Good Morning,
During the past few weeks, we have had so many fabulous days in Lexington. It was particularly gorgeous weather post Breeders’ Cup. The days were “picture perfect” when MY JOHN and DOTTIE were here visiting and attending the Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland Sales. I know they totally enjoyed each moment while in town.
At the farm, I did want to show them I am also getting my proper exercise each day. Tasty and I have so much FUN and do enjoy our time ‘stretching our legs’ out in the paddock. Obviously, I am not zipping along at 40 miles per hour…as I did when I’d be finishing my races…but I am still moving about at a pretty strong clip.
Whenever I’m really enjoying myself…feeling so free and so completely happy…my tail goes up and OFF I GO.
In addition to her other special qualities, Tasty is a wonderful exercise partner! She is an accomplished race horse having won some very nice stakes races. We ‘play’ quite well together!
I’d like to thank so many of you for adding photos to my FACEBOOK PHOTO section. The party photos are quite special. It was great to see ME there! Lou Naylor from Texas gave a HIGH HOOF to MY PARTY. Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed your time there and the FOOD! I heard it was quite good!
To see some of these photos, please click the FACEBOOK icon on the right hand corner of my Home Page. It will take you to my FB page. Then on the left, click PHOTOS. The ones you have submitted will come up. I particularly like seeing ALL of YOU having a great time! Enjoy!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

BloodHorse posted this on facebook: “Cool video clip of a rare white thoroughbred winning at Kyoto. Hat tip to Barbara Livingston for the link and some background: The horse is white, her full sister is white and a G2 winner and their dam is white. It doesn’t make them any faster ,but sure more interesting. ” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfCFCymZUf4

We must share our observations of Well Armed’s behavior before a race. Like many athletes, he had a ritual before a race which we personally observed on several occasions and confirmed with his jockey, Aaron Gryder that it was his usual pre-race behavior. From the time he entered the saddling paddock, he would take deep breaths expanding his chest looking even larger than his already substantial height and girth. While doing this, he would emit loud exhales rather like Hrrrrh while looking other horses in the eye. Gryder observed that it was his means of intimidating his competitors. His version of Zenyatta’s pre-race war dance.

A very nice pic for sure of you Zenyatta and Tasty. You definitely are happy as your tail us up and off you go-makes me smile and feel your joy. It is just great knowing that you are enjoying your life now off the racetrack and having the freedom of being able to run, roam, and just hang out as you do daily with your friend, Tasty. You are one lucky mare, Zenyatta! I love you so much and you mean alot to me. Keep on a shining and sparkling-you are brighter than any star up above!

@Mary Copelin — Thank you for the color genetics link — fascinating. Particularly loved the photos of Unbridled’s Song showing the color change as he aged. We will never forget visiting him at TaylorMade last November — this big, imposing white stallion standing on a hill in his paddock which overlooked that of 3 year old Eskendereya preparing to begin his stallion career in the coming months. Needless to say, Eskendereya looked rather intimidated by this seasoned, successful stallion.

Look at you two – just having fun running and playing in your paddock. Love this photo and all the posts. What a back story to Well-Armed – Thanks for sharing . He is loving life in Texas going all “cowboy”. So good to hear happy endings after racing their hearts out.

Dear Zenyatta You and Tasty look like you are really enjoying the weather and having fun. Two Beautiful Girls. Zenyatta I just got off the phone with Rosemary from CA. She is buying the Jaime Corum print for my class and me. When I received Trina’s email about this I cried. I am so blown away by the generosity of my Z family. Zenyatta you have brought such happiness to my life I can not even put it into words. I am so blessed by YOU and the people who follow you. All I can say is Thank You. I love you and always will. I am sending you many Kisses and Hugs, Shari XXXOOO
@ Rosemary thank you from the bottom of my Heart :)
@ Trina thank you for emailing me. Your the Best :)

Beauty in motion, that is what you are! You & Tasty are having fun. I’d like to be a bird up in a tree nearby watching.
When we all first learned about you in foal many began coming up with names for your baby z. I remember one in particular but can not remember who suggested it; the name “MamaCanDance”. This could be great for colt or filly and tell the whole world it is your baby Z. But since I do feel a ” Z ” should at least always appear in your foals name perhaps it could be “MamaCanDanze”. That is my favorite so far. Stay happy and active sweet Z. Love N 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z

Good evening Zenyatta,
we all know your high tail mood so well. Oh, that’s when you’re ready to fly. :) :)
Again, really great picture of you & Tasty.
Always such a picker-upper.
Have a restful night and dream sweet

@Karen Gogue, Thanks for the video link on post 376 of BC and party etc. My girlfriend seems to always get in a picture where ever she is! ha ha I had already made my purchases, thank goodness.
Last year at ther BC, we both appeared on local TV being interviewed. During BC, (Sue had requested that she would like to make our Z sign), we appeared on National TV while in the paddock!! How fun this was; we could laugh at ourselves. ha ha

Just love that tail flying, Zenny and as JAG said, you have the cutest and best butt.
@Susan in TN–William and Lacy are still a “thing”. They both will come in from their paddock, to their stalls, when my daughter and I call them. Of course, they know we probably have some treats :)
I need everyone’s prayers for a new rescue at Equestrian Inc. A filly/mare, not sure of her age or background, was brought to the rescue by 2 gentleman today. They supposedly had her about a month and had been trying to put weight on her. They failed dismally and she is emaciated and has sores scattered all over. One looks to be an abcessed saddle sore on her withers, another a chest plate sore (?) on her chest and a slightly raw spot above her muzzle. The general concensus of the rescue owner and the vet’s wife is that some of her injuries look to be made by unsuccessful breeding attempts. Thank goodness!!! Hopefully soon, a picture will be available on equestrianinc.org of this beautiful chestnut girl. Oh and she has a tattoo which is being checked out to see what info can be found on her. She is being called Faith but should be called Valiant Fighter, due to still being able to stand in the condition that she is in.
Zenny, please keep shining that star of yours on this poor girl. She has come to a good place now and hopefully will be running with her flagging tail soon.
Have a great Hump Day night with Tasty. Thank you Team Z for letting us have this great gift.
Lotsa love to all.
Paula Higins
Another beautiful picture of The Queen! I received my print of The Queen, with signatures, today. It is just gorgeous. Off to the framers this weekend! I am sure the poster is gorgeous too. If you can, it’s well worth buying. You will not be disappointed.
