Alys captured these great shots of Zenyatta enjoying one of many snowy winter days. We shared one on Instagram (follow us @teamzenyatta), but we saved the rest for the weekend.
Hi Max.That’s wonderful news about Moosie. As you know we always love to support the underdog in the UK and Moose has had masses of support.I expect you’ve heard Don Poli and Vautour are entered in the Ryanair at Fairyhouse over Easter.I am not too keen on the Fly running in France it’s a much longer race and I’m sure you remember what happened to Dawn Run in 1986.Willie’s dad Paddy hadn’t wanted her to run but Charmian did of course.Monty needs to get back to the Dyfi to take care of his nest after the break-in.So much damage and for what??Sheena.
That Moose is amazing. Let’s hope that he doesn’t influence too many chasers to follow his example. There is room in the celebrity horsey pantheon for only one Moose.
I trust Mullins as he would only do what is best for The Fly. The Fly first raced in France at the beginning of his career. Seems like The Fly has the stamina to make the distance. In the recent pre Cheltenham video, he was only too eager to take a big chunk out of Ricci. RR wisely backed off before The Fly could get a choke hold. Short guy may be next on his bite list. Stay clear of Un Atout too.

I know that’s how they do things for the Dubai trips, but I hate that Chromie had to travel all that way without any of his own peeps on the plane. Alan left the day before so that he would be there to meet him when the plane lands. Godspeed Chromie! Show ’em how it’s done and come back safe! <3
Goodnight. Yes, great pity. Hopefully the Dyfi will carry on and be ready for the arrival of Glesni, Monty and their family. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap, Herc, Frank and all the Sweeties
Don’t give up. We have been up against stone walls before and had no one to tell us what to do. Stay away from self-condemnation. It is designed to tear down our interest and vision. When a person loses interest, he loses his ability to see solutions.
Be quiet. Excess noise, too much talk, and too little rest only adds to the confusion. Most likely something will whisper to use reason-whose reason? The wrong reason may be the cause of most of our trouble. And that wrong reason may have come because we did not first ask Asga Ya Galun lati-the One who knows.
May the Lord bring you out of all your troubles.Trust your course with Him.

Love this devotional, Kathy. It is so true. Early, before dawn, there is such peace. In the quiet is the best time to listen to God – before the day ‘gets going’, If I miss this time, my day usually doesn’t seem to go as well. Many of God’s blessings to you today and to everyone here in Zenny’s fan family and of course to our beloved Zenyatta and the rest of her family – human and equine. with love – Elizabeth
Pennmarydel (Barbaro’s big little brother) had a second gate work on the 11th. He is another big guy like Beastie and Dortmond. We have been waiting almost 2 years for him to run. Also, the last of Barbaro’s brothers!
Dear Kathy.Oh,the dawn is the most beautiful time of the day!Sadly,I tend to miss it nowadays! But will always remember my early mornings with Katie. The live streaming is back on the Dyfi but no sound yet.Thank God there are volunteers there 24/7 when the eggs arrive.Monty would be very angry!!!Good news about Miss Kitty she has a urinary tract infection and is on pain meds and antibiotics also a relaxant so she can pee her bladder is sore and swollen. She is,also, not absorbing enough protein from her food so will be put on a special diet from Royal Canin. They will see in about 6 months if that works but all her organs are healthy so momma is happy.Zoe had a great day visiting yesterday will hear all about it Thursday.Oh the new ratties arrive tomorrow and FM is on safari! It was Mango’s gotcha day yesterday they were remembering the meeting at the airport and she was tanking God for the best Mommy in the world!!The kitchen looks lovely.Sadly, she lost 2 furrends Scooter(remember he got thrown out of a moving car) and Casey there was much leaky eyes!Such a wonderful story on Joey and a little boy and a cat with no eyes!I was full of smiles!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly, Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Loki is doing very well these days too!

Wiseman’s Ferry, Sire of Wise Dan, Dies
By Ron Mitchell, The Blood-Horse March 18, 2015
Wiseman’s Ferry, the sire of two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan, died March 17 at Dana Point Farm near Lenhartsville, Pa.
Dana Point Farm manager Maria Vorhauer said a necropsy is being performed to determine the cause of death of the 16-year-old son of Hennessy.

Very sad about this news. The Ferry was a very nice horse. He was unfortunately always in the shadow of Galileo as a race horse, but he overcame that by being sire to the most interesting horse in the world. Riding the River is another good horse by The Ferry. RTR is trained by the same guy who was first responsible for Mine That Bird. Too young to leave us. Hard to accept these losses.

From article:
The Royal trip makes a turn south on Friday, as Prince Charles and Camilla are set to visit Louisville and get a first-hand look at the city’s sustainability initiatives and public health programs, two causes close to the Prince of Wales’ heart. As avid equestrians, their visit to the horse capital of the world could not be complete without a visit to Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby. The Prince’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, attended the Derby in 2007 to witness Street Sense capture the roses http://www.horseracingnation.com/news/Prince_Charles_to_Visit_Louisville_Churchill_Downs_123#

It’s great to see pics of Zenny enjoying the snow. Thank you Alys and Team Z for posting them & sharing them with us.
So sad to hear of the passing of Wise Dan’s sire. We have lost another good one…
Carol, How is your rehab coming? Do you have a tentative date of when you will be able to go home yet? I hope it is soon.
The place where I go to physical therapy has the best ice packs & I had always wanted one in the past. They’re selling them now so I was able to buy one this time. It cost $15, but is well worth it. It’s a large size & is big enough to use on a horse if I needed to.
I am scheduled to go back to work next Thursday. I was supposed to be out only 6 weeks, but it will be 9 by the time I go back to work. Although I’d like to stay out longer, I can’t afford to with getting only 1/2 pay. I am thankful that I am getting that; there are many people that don’t get paid when they don’t work.
Marshall, how are the dogs getting along? Has Hobo been adopted? I have been praying for him & hope that he has. The woman who fostered Honeygirl, the first rescue I adopted now has a male named Yogie, who I really like. Lucky for him, she will keep him until she finds a good forever home for him. I wish I could afford a third dog…
Amy had surgery on her left hind leg again today. I will be doing physical therapy on her once her incision heals to try to get her to use her that leg again.
Safe trips & good luck to all the horses racing this week. This goes for all horses from the claimers to the horses in the big stakes races…
Donna, So glad you are better. Praying for Amy that her leg will heal well and quickly. It sounds like your PT is going well. God’s blessings to you for healing for you and for Amy. with love Elizabeth
Dear Donna Z.,
Hope Amy improves quickly with the physical therapy and that she will use that hind leg properly again. Best Healing Wishes to her!
Glad that you are doing well. Healing Wishes to you, too!
Bailey and Huey are doing quite well together. Bailey is a sweet gem of a girl and very energetic. I am sorry to report that I don’t know anything more about Hobo. I was checking the shelter website until one day he was not there — I can only hope that he was adopted, but I was afraid to call for fear that he was euthanized. I feel guilty and sad that I could not handle three 50 lb. dogs. Timing is everything.
How lucky that you found Honeygirl — lucky for both of you. I am glad that Yogie is safe until he finds a home, too.
Thanks for the reminder of Back Flip… I do remember seeing the little one do her back flip. Bless her sweet heart. I do hope she does well and has a safe trip.
Inspiring story, Judy. Thanks for posting. We hear names off and on, but it’s nice to finally learn someone’s history. Mr. Jerkens led an interesting and inspirational life. Hope you have a wonderful day and it’s ‘warmer’ there. with love, Elizabeth
Believe or not, they’re forecasting 1 to 3 inches of snow tomorrow. Spring, where are you?
I followed Mr. Jerkens career and his horses as they raced mostly in New York and especially when he had entries during Saratoga meets and I always admired and respected him as a trainer. Seemed like a genuinely good person too. Love and Hugs, JB

Inspiring story, Judy. Thanks for posting. We hear names off and on, but it’s nice to finally learn someone’s history. Mr. Jerkens led an interesting and inspirational life. Hope you have a wonderful day and it’s ‘warmer’ there. with love, Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth:
Believe or not, they’re forecasting 1 to 3 inches of snow tomorrow. Spring, where are you?
I followed Mr. Jerkens career and his horses as they raced mostly in New York and especially when he had entries during Saratoga meets and I always admired and respected him as a trainer. Seemed like a genuinely good person too. Love and Hugs, JB
