Dear Kathy.Hope you enjoyed yourselves yesterday.Saw some fights at the sales! All the furbabies I have managed to visit are fine. Not much more news from Wookie last night he is on sedatives.Such a shame and not so long after his op.No news from Fubu either.Dolly looked so pretty in her dresses she enjoys Christmas and is looking forward to wearing her new frocks over the holidays.Wow the Tizzard horses are firing Thistlecrack won the long hurdle a new kid on the block!Keep on eating!!!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
We had a nice visit with Steve’s aunt and we had fun at dinner with our friends. We were tired last night, busy day! I saw the sale fights on the news. That’s terrible. I’m anxious for Wookie to get to see his internist on Monday. Wouldn’t you know he would get sick on an extra long holiday weekend?!! Thankfully Jill is a veterinarian and knows how to take care of him in the meantime. Dolly’s dresses are just gorgeous. I particularly like the pink and white one. Looks like fabric roses and the white skirt is very lacy looking. Congratulations to Thistlecrack and the other Tizzard horses. Happy Saturday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Cold wind and mist have pushed in to dampen the spirits of grownups-but not the children. These natural things are a part of their enjoyment during a Thanksgiving celebration.
The woods ring with voices and the sound of sword fights as rotten sticks collide in mid-air. No real duel could be this exciting or cause so many to roll in the leaves or to hide behind the gnarled wild rose.
Evening brings a rush of feet. Coyotes have set up their evening concert and the horned owl has squawled enough to impress them that it must be suppertime beside the fire. It has been a good day and something to remember thankfully.
I tell you my people, and I believe it, it is not wrong for us to get this food.

Dear Max.I am also catching up with posts and saw about the sudden passing of your dear friend.Life is so short and we must try to embrace every day.We know not when or why.It brought back memories of a close friend I lost many years ago.We were both 19 and the way she coped with her illness and death was nothing short of inspirational.Whenever things go wrong for me I always remember her sweet gentle face as I am sure you will recall great times with your friend. They live in our hearts forever.Hugs Sheena
Max
Appreciate your kindness. Looking at that above photo of Zenyatta also inspires some calm to accept what cannot ever be changed. My friend was a very committed Christian so that one takes solace that he has gone home.

Wow the greys are running well today!A superb display of jumping by Smad Place to win the Hennessy for Alan King and Wayne Hutchinson.Reminded me so much of our beloved Dessie in the 80’s! Then Grey Gold won for Jamie Moore and Kerry Lee.We adore our greys!Sheena.

Dear Sheena,
I found the article on Denman, too. What a lovely article and so glad he
is enjoying himself. He still has it when he is on the lead, Charlotte is a brave
and very good rider. Know what you mean about Kauto, not sure the best decision
was made for him, hind sight is always better. He is over the rainbow teaching all
of those youngsters how to be champions; maybe even teaching Z princess how to
jump !!!
Love and hugs

Dear Judy and Tizgood. It is a joy to see Denman so happy in his retirement.Ideal for an ex-chaser.We had a fantastic Hennessy too and Britain is leading in the Davis cup!!!!! Hugs Sheena
Tizgood
Dear Sheena,
And they never quite chasing even when the crowd is not cheering. I love
that part of the article when Charlotte says he takes off with her and is
jumping really big but he is a little confused as he does not hear the crowd
cheering in the background. Glad the Hennessy was fantastic and Brittain
is leading in the Davis cup. Now I am just waiting to hear about AP Mc Coy
on Vallegro for his next ride, ha ha !!!!! Have seen some of the previews
of Being AP and waiting for the video to come out here.

Tonalist a son of Tapit wins the Clark Handicap – in style with JV aboard and a new out fit
of blinkers. He came down the stretch like a freight train and looked gorgeous
in the winners circle. Thanks to his owners for letting him race for another year
instead of going to play with the girls. We may have an exciting handicap division.

Great video, Sophie !!!!
Tizgood
Tonalist is definately a quirky guy; characteristic of a great TB,
felt bad for Private Zone’s new trainer- he refused to breeze.
Some of these TB can be a challenge, even our Queen.
Mike said when ever she got “hot” JS made her stand and be quiet;
so that is when she started dancing. If she could not buck and rear
and carry on she would “dance”.
shirleeinindy
Thanks for the post, Sophia. I think Tonalist just runs when the spirit moves him. He seemed perfectly content to gallop along at the back until the rider used the whip. Impressive in closing to win.
Terry Crow
He seems to favor New York tracks.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee, TC and Z Fans:
TC, think you’re spot on; five of seven wins for Tonalist were at Belmont Park. The other two; one at Aqueduct and one at Gulfstream. Love and Hugs, JB
Ann NC
Thanks for that observation and those stats, JB and TC.
I can understand how he would take to Gulfstream. I am always amazed at the sandy grit flying at Gulfstream and think ouch! Tough bunch.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Sophia:
Thanks so much for posting this video. Congrats Tonalist; gorgeous boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Judy.Glad you got to see Denman. He’s really enjoying life.I watched the replay of his 2nd Hennessey in 2009 under top weight(this was after his heart problems). We were reminded so much of Dessie today seeing Smad Place win in the same fashion bold front running and jumping and behaving like a 2 year old after 3 miles in heavy ground. No amount of money can buy the joy I get watching a race such as that.Willie Mullins lost a grey horse at Fairyhouse today called Avilo I think. Not one of his best days.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Sheena:
Congrats to Smad Place. You describe your joy and love of seeing a race well run. Glad you enjoyed it so much.
Rest In Peace Avilo. Always so sad to lose one. Love and Hugs, JB
Tizgood
Dear Sheena,
Looking for the Hennessy video; Smad was amazing did not realize he ran in heavy ground that fast; and only 8 yo. That epiglottis surgery seems to be working well for those who need it. Must have been a very wild ride !!! Those jumps jockies are a very
brave group. We love our greys here, too. Mostly from Tapit.
Love and hugs

Dortmund wins emphatically – the Native Diver, he sits off the pace, for a while and the
blows by, what a huge talented boy.
Now onto the Malibu where he will meet Runhappy that will be a great race !!!!
Love and hugs

Congrats to Dortmond and his team. Gary seems to have “the touch” when it comes to these big guys and knows to hand ride them. Won the BC Classic with MMM this way.

So much agree with you Shirlee; GS rides thoses big boys well – hope Big Brown
gets a nice champion boy !!!

impressive. most impresseive. o’hara was determined to race and win rider or not. lol
Terry Crow
Thanks, JB. Brought back a lot of memories. Hard to believe that it was 48 years ago. I was reading some of the comments posted on you tuner and one caught my eye. Somebody asked ”
Didn’t the riderless horse win?” The reason for any DQ of a riderless horse is that the horse did not carry its assigned weight.

Dear BGG:
Thanks for this. Congrats Dortmund, beautiful boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Too much looking back robs us of our natural ability to change things. We are too good at finding reasons for failing, too well trained in using logic to work out our knotty decisions.
Every thinking, praying human being has access to supernatural answers to his problems, but he cannot use only human reason. And more than anything he must not give excuses or blame others for his own mistakes. Nor can we say that if we sit still long enough a miracle will happen. We have to use our minds and our hearts and our spirits-but we must also obey the rules.
Some of us seem to have a peculiar intuition.

Dear Kathy.A blessed Sabbath to you.Very stormy over here today but racing went ahead at Fairyhouse.Ryan was beaten a neck in the Japan Cup and Ed had no luck with Trip to Paris. He’s going to have a winter break now and be back next year.Poor Fubu must be so confused but he found his nippy stash!Zoe’s gators didn’t do well! The ratties got quite a few bargains on black Friday and spent fibe hours in a queue!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Please excuse me for being very, very excited but GREAT BRITAIN has just won the Davis Cup for the 1st time since 1936!!!!Andy Murray beat Belgium’s David Goffin in 3 sets to get a 3-1 lead.Nicola Sturgeon has tweeted tomorrow should be renamed St Andy’s Day.Well done Team GB!Huge congratulations to you all WOO-HOO!!!Sheena

Dear Sheena,
Big congratulations to Great Britain and Andy Murray on winning the Davis Cup!!
St. Andy’s Day indeed — long time since 1936.
Well done and a big WOO-HOO back at you, Sheena!

Sandy..Sorry I missed your birthday. Hope it was the best ever.

Dear Marshall and Sandy.A magical day for Great Britain and Andy Murray especially after his Wimbledon win a few years ago plus his Olympic gold in 2012.Of course the biggest event in his life will take place in February when he will became a daddy!Love and hugs back to youX

Ar least the Empire has not had so long a wait. Australia won it several times since 1936.

Dear Max.Thank you for the replays. Enjoyed them.I prefer the Irish and the French hurdles to ours.I have seen some nasty accidents.I am not sure when we will see Faugheen again and we have the Tingle Creek on Saturday.Remember the year Moose ran or rather didn’t!!!I do miss his antics. My friend was a committed Christian too. When she would hear her mother sobbing by her bedside she would tell her not to worry that she would be with Jesus soon.We will all meet again one day and find life was but a dream.Sheena
Max
That cloudy November race day in Ireland brought back memories of similar days in England in November.
Mullins was really surprised by Faugheen’s loss. I hope that it was just a one off. Annie is also delayed in her return because of minor problems. Haven’t heard anything of Abby either.
Here is an interesting development for you. Woodbine has announced that they will run their turf races clockwise next year. This should attract even more European horses to the turf which was already designed to be like an English turf course. I’m not sure how American and Canadian horses will take to this. Might not be a problem. There is no change to the races on the synthetic course.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Max.We have storm Clodagh to contend with this week.November is such a dark dreary month. But we have our fabulous jumpers to brighten our lives.Should be interesting about Canada. We do have left hand courses over here Epsom and York being the most famous and Cheltenham for me the jumps fanatic.Maybe you will get to see some more euros.I was surprised by Faugheen’s loss too It was thought to be an easy start to his season. He did look big and unfit
Hope he’s working hard to get the weight off.We shall see.Hugs Sheena
Max
He might have to emulate Al Kazeem and start running up and down some hills. Last that I heard of Al he was adjusting to his retired life. I hope that things go well for him this time. Some of his mares had foals from his previous stud career for The Queen. They are distinguished by their exceptional good looks. Few come more handsome than Al, the pride of Wales.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
Too bad Danny won’t have the chance to show them how it’s done; I’m sure the change wouldn’t be a problem for him. Love and Hugs, JB

JudyB. Danny owned Woodbine. And Woodbine loved Dan. It’s going to be very difficult for another horse to take away his records.

Dear Tiz:
Beautiful daughter of Curlin. Godspeed all; safe and sound. Love and Hugs, JB
Tizgood
Dear Judy,
Curlin’s. Fox lead fast fractions first 6 furlongs. She was a baby in this big grade one field and held her own. Think Hard Not To Like wants to be a mom, she was hesitant to go in the gate, JV dismounted and she went in; she had a bad stumble at the break and could never make up ground. Her last race the Rodeo she came in 5 th. Longshot 65 to 1 came in for the win with Kent D aboard she had not won in about her last 6 races. Paid over $100 to win. All came home safely.
Love and hugs
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Tiz:
Yes, Curlin’s Fox finished next to last out of a field of 14. Hope she’s OK.
Hard Not To Like had bad racing luck with that hard stumble at the start. Maybe next time beautiful girls. Love and Hugs, JB
