Dear, dear, dear friends,
I am so proud and elated to share the news with you that I am now a MOM. I just gave birth to a lovely dark bay COLT, March 8th, at approximately 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time.
My adorable foal weighed in at 130 pounds, has a white star on his forehead….and some white on his feet. As Ann commented when she saw him, “he has polka dots on his feet, Zennie, just like YOU.”
All went very well with the foaling. I must say….I did it like a CHAMP!
My foal is absolutely precious…and I am so pleased to share this entire experience with all of you…my precious and loving friends.
We are all still just getting acclimated to this entire new experience. I’m doing great. MY BABY is doing great….and Bernie is also excited! I’ll update you again with some more photos in the morning.
All blessings to each of YOU….and THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART….for being there for ME and SHARING THIS WONDERFUL PART OF MY LIFE WITH ME!
Hugs to All~(Can you believe it…..I’m now a MOM!)

Am so beyond excited for you Zenyatta!!! He is absolutely the cutest foal ever! And you look just beautiful! As always! I think he has your ears and sweet little face!!! I know Bernardini is probably jumping for joy! I think his name should be “FromBtoZwithLove”…how cute is that!
I have to tell you that you have been such an inspiration to me to keep going. Karina Bussell was a dear friend of mine through FB and she was always trying to things to keep my spirits up and never once did she let on that she was also sick. I’m going to miss her so much. So much of your giving spirit shined through in her! I am not terminally ill like she was, but when I was 33 I was diagnosed with colon cancer and went through 6 months of chemo after surgery, then 18 months to the day from my first surgery, I had to have my ovaries removed because the cancer had spread, and went through another 6 months of chemo. All was well until late 2010 when my kidneys started shutting down and I had to start the process to find a living kidney donor as well as go through all the testing to get put on the national donor list. My kidneys were shutting down so quickly, that by February of last year I had to start dialysis (which is almost worse than chemo)! but reading your daily diary entries gave me hope and helped to keep going, even when I wanted nothing more than to just give up. My best friend from childhood turned out to be an exact match for me and this past August she gave me one of her kidneys. I am still struggling with a lot of things, but YOU have kept me going and believing in myself to not ever give up! And now that you little one is here, I am even more determined to work through all of my health issues.
It is my one hope in life that I will get to meet you one day and be as lucky as Karina was to at least just be able to touch you and give you a hug and kiss and bring you as many carrots as you can stand! I will keep hoping for that for as long as I’m still alive my sweet Zenyatta! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being YOU and giving me and so many others hope to keep going in the face of adversity! I love you!!!
With love and hugs~
Welcome to the club Zenyatta! You’re going to love motherhood–most of the time anyway!

Ann,Jerry,Dottie,John not to forget Mikie, he to made it happen big time, for all the wins
and fame for Zenyatta. You don’t have a horse without a rider, Mike and Zenyatta they both made it happen, the saying is, it takes 2 to tangle, right Mike. Yea, I worke at Heart of Tucson Rescue, Mike is familar with the place and donated.
Zenyatta you have lots of people that want to give you and your baby a big huge, I sure am one of them. And for sure all the Muckers and walkers you are so great.

Sharon, a lot of people seem to agree with you about “Zendini”, but I just haven’t been able to love it, somehow sounds too much like “Houdini”. However I do like it much better than “Bernyatta”, another popular choice.
WONDERFUL, ZENYATTA , You have done it again! You have hit the ball right out of the park, so to speak… What a lovely photo of you and baby Z…..HE LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU, His Papa must be very proud!!! I know you are so happy…I can see it in your beautiful face looking at him with such kindness and love. May he bring you as much joy and love as you have brought to all of us, your fans for life. Love you Mama and Baby Z, I shall love you forever. Jean,
<3 you momma z and tell baby z I love him too!
Beautiful foal. Congratulations Zenny. Now, my pic for a name?
Awwwwwwwww! Adorable! He has the ears! Name suggestion is Bernazenny
I am guessing Z’s family has been mulling over names since the first pregnancy and have something special picked out for this gorgeous boy. He really needs his own name- not a combination of his parents. He is royalty afterall!
I like the names ZMagical, All Her Magic, or Zenyatta’s Magic

I was so thrilled to hear that you and your colt are doing great. It seems fitting that the Queen has passed on her good looks. Enjoy motherhood and your little guy…they grow up so fast. From horse of the year to Mom of the year. I’ve been a fan since you broke your maiden, and now this little guy has fans from day 1. Befitting of a King of Z!
