Hello fans,
Last year we held our first ever Zenyatta.com Celebration, and its success left us with no doubt about hosting it again. This event is about celebrating Zenyatta’s accomplishments on and off the track and this community of fans that has only grown since her retirement.
The next four days will be full of Zenyatta love! We’ve prepared a live feed of fan photos (contribute via Instagram or email), an oversized comment section for sharing and discussion, the 2014 Celebration Sticker, an auction of exclusive Zenyatta memorabilia, and our Grand Prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta.
The Celebration is four days only, October 31 through Monday November 3. During this time you can bid on all of the items listed below. Don’t forget to pick up your Celebration Sticker and be automatically entered to win An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta!
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. is a CA Non-Profit and a Federal 501 (c)(3) Publicly Supported Organization operated solely by volunteers. They retrain horses for second careers and do an amazing job. Read more about their work at www.tbrci.org.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we’ve received over the last two days.
With love,
-Team Z

I’d love to meet the Queen. I just wish she could meet the future lucky winners sooner rather than later. Zennie needs a lot of hugs, kisses, and attention right now and her loyal fans would help her in her time of sorrow (and ours).
Susan O
I was not meant to be at BC today. I wish I could stand in front of Z statue. Still in shock for loss. I pray the horses and jockeys, exercise riders, starter, gate guys, outriders, trainers, owners, grooms, fans, stay safe today. Amen
Kimberly
Still heartbroken.
maureen ph[llips
Ditto that, couldn’t even sleep. It is well.
suew/Va
Fingers crossed that I will get to meet our Queen by winning that prize. My heart is still heavy over the loss of Z Princess but it’s wise to remember the joy we experienced during the short time we had this precious girl.

Mr. & Mrs. Moss, Mr. & Mrs. Sherriffs, and all of Team Z and all who cared and loved Princess Z – Our deepest condolences for your loss. She will always be in our hearts !!!
maureen ph[llips
You couldn’t have said it any better, thanks, Hoping each day will bring us renewed comfort especially Ann Moss, may Gods Grace continue to cover her and comfort her. It is well.
Faithful Z Supporter
Hey everyone, let’s all rally around John this weekend especially now. I’m sure he’s aware of what’s happened recently and needs our support even more now. The Mosses Stanwyck is entered today race 9 in BC. And Nov. 1 is Mr Commons race 11. Let’s show our support for him and Dottie. Also, if you have TVG as I do and can’t watch BC, connect to the mobile SantaAnita site to watch all races live as it happens. It’s great!
Deb E.
HRTV’s Facebook page has a picture of Zenyatta’s statue with the base covered in bouquets of flowers in honor of Princess. I thought I’d managed to stop crying… I guess not.
suew/Va
Tears flowing in Va., too.
Barbara Wood
Deb, thanks for that comment. I am so glad the flowers were there. I didn’t see any closeups on NBCSports of the statue today. Maybe tomorrow, as we know they are doing a special report on Zenny, filmed earlier.
Ardrann
My love and prayers to all of Zenyatta’s family and many friends who love her and her wonderful filly and colts so much. So deeply sorry for the loss of the little princess. May God bless all of you and comfort you. As my father used to say, all creatures that God makes, He loves, and when they pass away, Jesus kisses them, gathers them in His arms, and takes them to Heaven. I am sure the little Z Princess was tenderly enfolded and gently carried there.

Dear Max.I am glad you posted Hovis today,he always cheers me.His poor feathers,he’s turned into a skinhead! He needs extensions badly.I haven’t knitted in years gone a bit rusty now. We’ve got jumps tomorrow Silviniaco Conti is running in the Charlie Hall and I read in H&H yesterday there is going to be a documentary about Frankel on telly just before RA next year.Unprecedented access to him and his connections.Somehow it seems wrong to celebrate this weekend but life goes on as they say.Good times and sad times what it’s all about really.Hopefully Brown Panther behaves tomorrow.Time the Moose was freed.Sheena.
Max
Sheena. I think that we can appreciate other horses even eccentric ones like the Panther as we continue to mourn the passing of the Princess. The important thing is to remember her as she was in the first blush of life. Life is very short for everyone. But she will be forever young.
By the way Owen is quoted as saying too many things such as strange rules and regulations, parades, noise from cheering Canadians, bugles blowing, etc., made the Panther “boil over'” in Toronto. Wonder what that horse will make of LA if he gets rattled by Woodbine. Dan loved the place.
sheena.davies(wales)
Congratulations to Hootenanny and Frankie winning the juvenile turf.Hugs Sheena.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Max.Ah,The British reserve!I think the Cheltenham festival is about the “loudest” I know. Canada and California must seem strange to BP!Frankie’s done a flying dismount!Lovely flowers around Z’s statue. The Moose must be freed.Sheena
Max
Heard that the flowers are mostly pink to honor the Princess. When I read the title line of Zenyatta’s blog on Wednesday, I initially thought that it was an update on the Princess and passing referred to some kind of award that 14 had received, like getting out of horsey kindergarten at Lane’s End and going into grade 1. Then it hit me.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Max:
I know. It was never anything any of us ever imagined would happen. As you said, life is short and unpredictable. She’ll always be our little Curly Mane.
When I was talking to the vet yesterday about Dubai, I asked her if she knew who Zenyatta was and she answerd, “Who doesn’t”. I then told her what happened to our Princess and she was shocked and so sad. Everyone at the barn is too. Love and Hugs,JB
Kathy
If only, Max…if only. Gone WAY too soon. I don’t think I’ll ever see a more lovely filly. I just keep asking “Why???”
Crystal
Saw Jerry Moss on NBCs coverage just before the Distaff. He looked happy, hopeful, but subdued still. Didn’t see Anne though. She may not have went. :c

Carol & Judy,
He has been one of my boys since this spring. Love the little guy as he always tries hard. Hoping all will go well with his surgery. I thought he had a real chance to win until he was injured.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island

Donna Z
I watched today’s Breeders’ Cup races on NBC Sports. They will be broadcasting tomorrow’s races as well on NBC Sports with the Classic on regular NBC.
Did anyone else see the interview with Lady Eli’s (the winner of the Juvenile Fillies Turf) owner when he said that he was inspired to get into racing by Zenyatta?! His silks are very similar to the Mosses’ & I did a double take when the camera showed Lady Eli for the first time on her way to the track before the race.
Prayers for safe trips for both horses & riders tomorrow & better luck to Mike with his mounts.
Judy B,
Glad to hear that Dubai is feeling much better with the new pain med. It’s great news that he doesn’t have any infection in his bone. I am praying that his last abscess will be gone soon & that he will make steady progress to being completely healthy again.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Donna:
Thank you. We are very hopeful that with time and care he will be fine. Love and Hugs, JB
shirleeinindy
Donna,
Saw the interview and like you was struck by how similar his colors were to the Mosses/

Peggy (N) South Georgia
Many prayers for safety for all horses and riders in the Breeders Cup. My hearts just so sad the excitement for it is just not there. I am excited about something this weekend though, very excited.. Our Church, I am Methodist. Every year our Church the First Sunday in November we have All Saints Sunday. Where we lift up and remember all Saints of every time and every place but especially those of our church that have passed away in the last year. It is a rememberance and a time to reflect on Heaven’s Gain. And a time to remember those that have gone before us. Candles are lit for those that have passed. Could not have come at a better time for me. First Sunday is also Communion Sunday also.
I will pray to the Good lord expecially for Z Princess on Sunday. There is no place on earth that I get the wonderful feeling that I get Kneeling at the Alter. As in the song that Judy posted You Raise Me Up referenced somtimes you get a glimpse of heaven. You do. The more I talk to the Good lord each day I understand more where she is. And I just love Church’s not only mine but looking at pictures of them, seeing them in towns I visit, the one in home alone with Macaully Caulkin on Christmas. There’s a beautiful Church in downtown Lexington that I saw from my hotel window, want to visti it. It was snowing a little that night and there was a horse drawn carriage on the street below and the church in the backgrond. Just beautiful. I am saying all this because its real and wonderful. I think God shows you wonderful things
He gave me the opportunity to know the beautiful Z Princess through the help of our wonderful Ann & Jerry, Dottie, John, and all of Team Z. I am so appreiciative for your continuing the Sharing of the Wonderful Zenyatta Family
Z Princess is Heavens Gain.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
My Dear Peggy:
Thank you for your very beautiful post. God Bless you. Love and Hugs, JB
maureen ph[llips
Thanks for the post too, the thread of thought so very articulate. Yes, our little Princess is Heaven’s gain, no better place to be, now she roams free and safe. It is well.
Kathleen
Thank you for this beautiful post. Like you and many others, I am devastated by the loss of our princess. Yet, as I reflect on her short life, she was a gift. We did not love her because of anything she did, but rather for who she was.
It is God who ultimately chose to call her home. I will be thankful for the time He gave her here. Just as I will thank Him for those who remain. I do pray for Jerry and Ann and all those who took care of her.
