All’s well with the FB furbabies. Marty is back from his space mission. He gets to name the Yogie planet. Someone suggested Planet Nom. Little Mango had a marvelous birthday celebration. They showed a rescued dog on Joey’s page who had been trapped in a business lot. Poor little thing had been well cared for but there was no name or address information. Poor little thing. I think Zoe’s FB “like counter” must be stuck. She HAS to have reached 10,700. Have a blessed Sabbath. I’m off tomorrow for Columbus Day. Yay! Hugs and love from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.
On this day in 1984,at 2.54am,a bomb exploded at the Grand hotel,Brighton. It was timed to cause the maximum amount of casualties and damage. It’s intent,to kill our then Prime Minister the RT.Hon Margaret Thatcher and her cabinet.Fortunately,Mrs Thatcher was still up writing her conference speech and escaped injury .All conflicts have to end with a certain amount of forgiveness but I cannot forget the horrors of the troubles nor the casualties both sides of the Irish sea.Patrick Magee the bomber walks the streets today living a normal life.30yrs on Lady Margaret Tebbit remains paralysed…..RIP all the innocent victims.Never forgotten.God bless you.Sheena.

Thanks for mentioning Canadian Thanksgiving It is tomorrow but we are celebrating tonight..Wishing all our American friends a Happy Columbus Day and hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
So happy to meet you,,Sheena, and so many wonderful people on this bog.
Love and hugs,Debbie
They all look so great! Princess Z is really big – she is Zenyatta’s Mini Me. I wanted to ask what type of racer will Coz be? Like Zenyatta – closer or a front runner?
Thanks for posting pictures of those two Princesses!
Very pretty gray won the first race at Keeneland today. He was spectacular. It was a claiming race. Said several trainers were trying to get him. Hope he went to a good one.
His name is Trawee
Oh my gosh. Was so excited with that race. How could I have missed that. I think I was just noticing how Pretty “she” was. dummy me. Better listen closer.
Max
Peggy. It was exciting. She won from the far outside gate. Very impressive. She really reminds me of Tasty. Lovely looking filly with a Whirlaway tail.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Peggy and Max:
Just watched Trawee’s win on Horse Races Now app. Wow, very impressive. She does remind me of TT. Beautiful little girl. Love and Hugs, JB
Wise Dan, Oh our boy. They sound like you might be back next year. So hope you stay sound. I have such mixed emotions. Is it selfish of us to deny you the leisure life of a beautiful farm. I think its just that we love you so and want to keep seeing you regularly.. I know I was so happy when I read what Charlie said in the article about a campaign next year. Dan love you so much want you to be healthy and happy and with us all for many years to come.
I was just posting about what he said at the end of that article. So ironic I was posting my thought right as you sent that through. I read it earlier too.
Peggy. Agree with all that you said. Dan’s a warrior. He loves to run. He should keep going as long as he is healthy. He also needs the money to keep himself in cashmere.
Please say many prayers for Night Prowler this Friday. I am worried but he’s got Javiar Costellano aboard. So So happy about that. Post l2, I don’t know what do you think. At least maybe he could stay maybe out of trouble out there. I wish that I had seen more of his Papa Giant’s Causeway races when he raced. Like to know the family traits.
So worried about this baby.
Peggy. Javier will look after him. No worries. Javier rides the Beast. His bro Abel rides with the Snake.
Giant’s Causeway was a great racer, until he met Tiznow in the Breeders Cup. No one not even Galileo could ever get the best of Tiz.
Dear Max.Great article on Dan.I hope he will stick to the turf,as you may know, I am not a great fan of the dirt! CDA is clear favourite for the Champion Stakes now with KH out as well and we are meant to have a very unsettled week so the ground will suit him and we mustn’t forget Noble Mission! The Mare Orphee des Blins(hope I got the name right)won the Pardubicka for the 3rd year in a row.Fantastic horse.Who knows, the Moose may be free soon!Sheena.
Sheena. American racing prefers dirt. All classic races are dirt races. The Breeders Cup Classic is always on dirt, which is why only one Euro horse has ever won. Dan however can run on any surface. He’s won on all three. It’s Morton Fink who wants him on the turf. One of the sisters of the most interesting horse in the world however seems to like dirt the best.
Moosie, kick beak butt.
Dear Sheena,Judy B.,Sandy (NE Ohio) and all,
Thank-you for your good wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to us north of the border.
So much to be thankful for and appreciate the opportunity to share with you over these last months.
Love and hugs,Debbie
Dear Max.Morton Fink is my kinda’ guy!I suppose in Europe we are so used to turf! Are you having a cake tomorrow for the Canadians special day and your Columbus day.It seems so strange that until the 15th century we didn’t even know you all existed in America! It’s concerning that a nurse has contracted the Ebola Virus in Dallas and,of course, in Spain too.The Moose must be freed at once!Sheena.
Sheena. There are a fair number of synthetic race tracks in the UK, but I guess that your classics and national hunt races work best on turf.
I’m having a pizza for Chris. Isn’t there a Coolmore horse called Christopho Columbo?
Ebola is nasty. I’ve been following its outbreaks for years. Hopefully those nurses will recover, as will all others. That Ashoka Mukpo is an interesting fellow. Has Brit mother who married a Buddhist monk. He was mentor to David Bowie among others.
Moosie, are you free yet?
Dear Max.There is a horse in Coolmore called Cristoforo Columbo,he’s 4 now,he’s already been beaten by Wise Dan.His only race this year was at the Curragh in April.I’m sure Chris will be happy you are having a pizza for him!!Did the decking ever get finished with you?Nissy’s peep has made a lovely soup and pumpkin pie, they are veggies like you.The Moose must be free!Sheena
Sheena. Deck is a sore subject. It was apparently done last week, but the equipment such as scaffolds and ladders is still there along with lawn furniture, lunch pails and fridges belonging to the “workers”. I’m giving them another week to clear out. Seems like they did a good job, although now it is too late to sit out there. I have to avoid unnecessary stress in prep for the flu season as I hate vaccinations. If I were a racehorse, I’d have to run without lasix.
Moosie, freedom is near.
Dear Kathy R.So happy to hear you are making such good progress with your little girl.I understand how frustrated you must feel ,one step forward 2 back but it will all take time.Have faith, she knows now how much she is loved and love conquers all.Hugs Sheena.
Please keep praying for Dubai. He’s not doing well. Angela treats one abscess and another one pops up. Will explain what we think happened to him in another post. So worried for him. He can’t stand up long enough to benefit from a epsom salt soak. He stands to eat a little and then lays down. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy B.,
Sending lots of prayers for recovery and lots of positive energy to Dubai. Sincerely hope those abscesses clear up soon, poor baby. Power up, TD!
Lots of Love and Hugs
Dear Max.Our flu vaccines started this month too.I am glad “the workers”seem to have had a good time at your place. You can now look forward to relaxing in the garden next spring.I would definitely advise against Lasix.!!!The Moose must be free.Sheena.
Sheena. I’m taking my chances. No flu shots. No experimental drugs. No pain medication. Had dental surgery and used ice cream as meds. Went to bed. Tough it out!
Free the Moose!

After speaking with the vet and backside personnel, we think that Dubai had lameness issues while he was racing. When Angela brought him home, having been told nothing of this by Dubai’s trainer, she let him run free in the ring the third day (9/20/14). He came up lame and its been a nightmare ever since. The abscesses are popping up at different areas on his foot. The dirt and grime from the track as he ran over it, must have entered the injection sites and they then became infected. Angela is doing everything she can to clean the wounds as the abscesses drain. He is on antibiotics and Bute for the pain. We hope and pray the bone does not become infected. Night Prowler is racing in Race 3 on Friday at Belmont Park. I am going to go back and look at some of Daddy Giant’s Causeway’s races. I met this son of his in Ocala in March. Anyway he is a beautiful Chestnut. Praying so hard Javiar takes care of him. Really worry about these first races for the babies. He’s 2
