Good Morning Everyone!
Today is Sunday…a great day that is part of the weekend! I am just beginning to learn what the term ‘weekend’ means to many people. I usually had my biggest races on Saturday or Sunday….so as an athlete…these were BIG WORK DAYS for ME! Now I am learning that for many people…they are DAYS TO RELAX and ENJOY FAMILY and FRIENDS.
One concept I’ve heard of is BRUNCH. I’ve been out playing for a bit this morning…..and had a great idea. I thought…WHY DON’T WE ALL HAVE BRUNCH TOGETHER. So, as I’m back in my stall for a bit…munching away on my PEARS (a great snack that I am very, very fond of these days)…I thought this would be fun! Watch me!
So…PLEASE JOIN ME FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH! Click Here
I hope you enjoy the videos.
Happy Sunday!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

How in the world did you learn to eat all those goodies? Our horses don’t seem to want to even try a carrot or an apple.

Zenyatta: It’s lovely to see you blessed by Mother Earth mud!

Dear Zenny
Just loved watching you have brunch. You like many food. My TB was
soooo picky. Just one sniff and a turn of the head. Loved watching you
Chew those pears. The whole one so juicy and then
The dropping pieces. A real horse brunch. Thanks sooo
Much to Lanes End for taking the time in busy breeding
Session to make this video for us. Love the diary entry. Glad you
Can have relaxing weekends now. XXXOOO. Happy Sunday!!!!

@Lizzy
Let me know what you think of the book on Man O War. I just
Purchased it and love the old photos. Have a great Sunday

John Velasquez rode To Honor And Serve this weekend. Third place.
Bill Mott trained Cigar. Keep your fingers crossed for
Bernies son. I guess he is trying to play both ends to
Get the best derby mount. The Mott team will chose a permanent
Jockey committed to ride him in the Derby. John will probably
Chose Uncle Mo. Who will be the lucky on to ride Bernies son???
All of this is a premonition for Zenyatta’s embryo. A future Triple
Crown winner ?????

Getting down and dirty!

What a great day for you.

Just go ahead and kiss her nose for me, please! :)

Hi sweetie, you look fabulous as always. I am very excited to see what the days ahead hold for you! I wish you a very uneventful pregnancy with the company of your girlfriends (hi PQ!! Seagull, Alyss). Love you and Dottie! Thanks for the updates, keep them coming!

Thanks for sharing this idea…pears. I will add to the carrots that I normally have at the barn.

@Jane in Seattle – that is so wild. I have been watching to see if Johnny V or someone would create an FB page – I was actually just looking yesterday. Hooray. I really like him. Thanks for the heads-up.
.
@Judy Berube – thank you for letting us know about Makoma’s exciting win. I was able to watch the replay online. Didn’t get to see Mario though. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Moss, to Mike and especially to Sophie Shirreff’s dad John for another outstanding job as trainer.
.
@Dawn Conrad – thank you very much for the nice comment. I appreciate it.
.
@Sharon Call – happy to hear you will be getting your full vision back. I am partially blind in one eye. Fortunately I have very good vision in the other eye. I am so lucky to be able to see, for instance, how dazzling Zenyatta is. :) I don’t take that for granted.
.
Zenny – no pears at my place. Just oranges and kiwi. You might like kiwi though and it is very, very good for you.

Congratulations !! to CA Team-Z,
The second day in a row, John and Mike have won a very exciting race at Santa Anita!! Today, the horse to win, in a very close finish, was Makoma; and he belongs to the “OWNERS of the YEAR”…the Mosses!!! So Big Mama, you may be having a relaxing Sunday, and Brunch with the girls, but your loved-ones, back at Barn 55, are putting on a fabulous SHOW!!
We race fans thank-you all. Fondly, OraJean

Zenny…my hubby asked me this morning if there was anything new on your site. I peeked and told him about the videos. So, he and I both enjoyed brunch with you today! Thanks, Sarah, for taking the time to give us another peek into her new life. She appears so happy…it makes me smile. Who whould have thought thousands of humans would devour any tidbit of news you and the rest of team Z offer? We are totally in awe of her. I just wish I could kiss that sweet, soft nose.
Kathleen Marsh
Thank you Sarah for the great videos—and thank you Dottie for keeping us up to date on our wonderful Zenyatta.

AWWWWW….I just LOVED THESE..please thank Dottie over and over again for posting them!! I was late getting here today so I shared some southern pot roast and chocolate pie I made for supper with ya! I’ll be sure and bring pears when we all come to see you!!!! How nice to have the videos….it’s sort of like reaching out and touching you!! It’s certainly warm here in Ky today but some really nasty storms are on the way tonight. I hope you’ll be okay..it could get pretty loud and have lots of winds and lightning. Seems Louisville is getting hit pretty hard…here in Owensboro it is going to start soon. You just look great Zenny! We heard that people can go and see Rachel now…I’d like to see her..she is a special horse too and very beautiful! Keep dry and happy sweet girl…you are missed so much each and every day…I go back and watch your races all the time…such a great time to be alive and to be able to share all that with you!
Always I say a prayer for you and for all horses out there every night…and for team Z and the folks at Lane’s End who lovingly care for you and your friends there. Tell all hello for me and hopefully Spring is just about to bud in Ky! Gee..the Derby isn’t far away either. Hope you get to watch! I love you..here..under the moon over Ky!!

Hi Zenny: Well it looks like you had a very exciting weekend. The greeting and picture from Sophie was just adorable!!! Also, congratulations to John and the Moss’ and Mike with the winning of Makoma. A great weekend for the Team. Also a great big thank you to Dottie. We really appreciate you giving us these daily posts. It is not so easy with your busy schedule, so I really want to say thank you. I read yesterday’s post and found the “development of the fetus very informative.” Like many of your fans, Zenny, I booked marked it so I can refer back to it as we go along. Thank you for the invite for brunch. I really enjoyed our visit and loved the videos. To the Lanes End Team, thank you for bringing us such a great video of Zenny. The video of you and Sarah (a while back) was so sweet, too. Love you Zenny.

I laughed when I saw the comment about one poster’s husband rolling his eyes and smiling when he saw she was on Zenyatta’s site. My husband saw the video of her eating the pears and said “She really is beautiful.” He gets a kick out of these videos too.

Zenyatta, your pictures and videos mean SO much to us. We really appreciate the time and effort you take to communicate with your fans. I would love to see you, but for now this diary will suffice. Keep eating healthy and know that we simply adore you. You are my dream horse.
LouAnn Cingel of Union, Missouri
