Alys captured these great shots of Zenyatta enjoying one of many snowy winter days. We shared one on Instagram (follow us @teamzenyatta), but we saved the rest for the weekend.
We need something to stoke our fire, to stir us into action. If we sit all day and wonder why life is passing us by, it is probably because we gave so little enthusiasm.
Lack of enthusiasm can be the result of fear-fear of disappointment, fear of what others will think or say. But on the other hand, who cares what someone might say? That is their problem, not ours.
It may seem easier not to count on anything, but if we take the time to study a situation to see what we can do, it could be worth a few disappointments to just see our own grit and enthusiasm to tackle it.
We have borne everything patiently for this long time.

Claiborne says Lea arrived safely in Dubai and was in his stall. Wish they would post a picture as Victor did of CC. Love CC, but guys gotta go with the beautiful Lea since I have been a fan for 3 years now! If Lea, cannot do it, Go Chromie!
Just looked at who is running. Lots of prime quality chestnuts in that race. Like Chromie but Lea has always impressed me since he ran against the Danimal. A very good horse. He might just kick some butt.
Dear Kathy.Yes,I’ve just seen them!!!All cuties but I think my favourite is Milo so far.Marty must be so happy that his internashunal bizness is in safe paws.We are going to have a lot of fun.I have been on Kauto’s twitter loads of birthday greetings but he had a link to a wonderful story about a foal called Gizmo(I remember seeing the story in H&H and I felt so sad)he was only about 4 months and callously dumped on the roadside to die.He is at the Catley Cross Vet’s clinic if you look on their FB you’ll see his story .The response from the public has been enormous and he is getting much better(not right just yet). He’s sooo sweet.Poor Miss Kitty wasn’t feeling so well yesterday crying when momma petted her!Hope she will improve.Judy (Mango’s mum)was upset too she has to haves braces on her upper and lower jaw oh bless her!!a little dog is to have a cart in memory of a little girl Cherie who died aged 9 and 1/2 she had spina bifida.Have to visit the rest now.Busy morning shopping and I’m not an early girl like you!I did see Zoe in her raincoat and her yard was flooded!!!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Can’t wait to see how the ratties’ personalities are developed. I think we’re in for a very good time! Gizmo’s story sounds just so sad. How can people mistreat animals? They’re all innocents. I join you in hoping Miss Kitty improves! Nice gesture to honor the memory of Cherie. Zoe is as adorable as always. We should have therapy visit reports today. Yay! Have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

Dear Judy B.,
A very Happy Birthday to Papa Charlie! Hope you had a wonderful day celebrating the fabulous Charlie! Did he enjoy his cake?
Hugs and Love
Thank you so much for your Birthday wishes for Papa Charlie.
The cake was only a partial success. He had his teeth floated and was not happy about it, so he had to have extra tranquilizer. Poor baby. He was out of it for quite a while and by the time I was able to give him the cake, I was not happy with the texture of the oats; they had become soggy and sticky. I made the cake yesterday and that didn’t help matters either.
Angela and I felt it best to just give him the garnishes on top of the cake; muffin treats and carrots. We sang Happy Birthday to him and he seemed to enjoy that, then I gave him a lot more carrots and mints. Here’s photos of Charlie and another one of his cake. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy B.,
Charlie is such a sweetie and handsome, too! The cake looks yummy — sorry that poor Charlie had to have extra tranquilizer and couldn’t enjoy the cake; however, I am glad that you had plenty of carrots and mints, and of course, the Happy Birthday song serenade. Sounds like lots of fun!

Few people go through life without some kind of trauma. But everyone doesn’t react the same way. Certain experiences are magnified by pain and kept alive by distressed memory-so hostile conditioning is the result. Our own included.
Nothing is ever fixed by glossing it over or covering it up. We cannot change what has already happened, but we can lessen the effect by putting it in perspective. It happened, it hurt, it still hurts. Talking about it makes it more vivid-but writing it in a personal journal takes it out of us and puts it somewhere else. Seeing it in black and white brings it into focus-and ultimately helps heal our wounds.
