Hello fans,
Last year we held our first ever Zenyatta.com Celebration, and its success left us with no doubt about hosting it again. This event is about celebrating Zenyatta’s accomplishments on and off the track and this community of fans that has only grown since her retirement.
The next four days will be full of Zenyatta love! We’ve prepared a live feed of fan photos (contribute via Instagram or email), an oversized comment section for sharing and discussion, the 2014 Celebration Sticker, an auction of exclusive Zenyatta memorabilia, and our Grand Prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta.
The Celebration is four days only, October 31 through Monday November 3. During this time you can bid on all of the items listed below. Don’t forget to pick up your Celebration Sticker and be automatically entered to win An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta!
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. is a CA Non-Profit and a Federal 501 (c)(3) Publicly Supported Organization operated solely by volunteers. They retrain horses for second careers and do an amazing job. Read more about their work at www.tbrci.org.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we’ve received over the last two days.
With love,
-Team Z

Z Princess lives on in our minds and hearts. She was so beautiful, had such grace. That curly mane and those gorgeous eyelashes. She left permanent hoof prints on our hearts. RIP Z Princess.

Beautifully said, Kathy. Inspiring way to start the day. God’s many blessings I pray to you and everyone here on Zenyatta’s website – especially you, Zenny, and your Cozmic One and Ziconic

HAPPY GUY FAWKES DAY my Welsh friend!
I’ve been watching a series called HINTERLAND on NETFLIX. It’s brilliant. (Mystery series that takes place in Wales with a very troubled detective — Season 1.) I’m hoping that they’ll make more than a single season and not dump it midway like they did with The Hour, which was SO GREAT!!!!

Enjoyed your post Sheena! Sally B
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Happy Guy Fawkes day. Mango is a very sensitive little girl. Poor monkey! Enjoyed Marty’s I Voted pic with the sticker on his cute little tail. The Republicans did very well. It will be tough-going for Obama. I know what you mean about the political broadcasts. Thank God that’s over for us. That was a really cute video of the cat and the toilet paper roll. I thought of your Katie, wondered if she did the same thing. Too funny. Dog fighting is horrible. So great 367 dogs were rescued. Happy birthday to Ray’s Gwampa. That is nice of Zoe to recognize the veterans. Have you seen her saluting? Too adorable. We all have veterans to thank for our precious freedom. Have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

Remembering back to the September 17th post showing Jeanne and April Mayberry so captivated by Z Princess. You could see they saw so much potential before them. Heartbreaking.

Dear Kathy
Those were lovely photos of Z Princess and Jean and April.
She has been captured thankfully in so many lovely shots.
Loved the devotional and have looked for the Cherokee Book of Days, there are several volumes, can you please remind me which one you have? Thanks,Debbie
Der Sheena,
Happy Guy Fawkes Day!! Hugs,Debbie
Kathy
Dear Debbie,
Yes, Z Princess will always be in all our hearts. All her pics were gorgeous.
Glad you loved the Devotional. I actually own all three volumes. The one I’m posting from now is Vol. I. In January I’ll go to Vol. 2, a year later Vol. 3. They are timeless so one could just keep rotating for a very long time.
Hugs, Kathy

We are anxiously waiting for any word on winners for meeting our Queen.
Those who are the lucky ones please let us know, OK?

I’m so very far behind on reading posts, so trying to catch up. Love the poem Elizabeth, so fitting.
I was right at the paddock when I saw the two year olds and when I saw Texas Red, I just went Wow. I can’t watch the two year olds race anymore, just too scary for me and didn’t bet of course. My heart pick was Texas Red. He will be one to watch. Amazing horse. Such an interesting tidbit that he ran with Coz.
Am I way off base about the Vox Populi? When does that come around. I believe California Chrome should be nominated and of course be the winner. He has done so much to re-ignite horse racing. The crowds went wild when he ran and in the paddock too. Just my opinion as Wise Dan is such a sentimental favorite too. Not trying to start a debate just stating how I feel. Still catching up on all the posts. .
Devastating news with regards to the Melbourne Cup. Rest in peace.

I believe your two choices are my choices too!!

Stanwyck sold for 2.4 million at Keeneland sale. Beautiful beautiful girl. The prices for the outstanding mares was amazing. I hate it that some are leaving the country. I would like to see Zenyatta visit Tapit again but the connections may have a new young stallion in mind. I know they will do whatever is best for Zenny.

Abigail,
Finally got up the nerve to read your beautiful article about The Princess. So well said.
I am still in shock and it just does not feel real that she is gone.

Dear Abigail.I am sure you will be happy to learn that a 2nd series of “Hinterland” has been commissioned. It’s set in Aberystwyth which is about 70 miles from me on the Cardiganshire coastline. The first series was shown on our welsh channel SC4 and was called”Y Gwyll”.Richard Harrington is mean and moody.I used to enjoy “The Hour” too but often these series are just cancelled.Glad to hear you enjoy our programmes.Hugs Sheena.

Hmmmmm, It is 4:32 p.m. in Wi. No news yet from Team Z as to who were the five finalist to see Z? This is suspenseful!!!! I keep thinking I have an equal chance just like any one else. Then I begin to think about the huge amount of fans Z has and the odds increase for sure. ha ha I truly am happy that Z is loved so much by so many!
The anticipation is far less stressful as when momma Z is expecting any hour!!!!!! Oh my God!
hugs to you all, Sally B
