Last fall we held our fifth annual Zenyatta Celebration, raising over $20,000 for Thoroughbred Rehab Center Inc. Five participants were chosen in a random drawing to win the grand prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta. Each winner was invited to travel with a guest to Lane’s End Farm to meet Zenyatta and receive a tour of the farm. These photos document their visits. Photography by Alys Emson.

I’m thrilled to see the pics of our visit. That is Judith Berkshire Jones with me.
We visited on a very wet, windy, cold day but the moment we met Princess Z17 our hearts melted. What a sweet baby girl ? I hugged her and kissed her – I told her how much I love her and her mommy. She must have thought “who is this nut!” LOL
When Zenny saw us she strolled over from the other side of her paddock (which she shares with 2 other mares). Zen was loveable like always. The Mrs. Pastures Cookies helped (wink, wink).
Zenyatta rolled in the dirt for us but couldn’t quite roll all the way over ☺ When she got up and started walking away – back to the other side of her paddock – my eyes filled with tears. In my heart, I know I will never see her again. I said “Goodbye, Zenyatta! I love you!”
Thank you Team Z and Lane’s End for the visit. It was wonderful to see A.P. INDY in his paddock.

Beholder’s colt by Uncle Mo has a name! It’s QB One. The QB stands for Queen B and One is because he is her first foal.
I am anxiously awaiting to hear what your filly will be named, Zenyatta! I think she is absolutely beautiful and I hope that she will race at Saratoga someday so that I will be able to see her “in person”. I am a little envious of, but happy for, the fans who were able to meet her & you, Momma Z.
It’s wonderful to see that Coz looks very happy in his new career. I hope that little brother Ziconic is also doing well.
I want to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ZENYATTA!!! a little early as I will be very busy tomorrow. Happy Birthday to Ziconic, too. May this year be wonderful for both you.
