Dear Friends,
I hope all of you are well. It is so hard to believe that it is almost October! This year is flying by so quickly.
I must say I am enjoying every moment and having a great time each day at Lane’s End! As I’ve mentioned to you in prior Diary entries, with all of this ‘free time’ in my schedule, I am really investigating several 2nd career options. Currently, I’m diligently working on some very exciting plans and will be sharing them with you very soon.
From the actions I took in these photos, one option I somewhat considered was becoming a HAIR STYLIST. As you can see, while Ann was so affectionately scratching one of my favorite spots…I decided I would redo her hair. Let’s put it this way, she was a GREAT SPORT!
I also tried it with April when she came to visit. I think both of these lovely women did not want to hurt my feelings… but would agree with ME very sweetly…that this is not a 2nd career option for ME! Sometimes you simply have to try different things just to know for yourself that it is NOT for you!
Thank goodness there are other fabulously talented people who do such a great job working in this profession!
Tasty and I share these thoughts all of the time! It really is fun to consider all of the great possibilities!
Enjoy your day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Zenyatta – you can do my hair any time, or in the alternative, perhaps you could advise me on the best way to style it.

Typo: *Have a glorious Tuesday!

Yes, Barbara, I also think she’s be a fabulous dressage horse! And what an extraordinary career this would be for a retired racehorse, she’d again have all eyes on her! I think there’s nothing better she could do with that amazing personality!
Zenny, please think about it! ;-)
Jeanie
Barbara and Luna,
I’ve always thought she had natural dressage moves and her size would make her perfect. But, let’s face it, she is so popular she could have her own TV show if she wanted to! LOL.

What a great week you must have had, seeing all your friends and family. You are loved by so many. It is just so heart warming how much everyone loves you.
Great pics. I think you could be anything you put your mind to Even a hair dresser!
Love, hugs and kisses

Zenyatta, you are so funny. I am so glad that you have so many friends and have time to “chat” with them and “style” their hair. Hmmm-mm cannot wait to hear what other career options are open to you. A tester for Guinness would have been nice, but sorry Zen you are a broodmare and must not have alcohol. I do want you to look at a website for me. This should be very inspirational for you. http://www.rogergrein.com This fellow recently went to Lexington to see the beautiful thoroughbreds. Some day I hope that he can see you.
Linda
You are and should be the poster girl for kindness! Your wonderful caring disposition is a lesson that we all can learn from – be nice to everyone and treat everyone with respect and love.

@Kari Bussell: your name is synonymous with magic and miracles. We are full of joy that you are still here, also. Prayers, prayers, prayers. You are a rainbow in our lives. Sto lat! 12th.

Queen Z, you are so funny redoing Ann’s hair style. You are so special. You’re very caring and loving. Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures.

Hi Zenyatta I love the pictures. Kiss Kiss to you . Hugs and Kisses, Shari XXXOOO
@ Kari I pray for you everyday. I just read the other post. I will pray really hard this new treatment works. God Bless you always. Love, Shari

In keeping with the hairdresser theme, you might be a redneck if your hairdo has ever been ruined by a ceiling fan.

Z I think you should just enjoy this break. Soon your baby will be here. And that will be more than a full Tim job. And then if they do breed you back for a 2013 you’ll just be flat busy.
I think the job your doing right now–teaching people about horses and racing is the right job for you. Besides this diary is a great way to remain close to you. It’s theraputic to come here.
You just keep being the great friend you are to all.
That’s just my own opinion.

On second thought–maybe you could have a small part time “job” in the art of livery training. Instead of humans training you–you train humans!

Morning Z! You make me laugh; playing with Ann’s hair. Dozey does that to me sometimes, especially when she is looking for treats (in my hair-no way!!! LOL). I can’t wait to hear about your possibilities for a second career. How about an artist and then you could sell your original works for charity? Have a great day Z! xxoo

As I look closer to your mane, Zenny, I hoticed you have hi-lights!! You look marvelous!!! XO

Oh Big Zen, those pics are too cute. Ann is just a little doll and I love what you did with her hair. Maybe we could send pics of ourselves and you could suggest new styles…..that would keep your mind busy and active for months. Your and Ann’s beauty shines thru on any pics you take together.
@ I’ve been gone so I want to add my congrats to To Honor and Serve, what a fabulous race, and to daddy Bernie for producing him, and to A P INDY for producing Bernie!! I’m going to see the grand old man when I go to Kentucky in OCT or Nov. loaded with carrots, peppermints, and apples. We’ll waive at you across the pasture Z, don’t worry I’ll send more details when finalized so you’ll know to watch for us.
Luv and Kisses on your soft nose.
Jamie
Really TOO CUTE!! I have always thought that you would also make a great dressage horse and dancing queen. Love and hugs to Zenny and her people.
