Happy Thursday!
The 2013 Zenyatta.com Celebration details are finally here!
The Celebration will go live on Saturday November 2 at 12:00 am PST. We will publish a link to the special party page on Facebook, Twitter, and our homepage here at Zenyatta.com. At that time, bidding will be open on the items detailed below.
The Celebration page will also have the following features:
1. A live feed of fan photos. We welcome all photos that show us how you’re celebrating Zenyatta this weekend, from the races or from home! Add your photos to the feed by sharing them on Instagram with the hashtag #zenyattaparty2013. Read about setting up and using Instagram here. If you do not wish to use Instagram, email your photos to fans@zenyatta.com. We will post select photos throughout the weekend.
2. An oversized comment section for all-day discussion.
3. A Zenyatta Shop promo code for a discount on purchases made November 2nd and 3rd.
4. Most importantly, we’ve designed this special event to raise money for a wonderful cause. All proceeds from this weekend’s auctions and sales of our Celebration Stickers—available now at the Zenyatta Shop!—will be donated to Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc.
Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. is a CA Non-Profit and a Federal 501 (c)(3) Publicly Supported Organization operated solely by volunteers. They retrain horses for second careers and do an amazing job! Read more about their work at www.tbrci.org.
With this in mind, read on about the items we’re offering in the Celebration Auctions. Bidding will be open until 11:59 pm PST Sunday, November 3. Leave us a comment below if you have any questions about this weekend’s events.
Enjoy!

This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to have a chance by entering a drawing to have a once in a lifetime meeting with the Queen.
Thanks to Ann and Jerry Moss and Lane’s End for making this possible.
Ann Maree / Tennessee
Exciting….looking forward to it!
Margaret
That team photo was taken just hours before Z had her Tapit baby. I guess that was her gift to those who came to her party.

Just to be clear YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE to win the visit with Z. I think your purchase of the Z sticker becomes your entry. You can’t make repeated purchases–it will null and void your entry. Please make sure you read the rules.
This one isn’t be auctioned. Wow! Everyone gets an equal chance to win this.
Zenyatta's Web Team
Just to clarify, buying more than one sticker WILL NOT void your entry. Everyone who buys a sticker is guaranteed a spot in the lottery.
Buying more than one sticker will not increase your chances of winning, however it will support a wonderful organization!

Thank you for clarifying that :-)

I have not seen any posts from Zenyen. I always enjoyed reading her/his posts. Does anyone know what happened?

Thank you so much for offering the invitation to meet our Queen as a “sweepstakes” item rather than an auction item. I never would have been able to outbid the eventual winner without mortgaging my house! And I think the Celebration Sticker is a brilliant idea (kudos to whomever came up with that idea). I can’t wait to receive it and put it on my car (to go with my Zenyatta license plate!) Fingers crossed that my entry is picked. It would be a dream come true to meet Zenyatta. Thank you Team Z for all you do!

if anyone figures out how to enter the contest, please, pretty please….let me know…I have tried several different ways and can not find a way to the entry form
Sue Fl CPRC
what contest are you trying to enter?
Sue Fl CPRC
Are you talking about visiting Zenny? You have to purchase a sticker.
LeslieA
According to the contest rules, you are supposed to be able to enter WITHOUT buying a sticker. Buying a sticker gives you an AUTOMATIC entry. Rules say you can enter once a day….
Sally Blank (cherish Z for my lifetime)
Oh, perhaps I am just tired and older, but I thought I read with the rules that only one person with their personal email can enter one time, and if you enter more than once, all entries would be disqualified. At least this is how I read it.
I am so so excited to have another chance to see my cherished Queen, Z!!

Limit one (1) entry per person, per email address, and per household for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person, e-mail address, or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

I just found this link for you. Leslie you are correct I was not reading everything again.

I’m not a selfish person, but . . . PLEASE, Lord, let me win!!!!!
Sue Fl CPRC
Take me with you :)
Marilyn Morgan
I will. But if you win, take me with you. :)
Sue Fl CPRC
Sorry I just told Abigail she could come with me because they will not let the Canadians enter the contest. The T & C’s left them out.
suewVa
May I take a number, too? To the winner, if it’s not me, I travel light, know my place and promise to be on my best behavior if you want to take me as your second choice. OMG…this is a chance in a lifetime to be standing next to the real Queen of all our hearts, Zenyatta.
Sue Fredrick Happy as a lark
Thank you so much Mr & Mrs Moss, and Team Z for allowing many of us poor wretches the chance to win a visit with Her Majesty……what a treat. I ordered my sticker and am praying like many others that I win. Poor God, how is he possibly going to pick one, ha,ha. I get goose bumps just thinking of the possibility of meeting Zenny and Little Red. You people have done so much for horse racing by allowing us to stay involved in her life, everyone else should follow your lead. Would just like to add prayers for the safety of all horses and riders this weekend. hugs

I can’t enter the contest because it’s only open to residents of the USA! I’m so disappointed!!!! (Read it under Rules, Terms & Conditions)
I’m a little surprised to see that, considering that the winners pay their own transport & accommodations……
Yup — I’m sulking.
Sue Fl CPRC
If I win you can come with me.

SUE: THANK YOU!!!! That is so sweet it’s ridiculous. What a kind & generous thing to do. HUGS!

I thought this upcoming Breeders Cup was something exciting to look forward to, but Whewee! , being involved with the Celebration of Zenyatta and a chance to see Z and 13z has got my heart flippin! Too bad Coz has left for a big future; would have loved to see him. (I do not wish to come across greedy.)
Thank you Ann & Jerry Moss and Team Z for always thinking of us fans. You all have a heart so big and generous.
I just made my purchase for a celebration sticker! Not only am I elated to be entered to win this chance to be with Z, but I am glad to support your worthy cause.
I am not too computer savvy and I sure am getting nervous about following the Celebration Friday and Saturday, and wondering if I will know how to place a bid etc. Oh gee, I know I will be waking up tonight just thinking of this. hah
hugs and God bless you, God bless all the horses,
Sally B.

Very disappointed it’s only open to US residents. I live in Canada :( Doesn’t really make sense to me if the winner pays for their own hotel and travel. So upset. Hopefully in the future there will be a contest open to other countries too. :)

Our Zenny is loved around the world…I also wish everyone would have a chance to win a visit with her. If I’m the lucky winner, the biggest item on my bucket list is eliminated!

Thank you so very much for supporting TB rehab…this is such an important process for TBs who are no longer racing and/or breeding. I am in southern FL and volunteer at a horse rescue. The numbers of TBs who end up abandoned or sold at auction for slaughter infuriates and saddens all of us. So it is wonderful to see responsible TB owners who are working to change all of that. Thank you again.

Can we pair up to help some of the non Usa folks …..my hubby would not care…he is just not into horses ….so I could pair with someone

Re: The contest only being open to US citizens…
I think the concern is that the contract (Terms and Agreement) that people are signing is only valid for US citizens, it would not be legally binding between Team Z and a foreign citizen.
This would also possibly be the same for Lane’s End, depending upon the nature of any waiver or hold harmless paperwork they have for people to sign.

Goodnight. Sweet Dreams. Love you. Hugs, JB
Celeste_in_TX
Wheeee!!! The excitement is just so wonderful!! Not that I think there is much likelihood that my entry could be drawn for the grand prize visit with the Queen, but it just lifts my soul that Team Zenyatta, Ann and Jerry Moss are such generous and kind wonderful people to not only let us continue to follow her, but to offer up this great celebration and the opportunity to win a visit. Apologies to Abigail for such a long run-on sentence, but I tend to get carried away – lol! It is great to be supporting such a worthy cause and receiving the wonderful Z sticker in return, but I’m also looking forward to seeing what other fun things are in store for this planned celebration on-line. Thank you, thank you, thank you once again. To our non-USA friends, I am sorry you aren’t able to enter the contest at this time. Sorry to have babbled so much. Thanks!!

Dear Team Z,
I will like to buy, but I do not use my credit cards on any web, do you have an address where I can send the payment or a telephone number where I can place my order.
Thank you.

Hi & good nite zsters ♥
happy halloween queen z. i hope u & ur boys get lots of treats :)
Today, Vampressqueen, we believe God wants you to know that …
it’s okay to say no.
It is better to do a few things well than a bunch of things shoddily. If you are feeling overwhelmed, don’t take on anything more. It’s okay, and you might be giving someone else a chance to get involved. You don’t have to be all things to all people; a few things to a few people will be just fine.
@terry crow – loved ur story :) & funny joke
@sally blank- glad mia is ok & will cont topray for her recovery

Thanks for all the info. it all sounds exciting. Love you more each day dear Zenyatta. The breeders Cup time is a very exciting time for you my dear Queen.
Dawn Conrad / Colorado
Dearest Zenyatta and Team Z,
Thank you very much for this outstanding surprise!! Your generosity of spirit and joyful exuberance in keeping our beautiful Zenyatta’s legacy alive is appreciated beyond measure!! The kindness you show in allowing all of us who love her to continue to be a part of her life is wonderful. I will certainly be placing my entry into the sweepstakes and participating in the CELEBRATION throughout BC weekend. (Yippee!!) How very special that we will be supporting such a worthwhile cause as the Thoroughbred Rehab Center and the auction items are great.
I can’t believe that it is already one year since I was experiencing my first Breeder’s Cup and having an unforgettable time at the official Zenyatta Party. It was truly amazing!!!!! Being with Team Z, visiting Barn 55 and meeting my Z Dumpling friends from around the US face to face is something that will hold a very special place in my heart forever. I am so sorry that I will not be standing with all of you in front of Zenny’s statue again this year. I had planned to make the trip, but ended up going to the Secretariat Festival and the screening of the documentary for Penny Chenery instead. I had always wanted to meet her and Secretariat’s Team. It was remarkable! I know you will all have a terrific time together. I will miss you very much and will be thinking of you all. I’m already looking forward to BC 2014. Sending a hug and a kiss to everyone, especially to my forever love Zenny and her gorgeous boys. I thank you all for your fantastic friendships! Prayer’s for a safe weekend for all of the those participating in the races.
Bless you all, Dawn.

If the Breeders’ Cup isn’t enough excitement, read what Hovis has to say. Love.
The best to all horses and jockeys this weekend especially Danny and Paynter. Have a good weekend to Sheena and others in the center of the world as you recover from storms and to the rest of us Hovis fans in the ROTW.

Sheena. I bought both Hovis books at the same time. They are great, very nicely printed too. I was impressed by the service of that site. And the dollar was relatively good against the pound so that I paid less than had expected. I am worried about my Danny in the turf mile race. Concerned too for Paynter. Nerves are on edge. Then I am also worried about Moosie. However, Moosie knows when to call it. Any word from Steve?

We learn the hard way that time for ourselves is all-important. Personal time is as necessary as
eating right, resting well, and refusing to admit negative thoughts. Quality time is far more important than large quantities of time. How we use what we have makes all the difference.
Even a walk in the woods or in a park, or lunchtime spent near a flowing fountain can refresh; a weekend away may be a real treat. Quality time, for many people, also means quiet time-sitting, praying, or perhaps doing some kind of needlework or artwork that is calming and quieting.
Pay attention to what nourishes you in your personal time-then find ways of incorporating that into your schedule. When you take care of yourself, you will find not only that your life is more enjoyable but also that you make life more enjoyable for others as well.
