Good Morning Everyone!
Today is Sunday…a great day that is part of the weekend! I am just beginning to learn what the term ‘weekend’ means to many people. I usually had my biggest races on Saturday or Sunday….so as an athlete…these were BIG WORK DAYS for ME! Now I am learning that for many people…they are DAYS TO RELAX and ENJOY FAMILY and FRIENDS.
One concept I’ve heard of is BRUNCH. I’ve been out playing for a bit this morning…..and had a great idea. I thought…WHY DON’T WE ALL HAVE BRUNCH TOGETHER. So, as I’m back in my stall for a bit…munching away on my PEARS (a great snack that I am very, very fond of these days)…I thought this would be fun! Watch me!
So…PLEASE JOIN ME FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH! Click Here
I hope you enjoy the videos.
Happy Sunday!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

You are such a cutie!

Love the pear munching and a nice old roll in the mud, does a horse good doesn’t it??
Thanks for the link about the foal size and gestation periods. I counted and our mare is on her 240the day, so our little foal is about the size of a lamb — now I can really picture it in my mind. Our mare has a lot of thoroughbred in her, she’s about 16’2 and the stud is about 15’3 so I’m hoping we have a nice size little colt in a couple of months. Happy Sunday!!

Your coat looks mottled. It is because of the cold and snow?

Dearest, Zenny. You looked just lovely in your “I’m having fun outfit” and I understand mud is very good for the complexion. How wonderful that you get to just kick back and enjoy the weekend now, with blue skies and sunshine. What a wonderful invitation to brunch. I enjoyed it very much. I really like pears and that one you had looked very yummy. Sarah thank you so much for juggling the pear and the camera and sharing such a special moment with us all. Hug and kisses. XXXOOO
@Shari, Karen, Lanie, Dani, L, Ensign and Suzanne G. – Left a message for each of you toward the bottom of #94.
@Judy Berube – As soon as I read about the accident in the Bloodhorse my thoughts and prayers went out to Eibar Coa and his family. You are right, it is unimaginable. I hope for a full recovery.

Zenny you are soooo cute, thanks for the great Sunday brunch, who doesn’t love pears? Really made your ears perk up. Really loved the video, it makes us feel so close to you.

Awesome post! What fun- maybe someone can send Sarah a video cam if you’re not happy with what you see- don’t be picky, be happy with what we get :-) Happy Sunday!

Good afternoon, my love. I love pears too, in fact I just sat and ate a pear w/you!… Who was your friend that I heard making all the noise? I love the pic Dottie posted. Even when you’re muddy, you’re beautiful. Have a wonderful week…Love you…
Sue Fredrick
Oh wonderful, now my day is complete! To see you after a mud bath and then be invited to have brunch with you…..what else could a Z-lover ask for. You are so cute munching on those pears with the juice dribbling out of your mouth, you sure are getting the Queenly treatment you deserve. I bet Sarah just loves to play around with you like that, I sure would. I don’t think a horse could be much happier….which makes me very happy. Thanks to Sarah and St Dottie for treating us to these glimpses into your life. Luv and kisses on your nose

Happy Sunday Z! Thank you so much for the video’s! Dottie/Sarah the daily interactions you share with us are so…special. Most thoroughbreds retire and we don’t really get to see much of them after that. Thank you for including us, in Zenyatta’s retirement, she has a great big family out here!!

@Shari Voltz–I am so sorry about your mom. My mom lived with us until she had to go to the nursing home, and you are right; that’s not great. I know what you’re going through. But at least you have dear Z to keep you inspired. I wish I had had these posts to keep me going a few years ago. Thanks you also for sharing our darling Z with your class.

Dear Zenyatta, So cute having your pears for brunch. You are just beautiful even with the mud. That’s the first of you not being impeccably groomed. Great to be a horse after all you deserve it.
I hope you take on the first breeding!! It is so exciting and learning all the steps to foaling, so interesting.
Thank You for great videos!

Thanks for sharing your brunch with us. I love you so much. Racing isn’t quite the same this year without you. Stay dry tomorrow. Lots of rain expected here.

Hello Beautiful!
I hope people don’t mind my posting this here, but I do know the ZTeam is trying to get more people interested in racing. Sooo – I thought I’d mention that John Velazquez (perhaps currently best known as Uncle Mo’s jockey) has a brand new FaceBook page:

Sounded like someone else wanted to join in Z’s Sunday Brunch.
Great Videos. I enjoy watching Z’s intelligent and engaging eyeful expression.
Jenna
Oh my goodness what a doll-y she is. I could watch her eat all day. That sweet face and that cute disposition.
Happy Sunday indeed :)
Love you, Z. And thank you, D. :)

Hi Queen Z,
Thanks for having brunch with us today! I know you enjoyed your pears and I was eating an apple when I clicked on your site! We had brunch together!
The picture of today-you finally look like a horse that is enjoying the good life, you have mud on your face and your back. You really look like a relaxed horse that just had a good time in the paddock rolling in the mud! Good for you!! That is the way I am used to seeing my “guys’ out back-a little mud and dust feels great!
Charles spends 2 hours grooming you and you spend 5 minutes in the mud undoing it! Now ya got it, that’s how it’s done.
Happy Sunday, love and nose kisses. Joyce.

I just had cataract surgery on my right eye and am due to have the left eye done on March 8. I’ve been viewing all of the pictures and videos with less than half vision and now that I have good vision in one eye, I can finally appreciate just exactly how beautiful Z is. I have one of her pictures as my wallpaper on my computer. It’s a head and neck shot with some green and orange in the background and she is slick and looks like polished mahagony. Just awesomely beautiful. Can’t wait to get my other eye done and full vision once again and can really enjoy everything on this site as well as everything else. Just in time for Spring! Yeah!
Mary
Zenyatta, thank you for inviting us into your special world to share your pear Sunday Brunch! Hugs and Prayers

Dear Z,
Just watched the 7th race at Santa Anita. Congrats to The Moss’s, John, Mikey and Mokamba. She came from off the pace and won in a photo finish. Mario was there to bring her to the Winners Circle and back to her barn. Miss you racing; but looking forward to the little one. Love to all of you. Judy and Russ

Hi, Zenny! Looks like you gave Makoma some advice! Memories of you and Mike closing fast at the wire today to win the 7th at Santa Anita! There she was–with cotton in her ears, no less! Congratulations to Team Z and Barn 55! So good to see Mike in the Mosses’ silks on a beautiful winning filly. Thank you for sharing brunch time with us. You so deserve the good life!
