experience in this one. They are the pair from the accused milkshake man “Drug O’Neil” and Bob’s horse who I also like as a hunch play because of someone I met online and Merv Griffin, LOL,

@All in hot places that aren’t usually so: I feel for all of you. We are “used to it” here in the Arizona desert, but it is downright scarey to hear what all of you are going through. Lots of water and electrolyte drinks; damp or wet kerchiefs around your neck; big floppy hats; dash into air conditioned spaces at least a few minutes each half hour if you have to be outside.

Zenny,it is great to see you looking so well and happpy,and the Baby Bump is sure growing! Your family at Barn 55 is one classy bunch, and it goes without saying so are the Mosses. There are many of us who revived our interest in racing because of you. I am a healthy 90 years old and I just gotta stick around to see the precious new baby.

Hi pretty girl!! You look absolutely fantabulous!!! I just got back from The Chessecake Factory formy 60th birthday lunch w/friends. They said “Since we couldn’t get you what you really wanted.. that being a visit with Zenyatta.. We got you a trip to visit various horse farms in Ocala, Fl not far from where we live.. They remembered me saying something about that you spent sometime there in Ocala.. so since they couldn’t get me a visit with you.. they thought this was the next best.. They had been trying to find out where you had been in Ocala (without asking me) so they could arrange a visit there.. Which now that they know where they are going to try to arrange… Hopefully it is not as hot there as it is here.. I think we are going to wait til its a little cooler before we take the day trips to the farms.. Hopefully we will get to go to Mayberry Farms to see where you thrived as a little girl…and maybe meet the Mayberry girls.. Would be wonderful since I can’t see you.. Now if I win the lottery this week.. maybe then I can see you.. LOL Have a good one!!!
