Dear fans,
Zenyatta has been enjoying Kentucky summer. Bath time is her favorite, and she’s pampered regularly by her friends at Lane’s End Farm.
We have a special announcement that we’re so pleased to share—Zenyatta is currently in foal, carrying a Candy Ride filly. Over the years we’ve seen how happy she is with a foal by her side, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you.
Scroll down for more new photos and videos from Alys.

One loved, beautiful mare. Can you tell me what products you use for bathing for her or is it primarily just water? Boy, my wish is that all horses could get that kind of care. Thanks for sharing her us.
Doreen

Wow! That’s great! Congrats! I wonder why they revealed the sex of the foal before birth. It’s super exciting but will kind of miss the surprise announcement when the baby is born. ❤️❤️

SHE IS BY FAR THE MOST GORGEOUS, SWEETEST, AND THE MOST INTELLIGENT HORSE IN THIS ENTIRE WORLD.. JUST LOOK AT THOSE EARS AND THAT TONGUE….I JUST ADORE HER. SEEING HER IS ON MY BUCKET LIST. IN PERSON THAT IS…GOD BLESS YOU ZENNY AND YOUR BABY…WHOA ZENNY…A FILLY!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!

Yay!!! Finally, I’ve been hoping you would finally breed her to Candy Ride. He was my first pick as a stallion for her even before she was retired. When she was undefeated (and she still is to me), I thought it would be best to breed her to the great undefeated Candy Ride (who in my words I thought he was then the up and coming ‘next Bold Ruler”). This is exciting news! Praying all is well with our Queen and the new filly. ❤️

Thank you for the update! Congratulations and I’m so so excited for Z to have a filly at her side. I really have missed seeing that, as I’m sure all of you have and Zenyatta most of all has. Lots of love sending her way! They’ll never be another in front of her in my heart and she still has the best ears in the business ❤️
Kathleen

I have always been a fan of Zenyatta’s, and always will be. I would have like to see her bred again to Warfront..that filly looked so much like Zenny, and had her high spirits as well.. that filly was so special, she would have carved out a place for herself for sure.

Mary Lou Barnwell, If I’m not wrong, and I don’t think I am, Zenny WAS re-bred to Warfront.
That colt’s sire was Warfront, but he died shortly after he was born. I wish that colt had survived because I always thought ZPrincess was the best foal Zenny had produced, and I pictured the new baby colt being as fabulous as ZPrincess was.
There was another foal that was too premature to survive, but right now I can’t remember who the sire was. I think that baby came a couple of months early.
Cathleen
I think her last foal was out of Into Mischief and was aborted.

Sure wish you would provide cover date or estimated foaling date also!! If this is a 90-day confirmation, she was successfully bred in May. Kinda late. She looks to be further along however, so maybe being cautious due to prior history? Or having had to be covered twice? Inquiring minds want to know!! Thanks for letting us know…. I was concerned she might not have been successfully bred this year.

Congrats to all,. As a “sport horse” person, I can only (not so ) secretly wish that the Jockey Club allowed AI and/or surrogacy, since Zenyatta is such an incredible horse conformationally/athletically, that I would have loved to see what she might have done as a dressage horse or jumper.
