New pictures of you enjoying a bath were just what I needed to give me a big smile after a stressful day at work. You look absolutely wonderful! Thank you, Alys & Lanes End.
Judy B, thank you for the link on the previous posting about Lady Eli’s progress.
I am very happy that Lola Mae got a good report from her doctor.
May all horses & riders stay safe this weekend as they run in both the big & not so big races.
when I first saw you, years ago now, I thought you were the most beautiful horse I’d ever seen. All this time, and you still are – the most beautiful horse I’ve ever seen!
Stay well, looking forward to your new foal in the Spring.
Oh, such a lovely treat for Friday. Thank you for these photos of our beautiful Zenyatta. She is just picture perfect and appears to enjoy her cooling bath on a hot and sultry summer day.
Zenny you look beautyfull when bath, blue skyes green trees green grass lil fountain of clean cool water, Zenny try to keep quiet joyfull way of horse life long time, Coz and Zi for that part like is available in sport life have bath and quiet rest on air and on green grass, Zenny if you allow, many races, safe distance carefull choosing of way well feeling of four legs of horse in stride soft or sloppy course is convenient for health of horses, safe travels to all horses and jockeys, beautyfull Zenny Zi Coz and mates kiss your soft noses
Good morning Zenyatta Family – hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday! Zenny, I don’t see how it’s possible that you look more beautiful than ever! Could you please share a few beauty tips? On our home front – we have at least 3 families with baby quail showing up everyday at the ‘breakfast bar’ in the back yard. One family has 22 babies! Their quail parents are so cute and protective – what a job – herding all those babies who are running every which way! The misbehaving squirrel babies and roadrunner teenagers are fun (and sometimes frustrating) to watch. They come racing in – scattering whoever’s at breakfast! When we have good Spring-times with lots of rain, many of the critter families have more babies (and this is the most rain in spring/summer seasons we remember). Loved catching up on everyone’s posts the past few days. Lots of exciting races this coming weekend! Zenny, rewatched some of your early races – still as thrilling as ever – if not more so now! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! with love, Elizabeth

No wonder fear throws a wrench in our well-laid plans. We have been relying on dead gods, on lifeless theories and trying to fit our keys into corroded locks.
This isn’t living, it is throwing in with empty promises with nothing to back them up. Here we are, spiritual creations, trying to survive on mental and physical remedies, never considering that we have access to treasuries of ideas and wisdom and spiritual knowledge. These are the appointment makers that say, “go here, go there,” and we can go in confidence.
Spirit, come out of your web of supposed protection and begin to use the gifts. They are yours and they are beautiful beyond the reasoning human mind.
I am you! I am yourself! Don’t let me waste upon the shelf.

Thank you for the wonderful photos of Zenyatta’s summer bath! I can just imagine how cooling that must have been after the high temperatures this season has brought us. She is always the most beautiful wondermare ever and I’m so grateful you are continuing to share her life with those of us who love her from far away. Thanks!!
Thank You TEAM Z for posting these Beautiful pics of the Queen! It is rather H & H everyone, try to stay cool as you can be! Be Safe ALL racing this weekend!!
Dear Kathy. So sorry you have to work this Saturday!I was surprised to hear about Hawley D.He didn’t look as if he’d been ill age I guess.Frankie is having a glorious Goodwood 5 wins so far, sunny there today. Her Majesty’s Dartmouth has just won but a lot of interference!Naughty Olivier!Heard a Texas man paid $350,000 to kill a black rhino and another Texas guy is seriously injured when the bullet ricocheted off an Armadilla and hit him in the face! They’ve also named an Alison Reynolds who loves to hunt with a bow and arrow.Celyn carried a spent cartridge back to the nest a warning maybe??It was really lovely to see Zenyatta looking sooo beautiful and to know she is surrounded by love and kindness.Have a great Saturday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Dear Faithful Zenyatta Supporter.I am sure you know of my love for all animals and have signed several petitions concerning Cecil the lion. His roar will never be silenced!!Sheena.
A fine win for Legatissimo in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.By Danehill Dancer out of Yummy Mummy(love the name)she won our 1000 guineas under Ryan Moore back in the spring. She was ridden by Wayne Lordan today.A really beautiful filly.Today we say goodbye to our champion flat jockey Richard Hughes who will now embark on a training career.Sheena.
You all, If you don’t mind, someone please post the race results for the Jim Dandy. I have checked all the Comcast channels available here and also looked on the computer. There is no coverage for any of todays races and it takes forever for Bloodhorse to post the results and videos. Thanks! Go Beautiful Red!
Shirley, I think if you go to nyra.com you can at least hear the races, and they put up the replay videos very quickly. It’s down to a four horse field with some of the originals defecting to the Haskell tomorrow. Frosted vs Texas Red should be very interesting – I’m really torn on this one!

I totally agree with you Denise! I have probably watched horse racing(Derby, etc.) for well over 50 years on tv but because of Zenyatta and her peeps I have learned so much about the life of horse racing! I am so grateful! Thank you!
It’s getting too much for me now .Poachers have shot Cecil’s brother Jericho at 4pm this afternoon!I am beginning to loathe some of the” human” race.Heartbroken.RIP Jericho.I hope they all rot in hell.Sheena.
Hopefully Jericho may be still alive.News from those tracking him said his GPS collar was giving out signals after reports of his shooting.Praying he is safe and well.Sheena
Sheena. You should rely for news about these lions from the Oxford University website for their conservation unit. They’ve been tracking these lions for 7 or 8 years. They say that the GPS for Jericho is submitting data as usual. They think that he’s alive. Don’t rely on anything coming out of Zimbabwe. That country is no friend of the U.S.
Listening to the Saratoga live feed. Don’t know if I got this right, but the broadcasters were talking about the Vanderbuilt and The Beast and they said he was scratched from the Belmont Sprint because they couldn’t get him to Belmont; he wouldn’t get on the van. He must be channeling Hudson. She missed a show in July because she wouldn’t load. Godspeed Beastie. It’s coming up now. Love and Hugs, JB
Photo finish in the Vanderbuilt between Rock Fall and The Beast. Thrilling finish.
Tough loss for Beastie; they called it Rock Fall. Great effort Big Guy. Love and Hugs, JB
Judy,
Thanks for the info. Max will really be upset about the Beastie losing like that.
Just got a notice from my virtual stable that Ziconic had another work. Looks like he might be on the way to a start. 49.49 for a breeze and 4 furlongs (I think.)
I’m never upset by anything that the Beast does. There is always next time.
shirleeinindy
Max, I have come to be very fond of the Beast since you brought him to our attention. At least he didn’t dump Johnny V on his bottom. Love that he refused to get on the van. I think that Fair Hill does that to them. Horsey paradise. Big D’s last brother to Barbaro, Pennmarydel, is running tomorrow and has done all of his training at Fair Hill. He, like the Beastie, is a very big boy and handsome too.
Max
Javier is The Beast’s regular jockey, so that The Beast must have wondered why Javier was on Rock Fall. The Beast seems to have the same attitude to Uncle Johnny as Dan. Maybe time to go back to Javier?
That must have been some scene at Fair Hill with The Beast and the van. I guess even the pony could not get him to load. Glad that they didn’t force him, but then it’s very hard to do when a horse is 18 hands.
Look luck to Penn. He is a handsome horse. Would like to see him win for you and Big D.
