Good Morning to All~

Happy Tuesday! Everything is moving right along perfectly at the farm. I am able to go outside with my pal, Tasty Temptation, and relax for hours at a time. As you can see in the photo, I am just like so many of you. My coat gets ‘lovely high-lights’ from the sun and I do need to have my ‘sunglasses’ (aka fly mask) on when outdoors.

I must say, this mask is a fabulous accessory to have. Not only does it keep the flies off of my face and away from my eyes…but it also screens out some of the sun and direct light…which is quite helpful!

We have had really warm weather recently. I’ve heard that it is also quite warm back home in Arcadia (by Santa Anita). Dottie looked up the temperature for today and it is to be 93 degrees in Lexington. It is even a bit warmer than that in Arcadia. As I have mentioned before, Charles and the guys here monitor how hot it is for ME. If too warm, I am taken back to the barn where the fans are keeping it nice and cool. I must say, I am one very lucky girl!

It is also the first of the month and as MY TEAM requested, they weighed me. I am gaining just the right amount of weight for this stage of my pregnancy. YIPPEE! I am eating all of the right foods and drinking LOTS of water to stay properly hydrated….so this is all good! I’m really trying to do all the RIGHT THINGS here to be a GREAT MOM!

In racing, for many of the major race tracks, today is a ‘dark day’…meaning the tracks are closed. So for quite a few people who work with the horses, this is a more relaxed day and they have some time off. Whether going to the lake, to play golf, or to have fun in the ocean, I hope everyone remembers to be careful in the sun, drink lots of water, and wear your ‘sunglasses’….JUST LIKE ME!

    I am glad you are doing so well in your pregnancy…and I am glad they look out for you in this terrible heat. It has been terrible here in Virginia. I think by Thursday it is supposed to be 88…amazing when you think 88 is so much cooler…but it is when it has been 99 many days. Stay cool Z…. hugs to you!!!     It looks like the post yesterday about the 52 thoroughbred horses going to Sugarcreek was old – I saw a post from 2/3/2011 that all the horses were moved from and farm and safe – some adopted and some went to rescues for adoption. Hope it’s true so I can sleep tonight. Any updates please advise – thanks.

    You are a Grazing Queen, Z!

    You look beautiful with all those new highlights and your too cool shades on. I enjoy all the photos you post, but those of you are THE best. It’s wonderful to see you looking so healthy and relaxed.

    @Patti Spencer, I am green with envy! Mike is my favorite jockey. Your post just confirms again that he is not only a great rider, but also a great guy off the track, one who really enjoys meeting his fans (and gives generously to so many good causes).

    Can’t wait to go to Saratoga later this month!

    @Sharon Call- thank you for the link and you have me crying again….We should all by stock in Kleenex…My Mother got me his 2-disc collection for Christmas right after we lost him, but nothing compares to a live performance….thank you, and yes I can just see Zenny at high-c. You are brilliant! I don’t know how to get video or I would try to do it…

    You look so beautiful and COOL in your sunglasses. :) I can’t believe how lush and green the grass is—you must feel like you’re in paradise.
    So glad to hear your weight is right on–that’s so important for a healthy baby–in your case foal. :)
    Tell Charles that a cool bath in this heat would feel lovely–maybe he’l get the hint.

    @signofthetimes, @judy berube, @Sharon Call – from your posts on 309: You’re welcome! Lisa’s Booby Trap reminds me a lot like Zenyatta. Fate brought her to her owner/trainer. She’s a big horse, over 17 hands tall, she has lots of heart and she’s an inspiration to others. I want nothing but the best for her as I do for our Zenny. Zenny – try to keep cool, I’m so glad that your pregnancy is coming along nicely.

    Yesterday someone named “William” posted a very old message about 52 horses needing homes immediately.
    This message has been going around facebook since last fall and has been resolved.
    All those horses found homes so there is no need to call the ph. # in that post.
    I was trying to rally people and I’m sorry if I misled anyone.
