Dear Friends,
Today marks the end of another year! In my lifetime, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have several very wonderful years filled with the love, kindness and thoughtfulness of so many people.
December 31st can also be a day of great reflection. Often people review the year mentally …and the different paths that took place in their lives. For ME, this was definitely a year of CHANGE. My life and career went from one amazing stage to another…from being the very accomplished professional athlete that I was…to now becoming a broodmare. Hopefully, though, throughout all of these life changes for ME one thing has remained constant….that I have continued to be a TRUE FRIEND to ALL OF YOU….the wonderful people who have shared so many of these experiences with ME!
Additionally, 2011 will always mean a great deal to ME personally for another reason… thanks to ALL OF YOU, MY DEAR OWNERS, and MY DEVOTED FRIENDS AT BARN 55….I became the 2010 HORSE OF THE YEAR last January! I will always celebrate this moment and cherish it! In all sincerity, it did mean the world to ME to be recognized for ALL of my racing accomplishments with this honor. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your part in helping to make it possible!
I know many people are celebrating tonight and making their 2012 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS! Mine are quite simple yet specific….I want to eat right, stay healthy, and become a terrific MOM! I also want to be a loving friend to ALL of YOU and a great role model and inspiration for MY SPORT! It is so special to be able to ‘give something back’. Each of these goals encompasses a very high level of importance to ME!
TASTY and I, TEAM ZENYATTA, BARN 55, and our LANE’S END pals, ALL want to wish EVERY ONE of you a GREAT 2012….blessed with lots of love, great health, happiness, and the joy of realizing your dreams and cherished special moments.
With Love,
Hugs to All~(HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!)

Oh, this is TOO CUTE! We also wanted to start the NEW YEAR with a HIGH HOOF to celebrate our BRAND NEW WEBSITE DESIGN. My dear ‘tech’ friends, TYLER and KYLE, are working on the final details of it at this moment! The site will be down for maintenance for some time on Sunday. Depending on your timezone, the new site will be online Sunday night or Monday morning. I must say, I think it is going to be ONE FUN and VERY EXCITING NEW YEAR!
CHEERS EVERYONE!
Linda

Dear Zenny,
Already 2 days into the New Year and closer to Baby Z/B hitting the ground, running.
Hope you are having a enjoyable relaxing day in the paddock with TT, healthy food and snacks and exercise. Great racing at SA this weekend. Some really great filly’s coming
along. None like you Zenny. Watched your first three races; it was so funny, the first one the announcer commented on how slow you were out of the gate and maybe you needed more practice; that was before the sintilating winning finish. HA HA !!!
Have a great day, new year and fun with all of your friends and connections.

I love the pedigree tree; there is your photo with your dam and sire; that is so missing on equine pedigree; you actually look like a family and you and your dam have a great
family pose with ears to match. XXXOOOO
Mary Copelin
Wow! What a change! It is certainly bright and classy – just like Dottie and Z.
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Dear Z– I can see that your helpers have put a lot into this new site. It is much more accessible to look for older posts without having to go back into Facebook. There is much to like, such as videos, photos, etc.
I have 2 main concerns. This is much harder for me to read, and the links don’t jump out like they did before. I have to see one and put the cursor over it before it shows up very well.
Also, I’m concerned that if we can only reply directly to one person, we will lose our sense of community. What I enjoy most is the feeling of laughing together, supporting each other together, etc. I have very little to contribute in the way of horse knowledge.
Love you always, though.
Margaret
Hay Barbara it might help if you can describe what you see when you do find a link. Like is it gray or in shadows. What do you see. They can fine tune things but give them something to work with.
I’m not being crabby here. What you see or don’t–it’s very hard to fine tune something without input. Be as descriptive as you can–it’ll help.
Margaret
Okay I checked with both my iPad and the computer. This is what “my” eye sees. Tell me if this is about what you see.
The background is a soft gray. But people’s names show up a slightly different hue of gray–maybe a bit darker??? Text is showing black. And for links that you said you were having trouble seeing??? They are in the Moss’es Teal Colors! That should help a little.
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Yes, that’s what I’m seeing, but it seems that nothing really stands out like it did before. I’m just finding it difficult to find anything if I want to go back and look because everything is so close to the same color.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
I’m having some trouble reading this too, Barbara. The soft gray background is a bit too close to white for my eyes so the whole screen now sort of glares at me. Maybe, to keep in tune with the Mosses colors, they could make it a soft pink!
Sue Colvin -NJ
ditto. i’m having the same prob as you.
i like the darker background better=not as bright
altho i do like that its esaier to reply to ppl & easy to navigate the site.
i’ll hafta check it all out later
Deborah Richman from So. Cal.
Happy New Year everyone! And Happy Birthday to all thoroughbreds!
Z, I LOVE the new website!! High hooves to the designers! I especially like the archives and the ability to reply directly to a poster.
I hope you and Tasty are having a lovely day relaxing in your paddock today. Here in California, we are having warm, beautiful weather. Perfect for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl.
Carol Couvillon, Ca
Let us not forget about Hickstead, may he rest in peace also.

Zenyatta,
Love the new and improved website. Thanks for the kind words and wishes. Back at ya Big Mama. This year will be another thrilling and exciting one. Can’t wait till Tasty,
RA, and of course your foals are born. The anticipation of Ms. E’s debut, and all the other racing events coming up in 2012. I received a autographed photo of you by
Jaime Corum for my BD. looks gorgeous on my den wall. ;) A fellow dumpling and
me visited Lane’s End Texas this past weekend. We saw five stallions, PG broodmares, female and male yearlings. What a beautiful farm and friendly staff. Stay healthy and warm and cozy mommy to be…….

WOW! Happy “generic” birthday Zenyatta!
I just LOVE the new website. It’s so light & airy and easy to navigate. And I LOVE all of the new photos in your gallery, Zenny, including some TERRIFIC shots by Ann Moss. We should ask you, Zenny, via Dottie, if Ann would agree to printing some Zenyatta images for Zenyatta cards, to sell in your store!!!!!
HIGH HOOF to Dottie, Tyler & Kyle — and Team Z — for a SUPER DESIGN with GREAT “Zenyatta Spaces” …..with lots of room to grow when Zenny’s “first edition” joins us!
LOVE TO ALL
Abigail from Montreal
WHOOPS! Almost forget to share this EXCITING news!
According to wordpress.com, home of THE VAULT, there were 21,000 visitors to THE VAULT since I started it in February 2010. There are readers from all over the world, including South Africa (!), with the most in the USA, Canada & Great Britain. Among the “most faithful” readers is my Zenster friend, signofthetimes — thank you!
As Zenyatta & Dottie always tell us: follow your heart & never give up.
Well, THE VAULT in my life is living proof that great things can happen when we do just that! It doesn’t matter whether the heart wants to plant a garden, learn photography or bake the very best cheesecake ever. When we listen & follow our hearts and passions, a world of great beauty & mystery opens its doors to us.
THANK YOU, TEAM Z, ZENYATTA & MY MUCH-LOVED ZENSTER FAMILY FOR MAKING MY DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!
Jo
Love the new website design! Happy New Year to Zenyatta and the little foal and Team Zenyatta!

Wow Zenyatta! Your website is a fresh clean slate for a brand new year. This is the year your beautiful baby will be born! Love you lots and lots pretty girl.

Zenny, Dottie and everyone associated with this new site…it is fabulous! We finally finished looking at everything and love how easy it is to find videos, pictures and the diary! This is a first class website and will help newbies discover everything about our Zenny. A great deal of thought has gone into its creation and we are very pleased with everything. We especially like being able to respond to a particular post. It just brings an extra level of closeness to those who read and post here. We can’t wait till March when we’ll see the first photos of little Z/B. We’re giving everyone a “HIGH HOOF” as we welcome in the New Year.

Hi Zenny! I love your new site!
Karen Gogue
Zenny, the Rose Parade lacked something this year … mmmm, the theme JUST IMAGINE would have been perfect with a float of the new Merry Go Round at the LA ZOO – with YOU leading the way to the winners circle. As I recall, your mom, Ann, said something about imagination when it was dedicated. It would have fit right in this years parade!
Marty R / Colorado
@Karen Gogue- I believe Mrs. Moss was talking about imagination being so important when she was explaining the inclusion of a unicorn on the carousel. I was thinking the same as you, it would have been great to have had the carousel on a float.
Suzie Stammer
I love the new website! Thank you guys for making Zenny’s site so welcoming, easy to use and colorful. You have included all of the best things for us to peruse. I love that I know I can always go to Z’s diary and pick my spirits up in case they are flagging any time.
Thank you for all that you continue to do to keep all of us involved.
Love and Happy New Year from very cold Lex KY today,
(I hope Zenny and Tasty have their blankets on!)

Hi Zenny: Wow, Wow, Wowza! Your new site is fantastic. I really like it.
@ Karen Gogue: I watched the Rose Parade too, and thought the same thing. Where is Zenyatta?????? I think a Zenyatta float is something Team Z might want to consider for next year’s parade. It’s never too late when it comes to Zenny!! Right, Zenny!
Linda M
Zenny and Dottie – A HIGH HOOF on the new the Z site!!! Thanks to the Tech Team that supported this migration; impressed that it went up on time with no hick-ups!

Queen Z I love your new web page. Here’s hoping you have a wonderful New Year along with all your Barn 55 friends, the Moses, John and Dottie and all your friends at Lane’s End. We’re patiently waiting for March when you have your little one.

Nice to see the new website, such a big change. I’ll get used to navigating it soon. Must finish up taking down on the Christmas decorations and tree ( always kinda sad) with the house looking plain afterwards…….
Glad you caught up on some well deserved rest Trina. I may do the same starting today!!!
Dear Zenyatta – hope you and Tasty are loving your days. Time is just flying by!

i am on the fence about the new website look….can see why some find it harder to read…but sure is organized well…need one bit of explanation…if you use “reply” to a specific post…does the person to whom you are replying get an alert….or do we need to check our posts to see if someone replies..do love that all your races are in one place…and that all diary entries have been achived and organized….i plan to go back and re-read from the beginning…
