Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Throughout the visits with MY TEAM during the last few weeks, I enjoyed several opportunities to have very, very intimate conversations with MY PAL, Dottie! As you know, she and I speak quite often and constantly work together on several projects. At this particular moment, we are reviewing some exciting plans of things WE anticipate doing in the future. I hope all of these ideas materialize…as they will be SO MUCH FUN!
I must say….I loved the comments many of you made yesterday in the Diary Responses as to what my NEW CAREER choices could be! Several of you are right on target! YOU know ME very well! YOU GET ME! YOU truly know what would be the best way for ME, at this point in my life, to successfully apply my skills and talent towards MY 2nd CAREER! I loved reading ALL of your comments and thoughts on this topic!
Here are some of the options YOU, my dear friends, suggested:
Artist, Spokesmare, Dancing Queen, Entertain Visitors, Model, Actor, Ambassadress for our Sport, being a MOM, tester for Guinness, teacher to both horses and human, inspirational speaker, and philanthropist!
You are ALL TOO CUTE….for thinking about ME in such a fabulous light!
Hooves Crossed!
We will know more tomorrow. I promise!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Especially my 91,115 Facebook Friends….WOW!)

Good morning, beautiful girl… whatever you do for your “second career” you will do very well at it. Actually it should be called your third career, after being the great racehorse and them becoming a mom.

yeeks, that should have read “THEN becoming a mom” … my typing fingers must still be asleep.

Ya know Zenny, I am looking at a calendar of you that I bought on Ebay last fall. The last picture is not that far away :(. I am pretty sure that if you were to hook up with one or more of the many charities that you are involved with and make a Zenny at the farm calendar with some of the many pictures of you from the summer and fall for 2012 that many many dollars could be raised. I am certain that I would buy one!
Just an idea….
Love you Zenny!!

Oh good, my day can officially begin…I’ve had my all-important Zenyatta Fix. It sure would be great to see some new Zenyatta videos from Lane’s End…

What an absolutely beautiful photo of you and Dottie! Enjoy these fall days.
The Kennedys in San Diego
Add AUTHOR to that list. We feel certain that The Queen will pen an autobiography to add to her resume.
Of course, the book will be followed by a stint as an ACTRESS — who other than Zenyatta could play the part in film.
Angie
Hey Momma Z,
I think you will be very busy taking care of your new baby for several months and you will have plenty of time to determine what it is you want to do with your next career. I have a strong feeling you will be a fantastic producer of excellent foals.
Marty
Wow. I can’t to read what it is. You’ll be wonderful at whatever you do. I love you!!!
Cheryl Smith
Love the picture! I agree, whatever your second career choice would be, you would be awesome! I still wish you could tour the country as an ambassador to racing. We are trying to get racing here in Georgia.
How are You feeling? have you felt the baby move? Are you getting excited? We all love you and wish you the best!

You are so loved. As to your second profession your contributions in all areas are well worth what ever comes your way. Hugs and lots of peppermint kisses miss Z.

What a lovely picture. Are you giving Dottie a big kiss? Queen Z, you are too adorable. I can hardly wait to find out what is your new career. I love you.
Jamie
In the photo you can tell that you and Dottie are having an intimate conversation, WAY CUTE!
Joanna from TX
Z! You’re looking SO good and healthy; must be taking your prenatal vitamins like a good girl.
I was reading an old article in Bloodhorse about how Lane’s End handled your transition period from racing to broodmare and I was delighted to find how much care and effort they took to ensure your safety and success. If I had a mare that was going to be boarded for the duration, I can’t possibly think of a better place. Talk about a total class act and wonderful staff.
Enjoy the fall season, Z.
Kirren
Good Morning beautiful Z! You are one lucky girl to have not only so many career options available to you, but so many caring friends and family! I can’t wait to hear what news tomorrow might bring… ;)
Love and miss you, Z!

This is my first time to post to this website,I’ve always loved animals but, when you came into my life I have never experienced feeling like I have for you.
I know I probably will never get to meet you but, I can dream about what it would be like!I cry when I see pictures of you and I know some of you think that’s crazy,I can not seem to help myself. I think you are the most beautiful creature I have ever seen, I really think their is an angel in you, a gift from God. I love you Zenyatta!

You look like you’re getting a kiss on the nose during that intimate conversation Zenyatta! Dottie loves you so much, that’s for sure. You will be a great success at whatever new career you embark on and we will all be there to support you every step of the way!
Cindy Trejo
Zenny! I personally think you are the only race horse on the planet who could have a beautiful baby and then come out of retirement and kick some horse booty on the track once again! Well…you and maybe Golden Doc A…
Wouldn’t THAT be somethin’!
Dawn Conrad
Dear Zenyatta. It was wonderful to see the picture of you fixing Ann’s beautiful hair yesterday. Her smile was glowing. It warms my heart each time I see her with you. The depth of feeling is evident, the bond amazing. You know all of us who admire thoroughbreds have probably had that dream, whether in our youth or just yesterday, where we picture ourselves with that one magnificent horse that is legend. We hold the lead rope and hug the neck of the horse we love, that has just won the Kentucky Derby or the Breeder’s Cup or Horse of the Year. We picture our own Secretariat or definitely, our own Zenyatta. When I look at you and Ann together, the dream is no longer in my mind, but right there in front of me. Ann is living it for us all and it is beautiful to witness. Zenny, I am looking forward to hearing what the career secret is that you hinted about. What a special picture of you and our wonderful Dottie in conference. The two of you are a remarkable pair. You have done so much, what could it be? You are kind, intelligent, beautiful, motivated, positive, inspirational, generous, fun and just so darn CUTE!! Whatever your new career is, we know you will be fantastic doing it. With the great TEAM Z to help you, success is a sure bet. Love to you and your precious little one. Enjoy the beautiful fall days! Sweet dreams. Hugs and kisses. XXXOOO
@Kari Bussell – My dear, wonderful, Kari!!! How fantastic to hear your outstanding news about the treatment. You are living in God’s time and there is a lovely chime sounding. Each day dawns anew with hope and miracles. Your spirit is uplifting to us all. I will continue praying and sending you my heartfelt love.
@ Suzanne Pashayan – I was very happy to see your post. Thank you very much for so graciously sharing another wonderful Brown Bess story with us. 55 years in the business is amazing. I admire the influence you have had on the sport. I will be looking forward to enjoying many more of your up-coming posts!!!!
@Sarah Campion – Thank you again Sarah for all of your beautiful pictures. They bring our Zenny close to us. I hope you are getting to relax a little after the hectic few weeks of the sale and that you and David were very successful in your endeavors. As well as work, I would wish you also had a great deal of fun.
@Lynn Martin, Patricia and Johanne from TX – Great to hear about your experiences with your dogs and the successes you have had. I enjoy watching as many of the dog shows that are broadcast as I can, especially Westminister. Seeing all of the different breeds is amazing and it is so much fun to try to pick those “best in show” winners. Lynn, congratulations on the success you and your little Brooke had at the recent show in Denver. Your words lovingly expressed the pride you had in her accomplishments. Zenyatta is a wonderful lucky charm!
@signofthetimes – You’re welcome! I am wishing you the best of luck showing your viszla. It sounds like he has a great personality. Hopefully the changes in handler and some time off will prove successful.
@”Charlie” from Delran NJ – I loved your post about Cecil and Wellington. Your description of their special relationship reminds me of my own two fur babies, Bindi (dog) and Sassy (cat). They are together constantly, usually vying for space on my lap. It is so wonderful that you and Cecil give of yourselves to others, bringing joy and companionship into their lives.
@Barbara Wood and Sherry D. of WV – How wonderful that you both had such amazing equine friends in your lives. Horses can seem to sense that which is deepest within us, their eyes allow us to look into our own hearts and they have a great shoulder to cry on if need be.
@ Kathy Kimber – I am so glad to hear that the great Skip Away will be joining our beloved Noor. I join you in thanking Michael and his team for their efforts. How is our Charlotte? I think about her often and wish her the very best of life.
@Linda E (Ohio) – Thank you for letting me know about the footage of Snowman, I will be sure to check it out.
@Terry Crow – So glad you enjoyed time with your daughter. It sounds like you were a wonderful daddy. I have never been married or had children, but I imagine being a parent has to be one the best and at the same time hardest jobs in the world! My father always made me feel he was very proud of me. I have written before that having him die in my arms was devastating. It has made the wonderful time I spend with my mother an even greater gift. I will cherish the memories we have made traveling together forever.
@Ann Maree – Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience at the 1980 Kentucky Derby. The pictures were great, especially the one of Genuine Risk crossing the finish line. I have never been lucky enough to attend a Derby, although I have been to Churchill several times. I did get to see Rachael Alexandra run and win there. We share seeing a couple of magnificent fillies. I have to say, the feeling I get when I walk through those gates and see the twin spires is like nothing else in the world. 91,00 and counting!
@ Shari – Got your lovely phone message, you are most welcome my friend!! Enjoy! I also watched the video from Mistletoe you sent, the tears were falling! Hugs!!!!
@Peggy (N) – We must have been sister’s separated at birth, we think so much alike. I agree, I hope that Overbrook Farm ends up changing their policy. I know the welfare of the horse is most important, but when you see the success Old Friends or the Kentucky Horse Park has with its stallions, it makes me think how wonderful it would be for the amazing Storm Cat to be admired and receive the love from his fans in person. What a gift that would be.
@ Linda M – Great “How to Pick a Winner” by David Ingordo. Thank you for sharing.
@Sue Frederick – Hope you have a fantastic time in Kentucky, especially with A.P.
@Terri Zietz – No problem at all, Terri. I love my job, but it would be wonderful to work at a farm like Three Chimneys, don’t you agree? Spending time in such gorgeous surroundings with such amazing horses, ahh the life! Hard work, but very rewarding. Did you ever get to see Big Brown or Seattle Slew in person?
