Your Mike had a great day of racing yesterday at Del Mar. it was nice weather for horses and humans alike. The Clement Hersch was a nice race but nothing like your feats of excitement. Not a terribly huge crowd either. Not like you used to generate.

Watch here: Rocco Dettori tries out his flying dismount after race against dad
By Lee Mottershead RacingPost 31 July 2017
At Ascot on Saturday, Frankie Dettori partnered Enable the wonder horse. At Ascot on Monday, he partnered Sheila the little horse.
On this occasion the aim was not to win the King George but to beat son Rocco. https://www.racingpost.com/news/news/frankie-and-rocco-get-an-early-taste-of-racecourse-competition/295122
Hi, Would love to visit Tasty’s son IYSD sometime. I knew Zenny at Hollywood park and visited her often. Followed Zenny and Tasty at Lane’s End. Was so sad when Tasty was found dead in her paddock in foal to Union Rags. I have tons of pix of them together (Z and T). I posted on IYSD ‘s site on the Forum and mentioned that we would like to visit him. Hope it can come about. Hope to see an update on Zenny and her new Princess. Saw Coz’s race. Was so happy for him. High hopes for Ziconic, too.
I live in SoCal and have a rescued broodmare. Addison’s Honor. She has a yearling colt born last year . and has a 4 month old filly now. His name is Big Red Valentine. Her filly is Piru Pi. Am grateful to Sheena for all osprey news. Am following all the Welsh and Scottish osprey nests.
Just a thought, Perhaps no new Zenyatta posts recently here as the Mosses just released a film about Zenyatta that Jerry produced.
Wishing all Southern Hemisphere horses a very Happy Birthday including the fabulous mares Winx and Black Caviar.Maybe American Pharoah can have an extra celebration?X
Juddmonte look to have another superstar on their hands Expert Eye wins the Vintage in devastating style and now is favourite for next year’s 2000 guineas. The old boy Breton Rock has just won the Lennox at 50-1 Andrea Atzeni on board both.Congratulations to connections of both horses.
A treble for Andrea Atzeni as he wins the Goodwood cup on the John Gosden trained Stradivarius.Big Orange ran his heart out to be 2nd on ground he didn’t care for.The St Leger next for the winner.Congratulations to all connections. The panama hats were out in full force.
Another win for the chestnut club. Stradi might get that cashmere coat from his granny, Urban Sea, although he also has chestnuts on his distaff. Damsire is a chestnut.
Did I read (or dream) that Ziconic was going to race soon?? Pls. let me know as I leave for Sierra camping on Saturday or Sunday this coming weekend. Thx!!
Hi everyone!
I’m so excited to see ZICONIC race tomorrow. Here’s hoping he gets a win. And COZ! Geez he was just smashing in his last start. Kudos to John, who had the patience to keep working with him.
The other thrill for me was watching ENABLE win the King George. I really loved her sire, Nathaniel and was so delighted for him and his daughter’s connections. Also how McCraken came back to almost get the Haskell. He was my Derby horse and I really like his trainer, Ian Wilkes.
Has anyone been listening to Switching Leads on blog radio? It stars Steve Haskin and has been just fantastic. It’s on Thursday nights @ 8 pm ET and what I love about it is that it’s just real people talking about thoroughbreds. You get to find out what many really famous trainers are really like and I’m learning so much by listening every week. You can also listen after the fact because all shows are posted. Here’s the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/switchingleadshorseracingshow
Here’s hoping we get some new photos of Zenny and her filly. I miss the connection of not seeing regular posts anymore!!!
Love to all, kisses to my Big Girl and her family. Z Princess and Baby Boy — you are always in my heart.
Wow, another BRILLIANT article! What a great tribute to the sublime Holy Bull. Loved reading this, and the videos are wonderful. Especially enjoyed the July 2012 Parade at Darley — the Bull was dancing for his admiring audience! :-) He was an absolutely gorgeous creature no matter what the shade from dark to light (chiaroscuro?)
Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. Thanks, also, for the link to Switching Leads! I will try to remember to check this site.

Wonder if Biscuits will send Gun Runner some mane products to make him well groomed in the winners circle?
Was thinking the same thing about JV and Patch. The good news is that Tyler Gaffalione rode him before in the Louisiana Derby when they finished 2nd. Godspeed all; safe and sound.
