Hi Everyone,
As promised, we’re bringing you the latest updates on Zenyatta and Baby. Here’s a new shot of them enjoying the beautiful weather, captured for us by Jerry Moss. All is well, and they are both happy and healthy.
Many of you have been wondering about Tasty Temptation, so we asked Lane’s End for the lastest news. As of today, she still has not foaled.
We will keep you posted!

Thank you this is all we really need. Just a bit of information and a pic or two.
HE LOOKS LIKE HE IS THINKING ABOUT DANCING.
What a cutie the prince is.
love to all

PS Thanks for the update from Lane’s End. We are hopeless addicts for information and photos of our Queen Zenyatta. She fills our hearts and souls with joy. She is more than a mortal horse as she is our queen and unicorn. She is the muse of thousands who have been inspired by her persona. Through her eyes we can experience Zennyland, where the mythical and real have united. And she has inspired so many people to reach for the stars.
We are extremely grateful for these efforts to keep us all updated. Thanks again to the Mosses, to Lanes’ End and to Dottie and John Sherriffs.

Beautifully said!

Terri, it could not have been said more eloquently! Zenyatta gives all of us a place to gather and share true joy. She is a gentle soul, surrounded by a loving team of people, and that love has spread like wildfire to thousands of people who would not have known any of this particular happiness had it not been for one amazing horse named Zenyatta.I think that the way so many people feel for Zenyatta could is so much greater than could have ever been anticipated.
Sierra is happy again!
I thought that I would re-post this here for anyone who wanted to read it particularly Lisag whom I think did not get to see this as she had requested it:
I will post my actual post later to thank the mosses but I thought I would post this first:
As request by Lisag I have written another poem
Time
Sometimes it goes by too fast
Other times it goes too slow
But sometimes we want it to pause
Each minute and second that goes by
Is important
We can learn from every tick of the clock
But will we?
Will we learn to listen to what time tells us?
I don’t know
But I do know there is one
One who listens to time
She teaches us with each and every post
Telling us how great she is
Living life to the fullest
Zenyatta alone knows
That each second is precious
Each breath she takes is sacred
She knows that life is not to be wasted
There is always something new to discover
Always something new to love
She knows that without time
We could not love
We would not meet all the people in our life
Without time we wouldn’t be
But the one thing that we know and she does not
Is that with every second she set foot on the track
We feel in love more and more
For every second she spent writing with her pal Dottie
We spent many more loving her
As we always will
Time cannot be paused
But in only one place
In our hearts

Sierra, that is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing your poetry. I did not go back to the previous post and read it there and it is wonderful – thanks!
Sierra is happy again!
Thank you so much Celeste! I think this may be my best poem yet!

Wonderful poem. It sort of reminds me just a little of e.e. cummings “I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart”. I think that every time I see Zenyatta. She does that for me even though I’ve never seen her in person and probably never will. Somehow it doesn’t matter about that, it’s just knowing that she’s there and can see her pictures and now with her beautiful new foal.
Lisag in Texas Thankful for Ann&Jerry for keeping this Alive
Sierra, Sweetie, this is beautiful. I’ve been looking for your poem in Diary #457. I noticed this morning the format changed with the NEWS next to the Diary, and decided to catch up, and good morning to me…here you are. It is just beautiful. Thank you, Sierra…Lisag

LE…you folks totally rock!~ I got my Z fix today because of you guys. Thanks so much for honoring the Mosses wishes to keep us updated. It really doesn’t take much to keep us happy…just a pic of those two cuties does it every time.
I cannot imagine any other owners who would arrange for fans to keep in touch with their horse. We are really blessed.
Thanks for the update on TT…we have come to love her too!
sue and tony
Three cheers for the folks at LE! We got a pic of the Queen and her prince today with an update on the fabulous TT.
It’s great to be part of such a welcoming extended family. Smiles all around tonight.
Life is good! :-)

THANK YOU!! For this site..it is truly Genius!
Now that you have the attention of the World…
Instead of walking away from all that power…
You could use it wisely to inform people w/ horses about
the deadly dangers of too much sugar(glucose) in a horses
diet and foot care…Sacretariat’s untimely death was a result
of this combination and ignorance….tell ’em

Z – this is the most handsome foal ever and he looks like he’s on stilts with those long legs. I wasn’t expecting any posting today so it made for a wonderful surprise. Thanks!!

Really concerned about Tasty, have been worrying about her. Wishing that she & Zen would be together with babies.

That is really cool! Once again Zenyatta is one of the few horses in the last several years who get mentioned in the ordinary news sites of the day, not just the industry/racing news sites. This is yahoo news/sports so that is almost mainstream – woohoo! Zenyatta has made such an impact – it goes beyond just horse racing!
Roseann
Thank you so very much! Absolutely MAKES MY DAY!

Hi all…
PACE…PACE…PACE…for Tasty
According to yesterdays bloodhorse interview, Z and T will not be together …the foals not born close enough together …
….
Per reading here…Z.com will continue….they are reformatting…
“NEWS”…will be updates for us….not necessarily daily
And a “FORUM” for us to talk to each other will be added
…
IS THIS MY UNDERSTANDING …does it seem right to you all…that would be “ya’ll” for all of the rednecks
tony
Yep, I think you got it right.
Lola

Dear Lane’s End – team and all who contribute. As our favorite scribe/racing manager would say, “Too Cute”
Such a nice surprise! Thanks for the great photo Mr. Moss and we all appreciate the update on Tasty T.

Thank you so much for this wonderful photo of Zenyatta and her beautiful son! I do appreciate the update on Tasty Temptation also and hope that she continues to do well and will have a routine and easy foaling when her time does come. I sincerely appreciate the service you are providing by keeping us informed on our beautiful Queen. Thank you!
Susan Carothers (in TN)
Thank you, Lane’s End! Love the little tail in the air :)
Dani
Thanks Lane’s End and Team Z for the great photo and the update on Zenyatta and Tasty. You are so wonderful to keep us informed. Thanks also Marian for the information on the S.A. baby shower.
Kim
Wonderful pic of Zenny and peanut! Thanks for posting
Love you, big mare

Sierra is happy again!
I am so happy that we got another update! I think that the Lane’s End people understand that we are like foals when it comes to Z. The time must come for us to say goodbye but they know that we must be weaned gently off of her as it will otherwise hurt our emotional well being. Thanks to everyone for the kind messages about my poems! I used to hate poetry absolutely dreaded it whenever I got it in English. I always thought my dad is the poet of this family I will be the actress and story writer not the poet! But look at me now I just can’t stop! It is all thanks to everyone here who inspired me. Most of my poems are based off of something that was said here that really hit home. I am so glad that we will get a forum to share and that the Mosses and Dottie understand that we love each other just as much as we love Zenny.

Dear “Team Zenyatta, Kentucky Branch” (aka Lane’s End) ;)
Thank you for the update, the picture of Her Majesty and His Royal Cuteness and the update on Tasty. We appreciate you so much, especially since it is probably not quite what you’re used to- however, she IS a celebrity and DID come from “Hollywood” LOL.
I think you guys are amazing, patient with her 102000+ fans, and still giving her, and all your other charges, such amazing care. I truly believe that Zennie couldn’t have retired to a better home, with the exception maybe of the Moss’ backyard….
Cindy
True. Its pretty incredible how people you have never met can become an important part of your life. I really enjoy gathering here even if i dont always post anything.
Raylene/ So Cal
Cindy I fell the same way also. Got very attached to all in just a couple weeks that I have been here. And I am going to meet some Dumplings at Santa Anita on Saturday. Cannot wait.
Sarah Powell, Clemson, SC
So excited when I automatically checked the site and found this picture and an update. Just to see pics now and then and hear how things are going is so comforting and to see all the familiar posts – I agree with Lisa – I think I’m going to make it now!! Thanks Lane’s End and Mr. Moss for the picture. As Dottie would say – Hooves crossed for Tasty – (poor thing).
Mary
THANK YOU Jerry and Ann Moss for your ‘letter’.
THANK YOU for the pictures of Zenyatta and baby Colt.
THANK YOU Lane’s End for a news update.
So very grateful to all that you heard our crys, and knew we were afraid we would not here anymore on this site.
A high Hoof to all.
