Lucky me! Photo by Sarah Campion
Hello Everyone!
Hope all of you are doing well! Everything here is just moving along beautifully! LOOK…I had COMPANY YESTERDAY! My dear owner, ANN, stopped by to visit me while on her way to a conference. This is GREAT FUN! Not only did we get to visit, snack, and catch up on all of the news from CA, but she also brought me PRESENTS for BERNIE! This is too cute!
One of the things we discussed was the “Z PIN.” Ann wanted me to let all of you know that she is working with someone on making the pin. Dottie and Mr. Moss are have a meeting this afternoon in relation to these things! Let’s hope it all works out! This type of ‘business stuff’ is all new to me!
I also wanted to give you a special update on the ZENYATTA LOUNGE. We hear many of you have been calling to help. This is great news and your kindness is so appreciated. At this time, I’d also like to introduce you to INES ROSAS. She is the ZENYATTA LOUNGE WOMAN OF THE MONTH.
The ladies all went to dinner at the Panda Inn on Monday night to celebrate the monthly birthdays and INES. When they were honoring INES, my jockey, Mike Smith, happened to be in the restaurant with some friends. He was so sweet! He came over to the celebration, congratulated INES, signed her CERTIFICATE, and stayed for photos. Cell phone cameras were flashing brightly. All of this really helped to make this a special evening for the Ladies. Too cute! I’ve just heard that INES is off to celebrate her gift…a facial or haircut. She can choose whatever she would prefer!
As a THANK YOU for this honor, INES taught a group of women in the lounge how to make cookies without an oven. I heard they were delicious! I’m not a cookie girl (yet)…but I heard they were a real HIT! I’m sending INES and all of the Ladies at the ZENYATTA LOUNGE a BIG HUG! I’m also sending ONE TO EACH OF YOU! Friends are so important!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Take care pretty girl.

Good Evening Queen “Z” It has been a little over a week since I checked your posts. I had a family emergency to attend to, but thru my son was on top of all your news! I so thrilled to hear how well your date with Bernie went. Can’t wait to hear the confirmation you are in foal. During this difficult time it certainly cheered me up hearing about your daily posts.
So nice of Ms. Moss to stop by. Family is EVERYTHING! Looks like you both enjoyed the visit. Nice to see the blue grass!
Stay warm and safe.
Hugs and kisses

What a great surprise for you. Bet you caught up on all the news over carrots and treats. What a cool day it must have been for you both.
The Zenyatta lounge sounds super. What a wonderful gift to the ladies at the track. …a place of their own to be just “ladies”.
I am into jewelry so a new Z piece would be perfect. Hope the work comes together.
Enjoy the sun in beautiful Lexington

Dear Zenyatta – Whata wonderful day you had with your human Mom – Treats for your best man too. Two more posts and you and Dottie will hit the 100 mark!!! So exciting and so informative to those of us who have lots to learn about the thoroughbred horse. You and your Team set such a wonderful example of how things can be. All the posts are so informative and interesting. I’m so happy that you can paw at grass now rather than snow. Spring is almost here.
It will bring lots of changes and new life. Such a wonderful time for you.
thanks for all the joy you bring us.
Victoria
Great fun news. Thanks.

This is just precious Zenyatta! I love the picture of you with Mrs. Moss! How sweet is that?! And I love the picture of INES with the beautiful horse next to her that is checking out the picture she is holding! Too cute! :)
I got very good news of my own today… my friend that was tested to be a living donor for me to get a kidney came back as a perfect match! She still has two more tests to have done and am praying we have good results with those and that my surgeons will agree to do the transplant once I’ve hit my 3 year mark with no cancer (previously had colon cancer that had come back and it will be 3 years ago this May since my last surgery) and if my PET scan is clean in early June, hopefully they will go forward with the transplant! Wouldn’t that be wonderful! That will be around the time we will know much more about your foal! :)
I love you so much Zenyatta and you have given me so much inspiration to never give up hope and never stop fighting for my dreams! Big hugs and kisses!!!
NIK
Hi Z – Ann looks so happy to see you and you look very focused on what she brought you. Congrats, INES! Who is that pretty horse you are standing next to?

@Catherine, I hope things go well, and you are able to get a kidney!

my wish I can visit zenyatta in lane ends she is an angel send from above,I am thankful she had a lovable owner that love her and all the love of the fans in the world.

I think it’s very beautiful and sweet to see how much Ann Moss loves ZENYATTA! Who could blame her? It would have been great if Mrs. Moss could have just put ZENYATTA out in her yard and kept her here in California. I would have offered to put her in my yard. I think it would have been cool to hang out and drink beer and eat carrots with ZENYATTA every single day. I can’t think of finer company.
Anita in CA
I feel that Hug and am sending one back Girlie Girl.

Dear Queen Zenyatta, Horse of a Lifetime
.
California isn’t the same without you, but seeing Mrs. Moss’s big smile standing next to you again warms the skies here once again. I’ll just bet you had some “Mother and Daughter” chat as you shared ripe pear treats with her. Betcha Bernie thinks he’s got the prettiest Mother-in-Law of all the boys in the Stallion Barns! AND she brings him gifts! The Mosses and the Z Team have raised the bar for the rest of the Horse community.
.
Blessings to Ms. Ines. Zenyatta, could you ask our Divine Dottie to explain how the Woman of the Month is selected? Is Ms. Ines standing beside the horse she works with daily? GREAT PICTURE, Ms. Ines!! You can tell we gals who love Zenyatta also LOVE FOOD – and have our recipe books out waiting to record how to make Ines’ no-bake cookies! A facial or haircut, an award, and MIKE SMITH all in one day! Ines you lucky girl! :)
.
Mrs. Moss – you are loved for so many things but – in addition to FOOD, we LOVE THAT “Z” PIN! Since I first mentioned it in Zenyatta’s Diary the day after the Eclipse awards, barely a day goes by that I don’t think “hmmm .. Mrs. Moss’s “Z” pin sure would look good with that dress (or coat, or hat, or scarf).” THANK YOU, Mrs. Moss, for the effort you and Mr. Moss are putting into this effort. It can’t be easy because surely that stunner was designed by an exquisite artisan to make a special statement for you and the other ladies on your Team that wear one proudly. A similar pin, pendant, charm in a pretty replica has got to be a big undertaking and I for one (and so many others here) are VERY GRATEFUL!
.
Speaking of gratitude, another well-deserved thank you to our Divine Dottie, Voice of Zenyatta. Dottie – please write a book about how you manage to be so talented at so many things. You are a trendsetter and great business woman – an inspiration to women everywhere. It’s Dottie that is orchestrating this entire site and bringing a new dimension to Racing.

What a super post! The picture is beautiful. I don’t know which is smiling the most—-Zenyatta or Mrs. Moss! They seem to just glow in each other’s presence, and sometimes I feel as though they share the same soul. It was not merely a quirk a fate which entrusted Zenyatta to the Mosses and all of Team Z’s care!
I love the way Zenyatta is eyeing Bernardini’s gift. “Think there is anything edible in there? Possibly—pears!”
Good luck with the Zenyatta Lounge “drive” on Big ‘Cap Saturday!
