Good Morning Everyone!
Happy Saturday! I wanted to share this photo of SOPHIE…along with her message to ME…with YOU. Needless to say, she is keeping up on all of my ‘activities and experiences’ while I’m at Lane’s End. Here, Sophie is nibbling on one of her favorite chew goodies…but she did want to remind me to EAT PROPERLY, WATCH MY DIET and TO MONITOR ALL OF MY SNACKS at this time.
Needless to say, this is all very exciting! I so appreciate all of your sweet messages. MARIO is an absolute doll! (So glad you noticed!) Please remember, that I do TANGO with my BARN 55 friends and MY TEAM all of the time. We do this often and really do keep in touch. It is so kind of you to want to start a fund for Mario to come and visit me. FYI, he will be able to come for visits with others from my CA FAMILY. MY TEAM will always offer him the opportunity to stay in touch with ME! THANK YOU, though, for all of your thoughtfulness and the kindness of this gesture. It is greatly appreciated by all of MY TEAM! I also wanted you to know how deeply touched Mario is by this act of kindness you have shown him!
Many of you have asked…what will happen next with me? The web-page on Fetus Development…that you are referring to in the ‘RESPONSES’…can be very educational. So, if you chose to review the material presented, it can be a very helpful reference to learn about the stages I will be experiencing during the next 11 months. This may be found HERE. Dottie was explaining to me…just like women have books to refer to when they are having babies….this can be a great reference for ME! There are always so many NEW things to learn in life! I am having a wonderful time exploring them!
On several occasions, Dottie has mentioned to ME how special it is to read so many of your wonderful, uplifting ‘RESPONSES’ in the DIARY. Often in life, we face various challenges. In one way or another, we ALL have them. They come in different forms, situations, and at different times of our lives. That is why it is so meaningful to see so many of you really trying to offer support, kindness and a WONDERFUL LOVING SPIRIT…not just to ME and MY TEAM…BUT TO EACH OTHER. It means a GREAT DEAL TO ME!
I know this type of support, devotion, and love is what encouraged me to become the HORSE I AM. I could not have done it all without the GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT that MY TEAM and MY FANS extended to ME! Thus, to see an extension of this continue with ALL of YOU via your ‘RESPONSES’ in the DIARY…REALLY MAKES ME FEEL SO PROUD!
With Love,
Hugs to All…Especially, at this time, to my dear friend, “BUD”~

Hi Zenny! Hope you’re having a great day today. I wish you could read some of the conversations about you in the threads on Facebook! You and Team Z would crack up! Everybody has named your baby already…so far the names I like best are “HORIZEN” and “WEEKEND @ BERNIES.” LOL
I often view the video of you being turned out for the first time at Lane’s End to make me feel happy! Goodness, you are soooo happy in that video.
Can you plan another lesson on horseracing and thoroughbreds. For example, how many times you have to be tested, etc. Things we would never get to know unless we were privileged enough to be on the inside of the sport? I would love to know what it was like for you waiting in the gate for a race to start!
You are so beautiful Zenny! I love you dearly, and I tell all my horses about you when I groom them! Stay beautiful and keep your pasture friends happy too Zenyatta!

Hello Sophie,
I know you are a good friend to Zenyatta. We love seeing your photo, too.
Hugs to all,

You are so special as a role model that all of your fans are always concerned for your health and welfare. It is good to know that all goes well with you. I hope that you are enjoying some good weather so that you can run freely in your paddock with your pals. Love to read about your adventures. Many thanks to Team Z.

It’s going to be really fun watching you progress over the next year. My friend’s mare just foaled in the very early hours of the morning today and gave birth to a beautiful and healthy colt. We’ve been anticipating the day for the past week and she got her wish for a Saturday morning birthing. :) I’m so incredibly excited for her and I can’t wait to be just as excited about your foal!

Sophie, you are too adorable!
I can’t wait to read the link to baby development.
@Maryann-I wish I could crochet–I’d join you.
Zenny– you are a huge hunk of “adorability”. I think I’ve said that before, but I can’t think of any other way to describe you. Maybe your foal could be “Adorability II”. Some peopls just don’t understand how many of us could be so crazy about you. They just don’t get it, but I’m so thankful we do! Love you always.

all of our 4-legged friends communicate to us in special ways. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and they send messages all the time, just like Zenyatta. warmest regards to Dottie for ALL the time and effort that goes into this diary and to the rest of Team Zenyatta who support and encourage the effort. We are SUCH happy and lucky fans to be in electronic touch with the beloved Zenyatta!!!
Christine
Thanks Zen & Dottie for your kind response.
I have been following on line so many educational things about your health. What strikes me is how your care parallels the care given to us humans in such an important part of the development of our children.
I go to the sites that are given to learn about so many things equestrian. Your blood line and how traits have shown up in you from all the great ones of the past is very impressive.
I know your foal will be one of a kind with a great future.
Love you Zen
Lynn
Hi Zenny

Zenny, It continues to amaze me how dedicated your spokeshuman, Dottie is with helping you voice all these posts. We so love them, but I think Dottie should be allowed to go to an every-other-day schedule so she gets some time to relax while all of us wait for big milestones. As for Guiness – a bottle of beer on an average sized human mom can have a big effect, but on a 1200 pound horse not at all. Sour mash, which still gets fed to horses is partially fermented. Thankfully, I’m long past my “broodmare” days, ’cause I do enjoy my Guiness! I did the “Climb to Conquer Cancer” up South Mountain in Phoenix this morning – about 10,000 people. Did it for those in my family with this awful disease, and for any of you fighting the fight. A very good kind of tired.

OH, ZENNY, SO LOVED YOUR CLOSING OF SPECIAL HUGS TO BUD. HE IS A DEAR FRIEND AND IS SO FOND OF YOU, TOO.

Aww, Zenny I love you!!! You are the greatest racehorse of all time and have brought me to tears countless times. I’ve always loved racing but I’ve never been a huger fan for a horse than I have for you. I have a lot of Zenyatta memorabilia and just keep getting more and more. You and your team inspire us all and I absolutely cannot explain how much I love you and your team. The first day I saw you in person was the greatest day of my life and I hope to come meet you in person someday! You’re an absolutely incredible horse and you’ve really captured the hearts and minds of so many racing fans, including me. You mean so much to me, Zenyatta! Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. Good luck in your new career; you will have wonderful foals! I know that the Mosses, Shirreffs, Mario & Carmen, Steve, Mikey, and everyone else involved will come across many other awesome horses, but no horse can ever replace you, Z! You have a huge place in everyone’s hearts!

Zenny – Happy Saturday! You’re always teaching us things. I have your time line printed. Beautiful girl I love knowing you are doing well.

Dear Zenyatta, Your big extended family are so gracious to share all these exciting details to us. The news is just wonderful and so glad that it was a smooth breeding. Z has given so much and to see her happy, healthy and adjusted is the best. Can’t wait to see the photo’s of the next big visit. Mike’s video of his visit was so great to see. Your a special, precious, gorgeous horse.

Zen, what a nice thing you said when you showed your appreciation for the love and support of those who “made you the horse you are.” I want to thank you for these words, because, as a horse owner, it makes me cry for joy that you horses notice and appreciate the things we do for you and know how much we love you. You made my day, Zen!

Hi zenny, it is good to hear that you are getting alot of info. from Dottie. She is such a great help to you. I’m glad that you are doing the Tango often with your barn 55 team. I always wonder about that. I like to know that you are getting the care you so deserve. I’m sure that Mario will visit you as often as he can. He loves you like a child. He wants to see you happy. We got a bit of nippy weather here in California. When it gets this cold I think of you and wonder how you can stand it being you are a California girl. So now you have to be on somewhat of a diet and watch the goodies. I can tell you that I do feel sorry for you on that one. I know how much you love your special treats and your guiness. I’m sure you will take it all in stride. You are so smart Zenyatta that you just know what is expected of you and you aim to please. This is just another thing that makes you so special. Have a great week-end and I love you much, Zenny.

Zenyatta,
Sophie is such a sweetie pie. Thank you so much for the info on fetal development. It will be easier for me to follow your progress. Does your diet change if you are in foul. I’m so greatfull to your team for sharing you with us. Have a fun day big mama. Love & kisses.

Wonderful idea of MARYANN’s, crochet baby blankets and donate them to charity in Zenyatta and babies name. What a nice way to celebrate all babies, they will be snuggled up in love.

Sophie is so cute!! And thank you Miss Z for being the inspiration for loving and generous acts and thoughts. As always you have a way of bringing out the best in we two legged creatures. Much love to you and I’m going to study the fetus website now…

I forgot to ask about Bud. Who is he? Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t know? If so, I apologize.
