Dear friends,
Thank you so much for ALL of your fabulous wishes and comments about ME and my Baby Bump! I do feel wonderful and your kind words are greatly appreciated.
It was so meaningful yesterday afternoon to read Laura Sanchez’ Face Book post stating “everyone should feel that their bodies are beautiful and that they have purpose and strength!” Speaking for myself, I agree! I do feel I have a very positive self-concept. I believe this stems not only from my own personal feelings, but from the people around ME each day and the manner in which they lovingly care and interact with ME.
In life, it seems like certain sayings last the test of time for a reason…they prove to hold great meaning and truth. Based upon my life’s experiences and the people I have been blessed to be around, 2 sayings are particularly special:
1) “IT IS NOT WHAT YOU SAY, BUT HOW YOU SAY IT THAT IS IMPORTANT”
and
2) “ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.”
In my life I have been SO FORTUNATE to live and work in very positive and nurturing environments: Winter Quarter Farm, Mayberry Training Center, Barn 55, and now at Lane’s End. The people I have been able to work with have always been there for ME. They were never negative…but always very encouraging, constructive in thought, and caring. Their actions and words were positive and supportive. I know the goal was always the same no matter what the job or task at hand…to help ME achieve SUCCESS!
I will ADORE and APPRECIATE all of these people forever!
In reading so many of your comments in the Diary postings, these sayings appear to take on a special meaning for many of you as well. YOU ARE ALL SO SUPPORTIVE, POSITIVE, CARING, AND GENUINELY ENDEARING IN YOUR RESPONSES. Additionally, it seems like so many of you are bonding, making friendships, and exchanging ideas involving so many other concepts with each other. A number of you are even trying to get together so you can meet! This is all TOO CUTE and truly very special!
I sincerely hope in some way I have played a very positive role in encouraging these friendships to develop!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Sherry, thank you! Heaven just wouldn’t be heaven with out horses!!

Hank Williams, Jr. once sang a song that had the lyrics “If heaven ain’t a lot like Dixie, I don’t want to go.” Maybe he should have substituted Kentucky for Dixie, or any other horsey state you can think of.
Darlene Daniels
Amen! Sherry. I agree 100%.

I am truly sorry to report that the horses lost today in Court with Judge McKibben. Not totally sure who what when where and why. I’m just dazed and confused right now.
Judge McKibben really gave so many of us hope last summer when he granted the TRO. Now I just feel very kicked in the gut.
Happily RT Fitch was there. He took loads of notes and I’m sure he can explain much better than I could ever hope to what happened. Plus I got to meet him! I’ve waited 21/2 yrs for this! Talk about nice and honorable.
I really appreciated getting to meet him.
As for my own personal boycott against red meat??? that still stands. And I encourage all of you to join the boycott.
I’ll try to be back later with a better explanation of today’s events…

So sad about this outcome. Thanks for keeping us abreast of developments, Margaret. High hoof to you and RT.

Dearest Zenyatta
You have done so much for so many people. And speaking of myself, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate what you and your connections have done for me in the past handful of years. You have helped me to get through some very difficult situations and have also given me hope and when I thought there was none. You have made me smile, laugh and enjoy life in a new way, I am so very thankful for having been able to experience and see all of your races and etc.. If it wasn’t for the tv though, that wouldn’t have been possible, but thankfully, it was.
You shine and sparkle brighter than any star up above and I bet your little baby will outshine the stars too! Sending my Love & Blessings to you!

Hope you are doing well, Lou Ann.

Another absolutely beautiful picture of you Zenyatta. You are just gorgeous, no matter what you’re doing. An 11 on a scale from 1 to 10. You still look so fit, although obviously getting pretty close to THE BIG DAY. :) You always make me smile and so do all the comments about you.
Sue MacGray
Your baby has no idea (quite yet) what a wonderful life awaits her (or him) and all the love that will surround him (or her) the moment she(he) arrives. I can’t wait!
Debbie G/Kentucky
Beautiful post today, Zenny. It is very “Zen”. Everything you say is so true. That’s one of the great things about this diary. Everyone is so kind-hearted and loving. If anyone ever has a bad day, they know their fellow Zenny followers will be there for them to try to make them feel better. And you look absolutely gorgeous with your big baby bump! There’s just more of you to love. Love you, sweet girl!

So glad to see you happy and healthy. Can’t wait for the pictures of you and your new foal.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Dear Zenny,
I don’t think there is anything original left to say. Your post was beautiful, your picture was beautiful, and all of the comments tell the story of why this is such a wonderful “place to be.” I’ll just defer to Dawn Conrad’s comments and add that as a “horse newby,” both YOU and this site have been the find of a lifetime!
Love from your Ohio friend, Sandy

I just saw a program this week about you and Steve Willard and he expressed how great you are. I am sure you remember him from the beginning. Also, I just want to tell you I hope you are not putting too much attention to Black Caviar in Europe. Some TVG announcers are getting out of hand talking about BC. Don’t they realize she has not run in more than 2 countries with lower competition? I hope you’re not thinking about it at all because no matter what she does it doesn’t measure up to you. I am sure you have seen Rachel’s birth and I hope your birth is like you because that will be racing royalty for sure!
signofthetimes
Yes, also read BC has only competed in Australia.
Pressure is on for her to take on the Euro’s or come
To the US.
Judy from South Carolina
She was invited to come here for the Breeder’s Cup this past year but had such a hard campaign that her owners felt it best not to make the transcontinental flight.
That being said, she IS no Zenyatta (NO ONE is!!!!!!!!!) but in her native Australia she has beaten the best they have PLUS (in all fairness) beaten the boys over and over. She is, for sure, something special — the most special thing the Aussie’s have had since Phar Lap.
I only wish Black Caviar would have been a dirt horse instead of a turf specialist and come here during Rachel’s career and met HER on the track. (oops……getting catty here; must be time for bed )
LauraJ (Cincinnati OH)
Black Caviar is a sprinter. She would not have met either RA or Zenyatta on the track even if she had come here.
ZENYATTALOVERAMY!!
Hey! zen! so glad your doing well! i want to say congrats to rachel alexandra and her new baby colt! And i want to say good luck to hansen going for his 4th straight win!! Luvyuzen! FROM YOUR BIGEST FAN AMY

Dear Zenyatta and Dottie – It has all been said, ever so eloquently and as for myself, this site is my safe place, my retreat with a cup of afternoon tea and sometimes a cookie and I am always uplifted and amazed at all we can learn and enjoy all from your kindness and those of your connections. I look forward to it every day. All the people I’ve met, either by e mails, and some in person! would not have happened but for you Zenyatta. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have seen you in person and to realize early on, what a special gift you are to the world.
We all look forward to your upcoming baby and of course we welcome it into the world . You are an amazing inspiration to all. I love the idea of Z for President! Someone with some good old-fashioned horse sense…..
Hope soon I will get to meet some of the Z-sters at SA and or HP. We are just a big family.
Dawn Conrad / Colorado
Delrene – I love your post!! You really made me smile with your “good old-fashioned horse sense slogan for Zenyatta’s run at the White House!!
Yvonne and Maurice
Hi Zenyatta. Once again, you look so beautiful grazing – just gorgeous. Where is Tasty? Heard great news – Blind Luck will be bred to Berni and she will foal in Washington state. Looking forward to that union. Berni sure is a favorite with the gals! Have a wonderful evening, stay toasty, eat well for two and you and Tasty have a great time counting the days till you become beautiful mommies. Love you, Angels.
