Alys captured these great shots of Zenyatta enjoying one of many snowy winter days. We shared one on Instagram (follow us @teamzenyatta), but we saved the rest for the weekend.
Beautiful, beautiful Queen Z. She is simply gorgeous in all weather, but the snow in the background makes her even more so, with the contrast in colors. Kisses to you, dear Zenny! Thanks so much for keeping us up to date. We hope soon to hear of another little one to come.
Dear Kathy.Late again,as usual,my cousin and granddaughters called earlier and.of course,we talked about the festival! What a race yesterday with the novice Coneygree winning. He had a great welcome back to his stables,it’s really wonderful for a smaller stable and they only paid £3000 for his mum.If only Lord Oaksey could have been there.I’m glad you enjoyed the story about those beautiful dutch dogs,I was scrolling through the daily mail last night and came across it.We have been promised colder weather this weekend.AP is in Uttoxeter today.Miss Kitty’s mum is so exhausted I do hope she gets better and poor Zoe lost her cousin yesterday only 5yrs such beautiful words. Both Finn and Penster have granulated! Can’t wait for Thursday!Boo and Buddy looked particularly adorable today.Have to visit the rest now.Have a wonderful day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Were’nt the new pics of Zenyatta stunning? The camera loves her!!
Working today. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday. All seems well in FB furbaby land for the most part. Enjoy the day and take care. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.
Thank you so much to Alys for these stunning pictures!! Was off the grid yesterday so this is a great surprise. Zenyatta looks like she is really enjoying all of that snow, and those trees are gorgeous! Looking forward to hearing news of her visit to War Front. Thanks as always to Team Z and everyone at Lane’s End for their loving care of our Snow Queen and for keeping all of us in the loop. <3
Zenny running in the snow, what a lovely way to start the day. She looks sensational and nothing better for her than a nice cold day….our horses used to race around the pasture on days like this….they loved the cold and snow. She always seems to have that eye on the camera, her “public” is watching, LOL. So soon we will know if she is pregnant with a new baby, I do so hope it is another filly, but whatever it is it will be loved like all her babies. Kisses on your nose, beautiful girl, and to COZ, ZI, and angel Princess and my beloved Indy.
Wanted to stop a moment and say Thank You so much for your part as Breeder of Our Great Champion Charismatic as I have been remembering him also on his Birthday yesterday. Thank You not only for this but the wonderful horses you’ve help bring us Gabbiano by War Pass being one of them. And, for this absolutely beautiful farm Lane’s End as pictured above with our love Zenyatta.
I am praying so hard that we one day get Charismatic home from Japan and I’ll forever say Thank You to the Good Lord and Chris Antley for saving this great champion.
So Thankful for your life Mr Farish and for all the goodness you’ve done.
Ironically, he lost his Triple Crown bid in 1999 when Lemon Drop Kid won the Belmont. Kid’s breeder is also William S. Farish. The Kid retired to Lane’s End.
Would love to see Charismatic join Silver Charm at Old Friends. Can’t think of Charismatic without remembering Chris Antley, one of the best. Love and Hugs, JB
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Dear Max, Shirlee, Judy
That would just be a dream come true if Charismatic could come home to Old Friends and be with Silver Charm. Could you imagine everyone that would want to see him. Such a close descendant of Secretariat and Northern Dancer. He’s getting on up there in age and I am just so praying so hard we can get him back. I am just so nervous and hoping there was a clause in his contract that we can get him back.
We missed getting Sunday Silence back. Just so praying we can get Charismatic back.
Sue Fredrick Happy as a lark
Dear Judy and Peggy,
When I visited Old Friends Michael told us he was constantly working with those is Japan to get our Charismatic back. He is one of Michael’s favs and says they will consider it after his stud career is over. I don’t know if they are still using him or he is pensioned but my money is on Michael he is amazing. hugs

Dear Sweet Sue and Z Fans:
Yes, with MB working on it, there is a true possibility that Charismatic with come back to Kentucky. The link posted below has a photo of C, Empire Maker, Henny Huges and other stallions in Japan taken a year ago. C is 20 years ol now. I have not been able to find any info on C being pensioned. Love and Hugs, JB
TVG has stopped producing The Horizon which was on HRTV Saturday and Sunday mornings. It was one of the best shows on the network for learning about individual horses before they made their first start. Zoe and Brad were a fantastic team and their observations on the horses were informative and insightful with a splash of humor.
From HRTV: As you mentioned we have removed a number of shows from HRTV.com streaming package, for the next few months we are reviewing and upgrading everything that HRTV.com streaming has to offer.
I’d like to encourage everyone who enjoyed The Horizon and would like to see it return to contact TVG and ask that they start producing the show again.
I sent off my e-mail for what it is worth.
Not only did we lose the Horizon, but we lost the major races that have been
moved over to TVG. So I am done with watching and following the sport with the exception of Bloodhorse.
Hi Especially Horses: I’m also a member of Zenny’s Tribe on Facebook. We’re about 250 strong & are composing a group letter to TVG through our FB page administrator. Did you also know that if you live in Canada, like me, you can’t get either TVG or TwinSpires? So my only visual contact with American horse racing was the old HRTV, that I could get live on my computer. So I’m just devastated!
Abigail…I didn’t know their was a Zeny’s Tribe on Facebook. And I know you must be feeling so frustrated as am I. I can’t stand all the “betting” talk from TVG.
Janet….right! We lost the major races from Santa Anita!!! How ironic.
Congratulations to Willie Mullins and the short guy top trainer and jockey at the festival.Willie creating history with 8 winners!!Coneygree has come out of his race well and eaten apples out of his Gold Cup!Sheena.
I saw that photo of C eating his apples from the Gold Cup. They were nicely sliced up for him. Read that his trainer said that C is a Jekyll & Hyde character, nice and docile one minute, biting and kicking the next. Cool!
zenyatta is priceless such a wonderful image for the racing industry on tvg/hrtv need to bring backgrandstand laffit and kurt and horizon zoe and brad don’t need to lose fans sorry if off topic
Simply beautiful pictures.. Zenyatta really seems to enjoy the snow. And she still shows her beautiful dapples through her winter coat. A lot horses don’t show dapples until they shed out completely in the late spring or early summer.
On the day Team Z posted these photos (March 13) it was exactly first e years to the day that the Queen won the Santa Margarita Handicap (March 13, 2010) I was there and took some wonderful photos of her in the paddock doing her dance. Wonderful memories and I thank Team Z and Lanes End every day for keeping us in the loop.
Rosemary, What a thrill for you to have been there when Zenyatta won the Santa Margarita! Thank you for sharing this memory. Would have ‘loved’ to have seen her there at that moment. God’s blessings to you. with love, Elizabeth
Dear Max.Willie Mullins is 20-1 to win all 4 majors at the festival next year. With his fabulous team I could see it happening! Can you imagine Don Poli and Vautour taking each other on in the Gold cup???I am getting excited already!Sheena.
Saw that. Mullins might have had 9 wins this year had Champagne Fever not been scratched because of that bite. Willie will have to get those biters under control or at least make them refrain from biting other horses. Is it on to Punchestown now?
Here are more new arrivals from Thoroughbred Foals.com. There’s a Take Charge Indy, a Lonhro, an Animal Kingdom and a Fort Larned among them. Toooo cute. Love and Hugs, JB
You’re so welcome. Can’t get enough of these baby photos. All just adorable. Lonhro’s little filly is in full running mode; all four feet off the ground. She must be a handful already. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy.Something new is going on with FB and Nissy has lot about 60 “likes”!He also had to visit the doc again and his white blood cell count is up.He is on antibiotics now and asking for prayers!!I put a message in for him.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Wow! American Pharoah put on a show in the Rebel. He sure came back from injury with a bang. Glad for Mr. Zayat. Have been a big fan of his since Paynter.

Thanks so much. She always seems to have a curious, pleasant expression.
