Good Morning,
Yesterday’s post…thank you for all of your loving comments!
A few days ago, I had some very special visitors. The man on the left is Don Robinson. I was foaled and raised at his farm, Winter Quarter, in Lexington, Kentucky…not too far from where I live now. He has come to visit ME several times during my racing career and since I’ve returned to Kentucky. I know him very well!
The gentleman on the right, scratching one of my favorite spots, is my breeder, Eric
Kronfeld. Wow! It was so great to see both of them. Eric followed MY racing career very closely and constantly stayed in touch with what was going on in MY LIFE with MY TEAM.
Both of these gentlemen touched my life in a very special way. In reality, if it wasn’t for my breeder planning the mating that he did for my MOM, Vertigineaux, to Street Cry, I wouldn’t be here.
Then when I was foaled, Don, was right there. He made sure that everything went well for ME while I was growing up as a young foal and yearling.
It is interesting to note that MY breeder is also the gentleman who bred and owns my baby sister, EBLOUISSANTE. Don foaled and raised her as well! So HOOVES CROSSED for all of these members of ‘MY FAMILY’ as ‘E’ embarks on her racing career at BARN 55.
LIFE IS SO INTERESTING! When one reflects upon certain things that happen in his/her life, the timing of certain decisions being made seems to play such an instrumental role in what happens in life….probably much more than one can say.
It was really so great to see ERIC and DON again! These are truly 2 very important people in MY LIFE! I can’t THANK THEM enough for the very early decisions they made…which had such an impact on ME becoming ME!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z

For those of you who wish to catch up on the past news of Eblouissante from several months ago,just Google her name as I did when I first learned of her a year ago. The articles others have shared here today are actually not too recent although is what stimulated my ongoing interest in her training. I encourage others to get updated on the series of events that led her to being placed in her half-sisters sacred famous barn with JS. The articles nicely shared on Z’s site are just a small sampling. I am so pleased people are now giving her more attention. I visit her Facebook each day too.

@Sally B, Thank You for the info. I got in touch with Diana and she is going to get me a tag.
Love Ya Zenyatta and have a nice evening.

Good Evening, dear Z! Great photo with the two men who were instrumental in the “Gift of Zenyatta” to us mortals! Goodnight and sweet horsey dreams! Love you!
@Melinda Kaczur: Sorry about your health and job crises, but am glad to hear you are doing well and will be at Zenyatta’s Party! All the Best and enjoy the festivities! Hugs!

Did not see anything on google about why
“E” was put in Zenny’s stall, every thing is old.
Even video of her are old, from early this year.
Peggy (N)
@my Sis Dawn C. also if your anywhere traveling next year near Ocala Florida March l3, l4 come to the Ocala Breeders Sales. Wear your Dumpling Tag. Sally B. says she hopes to be there and Me too.
Blessings, Peggy

Sign of the Times: I was also thinking of Cape Blanco for Zenyatta. Actually, I was wondering if they could reserve a special breeding session when Frankel comes over here next year for the Breeders Cup.
I realize that this is never done, however, this might only happen for the Queen. And horses don’t usually breed at that time. But second best would be Cape Blanco. At least both stallions are sired by Galileo.
Marshall (old girl in NC)
@Kathy Kimber: Hope you are feeling better! Take care!
@Charlotte Farmer: We have missed you! Great to hear from you again. Hugs!
@Barbara Wood: Hope you are getting some rain at last! Best wishes!
@Karen Gogue: YAY! You are posting again!
@Alex: Hang in there! You have all of us and Zenyatta in your corner! A giant Z-hug to you and an endless supply of well-wishes, too!

I was quite specific by saying the references I made to info others shared today as well as mine were older articles. Indeed, recent info is sparse to say the least perhaps to keep expections in check. We all are just enjoying sharing with others here who may not know a lot about E yet to learn more with as you so overtly pointed out the limited resources. Thanks for your support.

Glad to see you had some more of your family visit you! They were the foundation to your wonderful career! We will be there cheering on your little sister Eblouissante when she’s ready!

Have a wonderful day Zenyatta and baby “Z”!

Good Morning Zenyatta!
Did I read correctly Zazu has been pulled due to some shoulder inflammation? If so, we wish her well!
XOXO

Sign of the Times and Z fans: Another wonderful stallion for Team Z to consider is Lonhro, the Australian champion who will be standing At Darley, America.
He is no relation to her sire, Street Cry, but he is powerfully built like Street Cry. And he is a powerhouse.
I love the Cape Blanco suggestion as well. What was amazing is that he won his last race with a slab fracture–unbelievable. Irish and South African thoroughbreds are supposed to be the strongest and toughest horses.

Hey Zenny!
I’d loved to be standing right about where Eric is in that photo and get a big nuzzle from you. Would probably never wash my face again. You are so beautiful.
@ Susan- Tennessee: On my request for our 48th Anniversary gift of Zenyatta in my backyard- (oh, I am such a crazy woman). My husband said: Oh, and you want her to be stuck eating 5 acres of crab grass?
@Karen Gogue: Hi there girl! So glad you are back and posting such beautiful messages.
@ Everyone: Question: Where are all of us Zsters from? Anyone counting states and countries?
@Zenyatta.com: This place is like home. So much good news, so many friends!

@Marshall (old girl in NC)– thank you- we did have some rain a couple of weeks ago, and our lawn looks much better, but another fire broke out near us yesterday. We seem to be back into high winds and no rain. Cooler temperatures, though. Thanks so much for caring. We Texasns appreciate ite it.
@Question fo all Dumplings: Do any of you happen to be going to the Bluebonnet Expo in Austin on Saturday? If so, I would love to meet you. Don’t want to wear my Dumpling tag if no one else will be there.
Melissa-Gainesville, FL
Thank you Don and Eric. I love you Zenny. May you always be blessed.xoxo

@Terri Z
Oh yes, Lonhro is one handsome guy. Those short muscled legs look funny to me (Aussie look), guess used to the US look of long slender legs. Do you think he is too big size for Z, he is only 16 or 16.1, but bigger than Curlin.

@Terri Z
Yes, I was wondering if something could be arraged with Frankel as well. Not sure if he does not need training for breeding, though.

@Barbara Wood
Please keep me posted with Tx (Austin) events.
Not able to travel right now, but something later in Nov would work.
Barbara Wood (Texas)
@signofthetimes– don’t know of anything in Nov., but I’ll let you know if I hear. I’m in Waco. Where are you?
signofthetimes
@Judy B
Oh yes, those hind quarters are quite
large, as Steve Willard would joke, “she has a big a__”. Were you able to see Z
in person at a race?

Hooves up for Don and Eric since they were so instrumental and important in your very beginning and early life Zenyatta. And then of course, there are so many others after that who deserve accolades and attention for their part in bringing you into who you are. But lets definitely give a high hooves up for all of them and a very special acknowledgment to Johh Shirreffs and Carlos back at Barn 55. I believe those two fantastic and wonderful fellows have done an exceptional job in taking care of you and making you who you are today. But we also have to remember this too, You are a gift from God for all of us to enjoy and enjoy you, we do indeed! Love you Zenyatta and always will. My Love & Blessings to you and to all your family and connections.

Hugs and Kisses Z. I think you might be the most loved horse in the world and you sure do deserve it!
Allie
Good Morning, Zenyatta. I know that they call Secretariat “The Horse That God Built”. To me, you are “The Horse That God Dreamed”. You are pure goodness and delight. Stay sweet, stay wonderful and most importantly, stay healthy. Love ya.
Molly
Yes, Mario did an exceptionally great job of always making Zenyatta the best looking horse on the track. I think one of the reasons that Zenyatta is a standout is that she was always treated with gentleness. Thank you to all of Zenyatta’s Team.
