Dear Max.I knew you would disagree on the pacemaker issue,We have no problem with them in the UK.If I remember correctly Coolmore had 2 or 3 in the Juddmonte the year Frankel ran.Sir Henry used Bullet Train because Frankel was such a fizzy horse it helped him to settle in a race.I doubt Gleneagles would come out to the US.I am not sure what Aidan has planned for him.Sad news about Tortilas getting withdrawn from the Euro championship.Calls for his retirement now.He should still be with Gal.That emu gets a good life with Frankie I should imagine.Sheena.
There is another reason for not using a pacemaker. It is demoralizing for the pacemaker. All horses want to win. They race to win. They are God’s creatures, all of them. They are self aware. Forcing any of them to lose so that another predetermined horse can win is not good for a horse.
I agree with you, Max, they give it their all and then they’re made to ease up. Has to be very confusing for them. Don’t like the practice. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Judy, Thank you so much for posting The Bloodhorse article on The Million. I’m looking so forward to this race. I’m pulling big time for Maverick Wave. Going to be so interesting as He likes to run on the front and from what I’ve seen they seem to just let him usually just take off. Now, with the rabbit in there for Big Blue Kitten. He’s probably going to be on the front. So this is going to be exciting. I am hoping Maverick Wave can repeat his performance that he had in the, I believe it was the Huxley. He got up there at the end and won it.
But, there are a lot of very good horses in there. Good Luck to Every Horse and Rider and to everyone’s Favorites.
You’re so welcome. Should be a very exciting Million. So many wonderful horses. I read that they are planning to use rabbit for Big Blue. Godspeed all; safe and sound. Love and Hugs, JB

I went back and read your response,,thanks for letting me know I can tell people to find your heartfelt article on The Vault about Hale and the horses rescued and the many more that need our help.I am trying to find a way to make a monthly donation and intend to do so- a small initial donation is just the start..Every little bit counts,I can do something. I will never forget the videos I saw, seeing their amazing energy and spirit and naming these horses and donkeys makes it all so much more real. The injustice and tragedy of so many equines in peril really hit home to my very core. Thank-you for motivating me to reach out to help and for informing us all.
Dear Mario, wishing you a very Happy Birthday!!! Zenyatta loves you so much and would be over the moon to see you. I hope you will be allowed to make a visit to her before the year is over I am so happy Ziconic is with you,you spend more time with him than anyone else and ensure his happiness and well-being. You are the best, hope you had a very special day!
Hope others saw the ABC special on Cecil the lion tonight. It shed more light on the continued investigation and how his tracking collar was moved by humans many times as a cover up. This is not the first time this dentist has been in trouble. Was accused of inappropriate behavior with a patient, as well as prior hunting violations. Jericho may have moved on to another pride. No sign if him now. So sad. Good news that Cozzie had a work today though. Have a feeling from Zi’s twitter page he may make his first start in in the Fall. Wow!
I saw the 60 min special on him called: The Hunter becomes the Hunted. They just said that Jericho has taken the cubs as his own. I didn’t hear anything about him moving to another pride.

Yes, Jericho did at first stay to protect the cubs, one of which was killed by a rival male lion to be expected. They said he has not been seen for several days and that he may have moved on. So glad many groups are on board to stop this from happening.

horses. What a blustering pace he set 21 and change. And he won them some money. Agree with you Big Blue ran out of ground, just needed a little bit more.

Dear Sheena,
Such lovely photos of Monty and Glesni today, especially Monty, his wings
fully spred in full flight and Glesni making a landing. She may leave this week,
is the weather clearing. It will be so sad, what a sucessful breeding season they have had, three healthy chicks.

Thank you for the photos. He sure is a beauty. Looks as if he didn’t want to get his tootsies wet in that puddle. Definitely has mom’s dance moves.

Dear Deb E.While waiting for our cubs Yang Guang in Edinburgh has been celebrating his 12th birthday with an iced cake and a dip in his pool,Hugs Sheena.
Deb E.
I saw that! He is too cute! I just checked in on gorgeous Mei and she’s asleep on top of her “mountain” in her indoor enclosure. I’m hoping she’ll have a cub around my birthday the first week of September, but sooner is good, too!

To Heidik
Yes, Jericho did at first stay to protect the cubs, one of which was killed by a rival male lion to be expected. They said he has not been seen for several days and that he may have moved on. So glad many groups are on board to stop this from happening.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Faithful Zenyatta Supporter.Jericho is still with the pride caring for the cubs. The little one who died was most probably predated by a hyena. We heard the story in the daily mirror and it was all a rumour,Sheena.

Bravo Pizza Man. No pacemaker just an excellent delivery which steals the show. Have to say however that Copper and Kitten ran a very good race. The racing gods just decided to give it to the hard working PM.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
Yes, they all ran really hard and gave it their all. Exciting finish. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Just ab. Agree. It was a good race by all. A little worried about Peggy’s choice. He finished last. Think that he was eased up. Hope that he’s okay.
Max
Sorry about that JudyB. My iPad turned your name into Just ab. Crazy.

Dear Max:
Oh, the wonders of technology. My i-phone just freezes up every now and then and I have to reset everything.
Yes, I’m worried about Peggy’s Maverick Wave too. Race notes say he was vanned off. Hope he’s OK. Love and Hugs, JB
Tizgood
Dear Judy,
The Ramsey have purchased a great pacemaker, he may become one of their race
horses. What a blustering pace he set 21 and change. And he won them some money. Agree with you Big Blue ran out of ground, just needed a little bit more.
As all of the announcers said Copper helped all of the closers including The Pizza
Man. Glad for all of the Illinois fans they were all going crazy !!!! Wish Big Blue would have won, though.
Love and hugs
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Tizgood:
Copper almost pulled it off. His connections should give him a chance to do his own thing; talented boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Sheena, so you ‘re saying there is no way to know which news source is correct. Personally. I trust our own ABC until proved otherwise. Everything on Google supports the same information. Personally, I want them to be wrong. I hope you’re right.
