Happy Monday!
We thought it would be nice to start the week with photos from last week’s visit to Lane’s End. Ann and Jerry went to see Zenyatta and her colt with bags of carrots in tow. Both Z and her son are doing well, enjoying the crisp Kentucky fall air. Zenyatta is healthy and happy, and 12Z is growing fast!
Enjoy!

In a troubled world, all we have to do is look at pics of Zenny, her Prince and her humans and life seems so good! The love in these photos flows right off the page into your heart. How blessed we are to be so connected to Zenny after her racing career.
It’s been said so many times…there’s not another like her. Her “little” guy sure seems to be taking after mom and that’s a very good thing. THANK YOU, Jerry and Ann for sharing these with us.

Sooo true.

Oh it is so wonderful and good for the soul to see Ann and Jerry visit with Zenyatta and PrinceZ. The love shines through the photos and that not so little anymore guy seems to love the attention (and the carrots of course) and maybe he remembers the lady who laid down in the hay with him.
Thank so much Jerry and Ann and Team Z for always keeping us in mind.
Wishing all of you the happiest of holidays with love.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Moss. It is wonderful you share your horses with the fans who also LOVE them! You are the type of owners that make racing proud, (unlike others who dye the horses tail blue).
Z12 look like both his parents. I like Zendinie as his name. That what I call him!
Hope you have a Very Happy Holiday.

Thank you so much for sharing the pictures. Her eyes are so expressive!,

How sweet is that? Wonderful pictures, thanks so much. May Zenyatta and Baby Z continue to be healthy and happy.
I am watching for a wild horse mare who was adopted to give birth and she is sure taking her time!

Love the photos of Z and baby Z. He is getting so big and looks like his mom. We her fans are so lucky that Ann and Jerry take the time to put pics up to we can still see her. OUR QUEEN. I can’t wait until you have a name for Z12. Thank you so much!!
HAVE A WONDERFUL QUEEN Z AND BABY Z!!!!

The obvious love between Zenny & Ann & Jerry is so uplifting and joyful. It makes my throat catch & tears well up. Ann,I hope you gave Zenny the kiss from me & the “thanks for delivering Buddy’s message” message I asked you to deliver for me. I have a feeling you did because there’s one picture that “speaks” to my heart. The young Prince looks phenomenal. Can’t wait to see him when he gets to “uncle john’s” barn. Thank you for this wonderful gift!
Janie (in L.A.)
What sweet, sweet pictures. You can really see the love been the Mosses and their darling horsies. I love the one of Ann feeling Zenyatta’s baby bump and talking to her about it… Thank you for sharing them with us!

Instant smiles of the Mosses, Zenyatta and Baby Z! Thanks for making my day worthwhile! Love them!

Thanks to JAG for alerting me, or I would still be hopelessly behind, posting on the earlier pages. WOW! What a great gift! These are the most beautiful pictures ever. Ann Moss, you are the luckiest girl in the world, but you know that–lol! We are all right there with you in spriit snuggling that beautiful face of Z’s. There will never be another mare more beautiful, and it’s not just physical beauty. It is in the eyes, the windows of the soul.
I can clearly remember how devastated we were when we knew Z. was retiring. We didn’t know where to put the love we were feeling for her. How to transfer that anywhere else? Thankfully, Dottie started the diary, and we found a home. In my case, I learned about Z’s relatives who don’t have a soft place to land, and I started doing my little bit to help them. Now we have this marvelous place to get updates, thanks to you, Mosses, Team Z., and Lane’s End. You mean the world to us.
And what a BIG boy 12 Z is becoming. I want to say “Baby Z.” , but it just doesn’t seem to fit anymore. Thanks to you all for SHARING the love!
@sue and tony–so true!
@jane raymond–love the captions for the pics!

I love Zenyatta so much that is is hard to explain. I don’t believe that I will ever see a horse her equal. She is a great racehorse but that does not even begin to explain her greatness.
Love you Z,
Decker

Thank You Ann and Jerry for sharing Zenny and 12Z with all of us. It is hard to tell who is happier Ann or Zenny. This is the way to start the week, thank you for making my day.

Oh what a way to start the week!!! Zenny is just instant joy and it is always a pleasure to see our little prince. What a lovely family and thank you so very much for sharing your family photo album with all of us!

OMG! Where to start??? I don’t know where I’ve been all day that so many folks have already been by to visit, and I’m just now getting here. When there are 80 some comments ahead of you, there isn’t much original left to say (and the comments add to the “eyes welling up so badly that you can hardly see to type” factor as if the pictures alone weren’t enough!) So . . . . THANK YOU to Alys, Team Z, and the Mosses for creating such a wonderful, beautiful surprise today! The photos are just gorgeous, and has anybody mentioned the LOVE that can be felt (coming and going)? Just kidding folks, but I had to say something about it too. We’ll be soaking in the bliss of this post for a long time to come ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to all and especially to Zenny and Prince!
Eileen
Loved the new photos. I was wondering who is sharing her paddock with zenyatta? Has she been reunited with any of her old friends….ie pirate queen alys? I hope she enjoys her paddock mate, whoever she is.
Arnita Strutz
Love the pictures and updates – keep them coming. I haven’t heard about the status of Zenyata’s second pregnancy. How is she doing in that respect and when will she deliver once again?
Thanks
Zenyen
Zenyatta is due to foal around the same time in March as she did in 2012. So early to mid March 2013.
As the saying goes, ‘no news is good news’ at this point with her pregnancy.

Perfection on a Monday morning!!!! The word “bliss” comes to my mind. Everyone looks so very happy and enjoying each other.
Thank you Lane’s End for these wonderful photos and thanks to the Moss’s for sharing with Zenyatta’s fans.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Andi
I just shared a link of this on my Facebook page with this along with it…
“If anyone needs a pick-me-up, look at these pictures. I admire Mr. and Mrs. Moss so very much… Not for having ability (financially and otherwise) to produce the best of the best, but for the obvious affection and care they show for their animals. From waiting until they are mature enough to safely train and compete, to dropping in frequently to check on/play with their horses. I don’t think modern racing has anyone that so clearly appreciates and loves their animals as the Mosses. Thank you for taking amazing care of Queen Z and the Prince! And Ebby. They’re all so lucky to have you!”
LauraJ (Cincinnati, OH)
Ebby doesn’t belong to the Mosses. Her owner is Eric Kronfeld, who bred Zenyatta and Ebby. Ebby does have the same trainer as her big sis, though–John Shirreffs, who takes good care of her.

OMG Such lovely pictures! I would give just about anything to be Ann for about 5 minutes! Have a Blessed Christmas Season!

Thank you for the beautiful photos with Queen Z and baby, and thank you for continuing to share them with her loyal fans. Waiting patiently for Baby Z’s name – lot of us have been calling him the Prince of Zen, but you will probably pick a more appropriate music related name, which I understand. Hope you will have a fantastic Christmas with your two legged and four legged family. Hugs to all.
