Feeling so bad for Mango’s family right now. We knew it was coming, but still intensely sad and upsetting. I know they will bounce back but it will take some time. Oh, I missed that Zoe said it was Wednesday, I’ll go back and look at that. lol She does take the best selfies out there. I’ll be sure and look at Julie’s posts. Sorry I have been away for so long. I was going through some of my Las Vegas stuff and found a program from a Rodney Dangerfield show that I saw. Here are a few examples of his jokes. I get no respect. I made a toast on my wife’s birthday “To the best woman a man ever had. The waiter joined in.” Even when I was a kid I got no respect. One time I was kidnapped, and the kidnappers sent my parents a note which read “we want $5,000 or you WILL see you kid again.”

Other people’s opinions are simply a view, not a verdict. A certain type of personality wants his view to be the effective one-the one that says what should be valid and what should be invalid. But even if he was right for the moment, does he have to be right forever?
Listen, we can change. Any of us. It is our privilege to put down the old nature and to take on the new. It will be suspect-things like that always are. But St. Paul was a rascal until he made a change one day. We can do that-and we can move out of the range of those who will not accept the change. Seems that it would be the best revenge to be good even though the skeptics raise their eyebrows.

Dear Kathy.Loving the devotional.Happy 1st day of fall to you or autumn as we say.I have always been a Spring person new life, and the return of the ospreys Fr3 is at last on the move through and Fr4 has reached the Gambia.I am late today so only have visited a few furbabies.Sadly,no news about Mr No Ears this Andreia thinks she is helping him and the ridiculous woman is treating him for bone cancer and drugging him. They (his carers)posted a report from the vet saying he is cancer free.He has a skin complaint which they treat regularly but otherwise is healthy.Mango is going to post from the swing today lots of tears there and they got beautiful flowers from Donna.Fubu sent me loads of Persian kissies. He seems to be doing quite well recently paws crossed.Daddy had to babysit Zoe last night.I haven’t seen a Zoeism yet.I have seen that video of the puppy on the freeway before. It always shocks me to see so many cars just passing by.Mr Fibbs likes Kermit and likes to stay organized.A good tip for internashunal biznessmen.Enjoy your day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
I’m running late, too! My favorite season is spring too, followed by fall. Don’t care very much for summer or winter. Different strokes for different folks, right? Poor Mr No Ears, how did he end up with this Andreia woman? Still saying lots of prayers for Mango’s family. I know they are still so heartbroken. Amazing to think Fubu is still here. Felt bad for Zoe not getting to accompany Mommy yesterday. I know Zoe loves Daddy too, but I think she’s a Mommy’s girl. I saw that video of the puppy on the freeway. Thank God it was a happy ending! Victor E. got booted from Dancing With the Stars last night ( it was double elimination week), so he can get back to getting Pharoah ready for the BC Classic. Adios, Victor!
Their last dance was hot and they need to all be sent a copy of the jockey calendar. The judges are really not aware how athletic jockeys are and so glad
Victor got to show his chest. He is very strong although he is small. I guess his average score was lowest and he did not have a lot of basics. GREAT JOB VICTOR YOU REALLY ARE A NICE GUY- just curb your whip use !!!!
shirleeinindy
Tizgood,
I think what caused Victor to get the boot was the fact that there are not many people who really knew who he was. I agree that most people, including the judges, don’t know how athletic jockeys have to be. I saw an article that said pound for pound they were more fit than almost all other athletes. Also, glad he has learned to lay off the ship!
pamhomeier
I remember watching “Wide World of Sports” many years ago and they were talking about who were the most athletic. Somebody said soccer players are always in tremendous shape – can go forever, and someone else piped up that male ballet dancers are also in great shape. I think I might have to agree with them. After watching some of the training clips of some jockeys I have to include them, too.
Temp is 61 degrees this morning and the sun is shining. Love this time of year. The photos of Zenny are so special. Seeing John and Zenny together made me tear up. Loved seeing the Pope travel in a Fiat instead of a stretch limo. While watching the British Baking Show they showed a meadow covered in yellow flowers. Are those Hovis’ yellow perils? For two days I was starving for trifle or floating islands. Not on my diet, not that I would ever attempt to make those dishes myself.
Love seeing the beautiful Zenyatta. Glad she got to visit with her old friends. She looks so peaceful and content. Very Queen-like, or is it just very Zenyatta-like? Love her bunches and am so looking forward to seeing her new baby…..girl? Hope so!
Dear Zenny’s Fan Family,
An update about Lilly’s son – 1st – thank you so much everyone for your kind comments and prayers when Lilly, our neighbor’s Momma Horse, passed away the 10th of this month after a lightning strike. It is still and will always be (in this life) so very sad. We miss Lilly so much.
Our neighbor quickly went on a search for a companion for Lilly’s son, Dusty, who of course was frantic when he lost his Momma. ‘Ben’ was found. Ben looks to be about 20 to 25 years old – not sure exactly. When our neighbor brought him home, Ben was quite skinny and has some health issues, but he immediately took to Dusty. Under our neighbor’s kind and expert care, Ben is already looking much better. The two `boys’ have fast become as close as brothers. If I’ve seen 2 sweeter faces, it’s only been Lilly’s face. The 2 of them are always together, and you can already see such love in their eyes for each other. They are always side by side. We are so thankful Dusty and Ben have been brought together. Please keep praying for our neighbor and her 2 ‘boys’.
with much love and ever so thankful for you all, Elizabeth
Very good to read this story of horse friendship and hope. Perhaps Lilly arranged this from above? May all go well for these two and those who mourn Lilly.
Dear Elizabeth. So happy to learn Dusty has a new friend. He must have missed his mum dreadfully. It’s lovely to hear Ben has found love and companionship too.I will keep the boys in my prayers.A light shining after the darkness.Love and hugs SheenaX

Butter Tub (a.k.a Gigantabelly) will be getting a visit from some V.I.P.s on Friday: Michelle Obama and the first lady of China will be visiting the Xiang-Tian house to see the whole family (except Tai, of course) and to make a very important announcement about the future of giant pandas at the National Zoo. All of us pandaholics are hoping China is going to let us keep at least one of the pandas if not all of them.
The Tub’s ears have opened, and he can hear now. I just looked in on him and the gorgeous Queen Mei and he looks so much bigger than yesterday! He resembles a small sized soccer ball with four fat legs, a head, and a tiny tail sticking out! The tail gets shorter in relation to his growth, and you can hardly see it any more. He’s very active and VERY demanding! Poor Mei is exhausted.
Some wonderful shots of beautiful horses in The Week In Photos for 9/14/15, including a jockey in No. 15; a congratulatory soaking on winning her first race. Enjoy. Love and Hugs, JB

Songbird Meets Familiar Foes in Chandelier
HorseRacingNation.com September 23, 2015
Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer’s undefeated Songbird will face Bob Baffert’s Pretty N Cool as well as Doug O’Neill’s Land Over Sea among a field of nine 2-year-old fillies Saturday in the Grade I, $300,000 Chandelier Stakes at going 1 1/16 miles.
Songbird, owned by Fox Hill Farms, will be seeking her third win in a row. After breaking her maiden over the new dirt track at Del Mar by six and a half lengths on July 26, Songbird went on to win impressively once again as the nearly even money favorite in the Grade I, Del Mar Debutante on Sept. 5. The five and a quarter-length win prompted regular rider Mike Smith to note, “For a big mare, things just come so easy for her.” http://www.horseracingnation.com/news/Songbird_Meets_Familiar_Foes_in_Chandelier_123#
