It seems it is going to be like the year with Zenyatta and RA were both up for HOY.
Rightfully AP should get HOY as a TC winner. Beholder has demonstrated a solid body of work over 5 years, who knows this maybe the first year they have co- HOY like they had
two winners of the Travers and two canoes in the lake. It is going to be a heavy debate, AP needs to win the BCC and beat older horses. His recent loss made him a horse and not perfect, did not go against him at all.
Perception can be very wise but reading between the lines in other people’s lives is only guesswork. By rationalizing and putting two and two together it can almost be assumed that something is a certain way, right? Wrong.
People identify with other people because of their likenesses-but there is nothing new under the sun. Human nature is human nature and will stay that way until we all stand close enough to the divine.
We are ever so much better served not to guess about other people. And we are better people when we mind our own business.

Dear Kathy.Certainly we are better when we mind our own business. What others say and do should be of no interest to us.I am late today it would be my parents’s anniversary today(74yrs) and my granddad’s birthday tomorrow so have taken flowers up for them.We have escaped the heavy rain in the west today!!!Heard there were floods in Utah and a Dorset fireman was helping out in Lake County (am I right) such devastation with the fires there. There were reports on our news channels last night. It’s a strange story about Mr No Ears I found the FB page of the woman who has taken him she lives in Porto,he looks quite happy but he had a good life in Albufeira with Lyn and his carers. They are trying to get him back a lot going on behind the scenes I think.I wish I could speak Portugese I have no idea what’s she is talking about. Her name is Andreia Paulo. As long as he’s happy. They have nearly finished the sanctuary now.Wimbley is like me I won’t share my teddy either! Thanks for the gorgeous cat and kitten. The Secret Gesture appeal begins today and Steve Cauthen is an expert witness. The Simple Verse appeal tomorrow.Love Victor’s moves!!!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar..SheenaXOXO.
Dear Sheena,
Today was my grandparents’ anniversary, too — they were married in 1914. I can’t believe that they would have been 121 years old this year; they died in 1975, two months apart.
Glad the heavy rains missed you.
Hugs and Love
Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to your parents and grandfather in heaven. Bless you for taking them flowers. You are a good daughter/granddaughter! Yes, the flooding in Utah was terrible. Some poor woman in the LA area is about to lose her home. Her back yard and the ground under her house gave way yesterday morning with all the heavy rain we had. The Lake fire up north has burned so much forest and so many homes. Just terrible. Wow, that Mr No Ears story is weird! I hope he is truly happy. I sure love the pics of the ratties with their teddy bears. Too cute! You’re welcome for the cat and kitten pic. We’ll have to keep track of the Secret Gesture and Simple Verse appeals. Poor Secret Gesture…being demoted from first to third just isn’t right! I didn’t see Victor dancing. Will look it up on YouTube. Have a good Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
It looks like our prayers have been answered. Cooler weather and some rain expected up in the mountains just may turn the tide and help firefighters put an end to the Valley fire and the Butte fire. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see all the destruction. To see the faces of people who have lost everything. In the blink of an eye, an entire town is gone. I have very little myself, but made a large donation to the Red Cross. My eyes have been watering from both the smoke and tears, for a week. The Sacramento area has been engulfed in smoke for days. I pray all those people have the strength to face the hardships ahead.
My mom said looters have been spotted. I have other prayers for them!
Dear Lynn,
I do hope the cooler weather and rain work to extinguish the awful infernos. Keeping those poor victims, both human and other species, in thoughts and prayers.
God Bless.

Judy,
Nice looking big girl. He seems to have better luck with fillies than colts! Could be I am a little partial since I am such a fan of Valentina.
Yes, she’s a beauty. Maybe when Bernie’s girls have foals, one of them will be a colt with his racing talent.
Bernie has had some success with his boys with good earnings records: Stay Thirsty (l.9M+), Wilburn (586+), Algorithms (301K), Alpha (1M+), Arthurs Tale (400K+), Biondetti (359K+), Imperative (1M+) to name just a few. Some of his boys are millionaires and six figure winners in Japan and Australia too. Love and Hugs, JB
Just read your post about CC and the DWC. Personally, I hope he recovers completely and races in the States. First and foremost, hope he’s safe an sound always. Love him.
Left you a reply post on COZ and ZI. I was just having fun. No rivalry between them. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy,
Dr. Bralmage said a full recovery for him should be no problem and Taylor Made
felt because of his “old time ” sturdy structure they would like to give him back to Art to race him in the US. I don’t think Art was oposed last year to the World Cup. One thing I read in an article that Art said that I did not think of CC had a 5 month lay off between DWC and Arlington Million, and to run against all of those top notch horses was also a bad decision so actually this bone bruise has saved him from running in two situations that would have probably not been best for him. He is getting the time to be a horse time he needs and should have a good 5 year old campaign directed by Art. Taylor Made has his best interests at heart they are all horse men. I think this is a good thing.
Love and hugs
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Tizgood:
Happy CC will stay with Art S. and wish him a happy, successful 5 year old campaign. Love and Hugs, JB
Tizgood
He is supposed to return to Art the end of October and Art can do all that he planned last year in the US before and after the DWC. He had everything planned with layoffs after the WC and races after. Horses are much stronger at 5 also.

Dear Sheena,
I thought it was longer than 4.5. It looked like 10 to me. 6 is more like. She is in top form

Tapit colt out of mare related to KY derby winner Winning Colors purchased by Mandy Pope $2.4 million. Bob Baffert was bidding but said Mandy was “locked and loaded” to buy him. Where does she get her money???
Dear Judy,
Bloodhorse finally posted a photo, he is gorgeous, but has a short neck. Mandy also bought a Street Cry filly out of a tiznow mare. She has a relative
to this filly so went all out to get her, a little over a million. All of these
Book 1 horses are so besutiful and perfect conformation wise, great walk, presence and attitude.

Dear Judy. The video of Treve is on her FB.You could try you-tube.It’s to celebrate the website getting 100,000 followers.Mr No Ears is still with this woman from Porto.I have seen her FB and he looks quite happy.Only it’s all in portugese!!!I hope he can be returned to the colony though it’s the only life he has ever known.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Just watched the video of Victor Espinoza on Dancing with the Stars- I think he should have gotten a better score. Salsa is very hard, getting the hip action correct with the music is difficult and I think he made a great effort. I am not his grestest fan either. He was very enthusiastic and his confidence and being “first out of the gate” really helped him. He needs to get rid of the boots. Great hip action. He has a lot of potential hope he gets a chance. I also hope she does not get an early loss as she is really great. Colors looked good, liked the sequined helmet.
We all know the difference between right and wrong. Even without teaching there is an innate knowing that reminds us when we have overstepped our right or someone else’s.
Every time we prefer not to keep a law or a rule we say it was put in place to punish us. But it really says to go this way and you will be protected, like driving the right way on a one-way street. But natural laws are for our good as well. They are reflections of spiritual laws and should be revered.
Respect for ourselves and for others covers a multitude of rules. Akin to love, it saves a person from himself.
When people come to trouble it is better for both parties to come together without arms, to talk it over, and find some peaceful way to settle.

Dear Kathy.Lovely devotional. No news yet of Mr No Ears returning .Andreia seems to be involved with animals she has many pics of cats on her FB.Did you see the poor Kitty who got burned in a house fire They are hoping to find the owners and a guy died at the wheel of his truck I think and his dog Whizzer escaped it was posted on Joey’s page. There is a lot of talk about this “unlike” on FB no need for it really sense can tell you not to read a story you don’t care for. Some sad stories are really difficult to “like” but you can always put a comment in.Wimbley is wise he needs a snack when he is finking on the roof.Judy is having a difficult journey to Carolina and Nay allowed mango to stay up she went to sleep on the floor!Dolly may pop up later.Computer problems maybe.Kimberly is better Fubu seems good lately.I had no idea that Grumpy cat is worth $100 million now! Was’nt Ray’s tail so floofy? It’s quite cool here today but still dry.Hope you are still getting some in CA.Have a great Friday eve.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.
Come back, Mr No Ears! I did see that poor cat in the fires. Praying he will be okay. I saw the post about Whizzer, praying he is found. I see no need for that “unlike” button. You know people will misuse that! Wimbley is so funny. When in doubt have a snack, right? Not sure why Judy doesn’t stay home for awhile. She needs some rest! Poor Mango…sleeping on the floor is rough! I hope we hear from Dolly soon. There’s always some problem going on over there. Glad Fubu is doing well. Wow…Grumpy Cat is worth $100 million??? That’s crazy. That was a great shot of Ray’s tail. Any Golden I ever say had a much skinnier tail. Maybe Mama moussed his tail for that pic. lol There is a chill in the air here today. Fall is just around the corner. Have a lovely day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Check out DoxiePanda’s newest video on the National Zoo FB page. Mei took Mr. Growlypants out of the den for a very brief (2 seconds) time today. I think she wanted to see if there was anyplace safe in the indoor exhibit area she could bring him while she eats her bamboo because she’s been cutting her meals short to hurry back to the den and pick him up. He is VERY demanding! While Mei is gone the cub does 360s on the floor to occupy his time, grumbling the whole time she’s away. Mei has started to bring stalks of bamboo into the den with her to snack on during the night, and he doesn’t like that either! Poor Mei can’t win with this cub. I wonder what the Chinese word for “Grumpy” is because that would be a perfect name for him!
I’ve been following the Mosses purchases @ Keeneland too. I’m a bit surprised at the number of colts they’ve bought. But here’s what I found up until yesterday (Wednesday, Sept 16):
Uncle Mo x Royal Irish Lass colt for $300,00
Lemon Drop Kid x Onza colt for $150,000
Quality Road x Victoria Colt for $225,000
Shackleford X She’s Picky colt for $250,000
Candy Ride x Street Talk by Street Cry filly for $250,000
Wow, thanks Abigail.
Uncle Mo! SHACK!!! All great champs and the mares with some great bloodlines, too.
Ahhhh, , the Street Cry mare, very nice. Bet that is one beautiful filly.
Very exciting. Congrats to them on this fantastic group.
Hear Texas Red is out for the rest of 2015 with a cannon bone bruise and Empire Maker is to return to the US for 2016.!I am sure you will all be pleased.Sheena.
Dear Deb E.Mei certainly has her paws full with Mr Grumpy!!He’s growing so fast now and getting sooo cuddly.Won’t be long before he weighs 2lbs.hugs Sheena.
Dear Judy.It seems this young woman in Portugal Andreia took Mr No Ears while she was in Albufeira on holiday. She is giving him morphine now and he is clear of cancer!!She lost a relative to cancer this year so maybe is obsessed with the disease. He is so used to his colony and was more than well cared for. It’s a worry.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
I was wondering if anyone heard anything about Ziconic, and when he might have his first race? Tapit’s usually race at two, and at the farm, they said he was a worker, and even raced in his sleep. He also looked all business on the track at Belmont.

OK, forgive me if some feel this is too early but, the discussion for HOY has shifted to include our beloved Beholder should she win the Classic. Some sources feel winning the TC should not be the determining factor this year, due to the quality of the horses entered etc. Her consistent and powerful wins this past year has dramatically elevated her status. We know of course, who she just might be compared to in our eyes. She too, is in her prime at age 5 and knows no fear. Her owners are humble and grateful and want the best for her. Goosebumps. Dear Judy,
Bloodhorse finally posted a photo, he is gorgeous, but has a short neck. Mandy also bought a Street Cry filly out of a tiznow mare. She has a relative
to this filly so went all out to get her, a little over a million. All of these
Book 1 horses are so besutiful and perfect conformation wise, great walk, presence and attitude.

September 17 Cherokee Devotional

Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Come back, Mr No Ears!

I was wondering if anyone heard anything about Ziconic, and when he might have his first race? Tapit’s usually race at two, and at the farm, they said he was a worker, and even raced in his sleep. He also looked all business on the track at Belmont.
