Good Morning,
I hope all of you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was extremely pleasant and I really enjoyed getting to spend time in my new paddock and stall.
I wanted to share with you THE VIEW I have while I’m out grazing and relaxing in the field. It is terrific! I can literally see everything going on everywhere at the farm. You know I love this… I never want to miss a thing!
TASTY and I have so much room to stretch our legs and enjoy the sunshine. The weather has really been ‘cooperative’ lately. It is not nearly as cold in Lexington as it was last winter when I arrived here.
The weekend’s sporting events were ‘extremely competitive’. I’d mentioned on Friday that I love CLOSE FINISHES… and one could not have asked for a more exciting finish to a SUPER BOWL game than the one we had yesterday. The excitement and contention went down to the last few seconds… and the very last play! The Giants and the Patriots both played very well and had exceptional seasons! Congratulations to each… and a special HIGH HOOF to the N.Y. GIANTS on their victory! What a thrill for them to win 2 of the last 4 Super Bowls! This is a remarkable achievement!
As for my sport, what a weekend of great stakes activity. I’m sending my heartfelt congratulations to all of the winners! My BARN 55 pal, Mr. Commons, deserves a HIGH HOOF from ME for his victory in the Arcadia Handicap (G2). The 3 year old stakes around the country are starting to add some excitement to the Derby picture these days. I must compliment my guy, BERNIE, on the recent victories by some of his top 3 year old colts on the Road to the TRIPLE CROWN. Last week, Algorithms won the Holy Bull (G3) at Gulfstream and Saturday Alpha won the Withers Stake (G3) at Aqueduct! YEAH, BERNIE!
This is all so exciting!
Several people stopped Dottie at Santa Anita on Saturday asking about ME! Thank you so much! To answer several of the questions:
1) I am due at the beginning of March. Being that it is my first foal… one never knows if I will be late or early. I will definitely keep you posted as the month progresses as to how I am doing and ‘any changes’ in my ADORABLE BODY! (Blush, Blush!)
2) I do not know whether I am having a colt or a filly. No one does! My owners like to be ‘surprised’… so they do not have the tests done on their mares to determine this. So… we will ALL find out at the same time.
I must say… not knowing does add a definite element of EXCITEMENT to all of this.
3) TASTY is on the same exact schedule as I am… as we both conceived on the same day… April 3rd. She is in foal to Candy Ride.
4) I am with ALL of my same loving caretakers at my new barn. So is TASTY. This makes it so comfortable for us!
Thank you for asking!
From my new home to yours… here’s wishing you a very happy MONDAY!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Z.. What a beautiful sight looking between a horses ears. What a wonderful paddock you and TT have as you wait for your foals to be born. Today I ordered your “barn 55 tote bag” now if only I could visit with you I would fill it with carrots and peppermints for you and TT.
I guess I can always wish. Enjoy your new home and hugs and kisses to you and TT and a belly kiss for each foal. XOXO
Nancy
I am loving you have such a peaceful setting for your big event to come, yet, as you say you, you can keep tabs with all the goings on. Stay relaxed and in the know, it will make it much easier for you. I love you and am hoping for a strong healthy foal for you. Long live the Queen!!
sue and tony
Zenny, What a lovely spot you and TT have…and for a horse who must always be “in the know” it looks perfect. We get so excited just anticipating the arrival of little Z/B…we can’t imagine what Ann, Jerry, Dottie, John, Mario, Carmen and the rest of your team feel.
Stay healthy and happy, big girl. March will be here before you know it.

Hi Zenyatta, glad you had a good time at your new digs.. I would like to know if your stall has a camera to keep an eye on you. I would also like to know the size of your foaling stall, is there different people to help with the foaling? I got my plushie today, it will go in my curio. I have four cairn terriers, two boys and two girls, they would tear this lovely thing apart. enjoy this week. time is really moving on. love SHERRY

Hi Zenny, happy Monday to you also. Glad to know that you are all squared away in your new barn and paddock and find everything very confortable. It really is nice that you and Tasty can share this whole experience together and give each other support. I’m glad that the weather is doing better for you over there from last year being that you are in foal. We have had some real good weather here in S. California also. We will be on the watch to find out when you have your foal and what it will be. This is very exciting in deed. Relax and enjoy these special days, sending a bunch of love and kisses.

Hi Queen Z….So glad you are enjoying your new surroundings. From the picture it looks like you rule the place.
I received my plushies’s of you today. I just love them. They are soooo cute. I’ll have a hard time keeping them from my granddaughter (12).
So happy for your pal Mr Commens and Barn 55. And all of Bernie’s off spring that are doing so well on the track. I know it’s exciting for you keeping up with all these friends of yours.

My Queen,
It fills my heart with so much JOY to know you & Tasty are so happy. Everyone needs a great friend like you have with Tasty. Please tell your Dottie once again how grateful we all are for all the time and energy , heart & soul she pours into conveying your words for us. Just like you she gives it her very best & just like you it shows she is a great champion. I am waiting with baited breath for the new addition to our Zenyatta family to arrive. There is NO doubt in my heart that you will ‘Champion” through it just like you did all of your races. I am so full of beyond Joy today. My husband came walking through the door and my “Tasty” sent me your plushie. I have #20! The sentimental significance of #20 as well as how precious they are has me sobbing tears of utter , pure JOY. This is before I mention the generosity and thoughtfulness of my “great friend.” If it should end tonight, I have now lived to “see” your foal…not that I am going anywhere! I am so very blessed Zenyatta and it is literally ALL because of YOU.
@Dear ALL who prayed, sent me positive thoughts & left such beautiful, warm , loving , kind comments. I was too overwhelmed to respond yesterday. A day later and I still have no words to describe how deeply moved, touched way down to the core of my heart I am. I can only say THANK YOU and I LOVE you ALL!
I did this video on Jan 12th-(heart) and never posted it. It is You Queen Z dancing to the song “Love Thing.” It is the best I can do to say Thank you!!

She see it as her first step towards the winner’s circle at Churchill, preferably on a Saturday in early May.

Love the view from your new paddock !Hope you are feeling well, you are a very special girl, will talk to you again soon !

Forgot to add,its very obvious to me,Zen was not being riden, the photo was taken by standing on the fence, shooting over her head ! Being an amateur photographer and working on a horse farm and always carrying my camera ,I’ve been in many a strange place to get that special shot ! This definately was a great shot and am very grateful to the photographer for sharing !!!!!!

Yes, Cheryl Y. I was surprised how large the plushie are from the video Sarah and Matt
made. The larger the more life like and you can really feel what it is like to hug Zenny.
Great work on this wonderful collectors item.

My Plushies arrived and they are adorable. If I had been home, I would have received them on Saturday but the carrier didn’t leave them and I had to go to the post office today and pick them up. I opened them up immediately and as I driving with the windows down, the breeze was ruffling the mane on Zenyatta and it looked just like Zenyatta’s mane in today’s photo. How cute is that.
@You might be a redneck if you drive down the road ‘rasslin’ with a box trying to get it open with one hand and trying to steer with the other.
Darlene Daniels
That is TOO CUTE, Rosemary. Glad you got it.
Vicki B. near Hollywood Park
Yes, Rosemary, can’t wait til ya get home, and payin’ your redneck dues!

Dear Zenyatta Yea I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Plushie. I cried when I opened it and saw the Jockey Club card. It has your birthday, color and all your information. Thank you Dottie and John for signing them. My number is 132. I just could not be happier. I hope everyone has a good night. Hugs and Kisses, Shari
@ Kari left you a message after your video.
@ Terry crow You make me laugh. Can I be a Redneck and join the Ohio group? : )
@ Dawn did you get yours ?
Dawn Conrad / Colorado
Dear friend, yes I received my beautiful Zenny and baby today. It was LOVE at first site, they had me at hello! #62 checked out her surroundings in true Zenny fashion when she arrived and appears to be quite happy with ears forward. I may have even seen a bit of a dance out of the corner of my eye. She and Baby Z have already been groomed, petted, kissed and bedded down for the night. I can’t thank Dottie and John enough for their generousity in signing all of the Jockey Club cards, how special!!! You have a wonderful day tomorrow, Shari!! Love and hugs.

We have a president already but you can certainly be a charter member. Proud to have you aboard. You will be acknowledged in my next general post.

Glad to hear you are doing great. Not much more time until the big day. Would be great to see both you and Tasty with your babies. Hope they are born close to one another. How long until you and your foal are out in the pastures running around and will you be in with more mares and their foals or just you and Tasty??
Max
Zenyatta: You are now in the home stretch. We are all hoping that everything goes quickly and well for you and your little foal to come. This is even more exciting than waiting to hear about your HOY award. I think about you every day like all of your fans.
@Mo fans. Does anyone have any news of Mo or Stay Thirsty?
JAG / Pacing Auntie Judy So. CA / Plushie #33
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/66525/big-things-expected-from-stay-thirsty-in-2012
Quote: “He’ll get 60-90 days off and return to training with Todd (Pletcher) in mid-January or February,” Repole said. “He probably won’t even race in Florida. We really want to focus on the second quarter of the year on. He might start in the Westchester (gr. III in April at Belmont) and then possibly the Met Mile (gr. I on Memorial Day at Belmont). He’s proven that he can run well anywhere from six furlongs to a mile and half, so we have plenty of options. Adding the Met Mile to his resume, which already includes the mile and quarter Travers, could be very attractive
@ MAX
This article mentions STAY THIRSTY getting time off…. maybe we’ll get some updates now what we are in Feburary!
