Happy Monday!
We thought it would be nice to start the week with photos from last week’s visit to Lane’s End. Ann and Jerry went to see Zenyatta and her colt with bags of carrots in tow. Both Z and her son are doing well, enjoying the crisp Kentucky fall air. Zenyatta is healthy and happy, and 12Z is growing fast!
Enjoy!

Love all of them so much. Jerry and Ann are the best. Zenyatta is one lucky horse. We the fans are lucky that they are her owners or otherwise we probably would not get to keep up with her and all her future babies. All my thanks to them for keeping her in our lives. Yes we are the lucky ones.

Rita, I’ll second that.

Wow…….what wonderful pictures. Someone said it brought tears to their eyes…..it has me too…..and chills down my arms. I love seeing the love between Z and Ann…..you can tell Z loves her so so much. But it looks like 12Z is loving Ann as much as Z. I wish they could be moved back to CA one day so Ann and Jerry can see them more. It is so sweet to see such a bond between human and animal. Thank you Jerry and Ann for sharing the photos with us fans. You both are such dearing and kind people. Merry Christmas to you both and God bless you both.

Thank you so much for the photos ,Baby Z looks so intelligent, just like his mom. I can relate to the love between you and Zenyatta,I groomed and owned at one time and really miss hugging and loving the horses,I love seeing your pictures,
Anne
What a great surprise! I am so thankful that they still share Zenyatta, as well as, big boy Z, who will soon be a year old, Jan. 1st. I know, his real bday is in March. It always brings tears to my eyes when I see Zenyatta with Ann. They truly have a bond and no one will ever change that.
So many mares we never see again once they retire from racing. Many are not even in this country anymore. I often wonder about some of my other favorite mares out there….guess that is what it will always be …a wonder.
But… we have great owners in Mr and Mrs. Moss, who keep sharing their amazing mare with us who many of us have followed since her first race of her career on Thanksgiving Day.

THANK YOU to the Mosses and LE for these truly special photos, they are simply beautiful and remind me all over again why Team Z is in a class by itself, both horse and humans. Our Z looks magnificent and so happy to see Ann in particular. And I cannot get over how much the Prince has grown. He certainly knows Ann and shows his love. I am just so happy to see these shots. Like so many others I can hardy see the keys because my eyes are so full.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.
Hugs,

How truly wonderful to see the whole family together again…..Zenyatta, and 12Z with Jerry and Ann Moss. You all look so very happy-filled with smiles! Seeing these pictures is next best thing to being there. I’ve missed seeing Zenyatta, and watch her videos over and over again. It’s really nice to see her and the entire family…reunited. She looks as if she is well along in her second pregnancy….I hope it is an easy one. Best of luck, beautiful girl!

Oh, thank you so much for lifting my heart!!!! This is such a wonderful treat to my very weary soul. I just got out of the hospital two days ago after an ordeal with pneumonia and my recovery seems to be going so slow – bah, humbug! Then just yesterday I learned that we lost my dear sweet cousin so it seems there is turmoil and pain all around. Zenyatta gives me such feelings of comfort and peace and seeing the love expressed to her by Ann Moss just makes the world seem so much kinder, more right. Thank you for letting me vent and blather, but above all, thank you so much for sharing the light of Zenyatta for those of us who love her so much from afar.

Celeste, we hope you are feeling much better soon. Zenny really is “tonic for the soul”.
There’s not another like her. :-)

So Beautiful-the pictures, feelings, the love that you can feel between all of them. We are all so lucky to be a part of this time with these horses and people. Thanks Mosses and Lanes End, Dottie and John.

Your comment is “too cute”.

Don’t you wonder if she “knows” what the internal commotion means this time?

Ann is lucky to be able to cuddle Zenyatta like that. It just brings tears to my eyes as I love Zenyatta so much and miss her so much. Ann and Jerry you are the luckiest people in the world to have Zenyatta in your life.

Terry Crow — you requested some Redneck relatives jokes from me. I did not get any hot ideas yet, but was browsing my own timeline on Facebook, and found my old post from Jan. 2010. At the time, it was a very fresh, shake-your-head insult, but I think it qualifies almost 3 yrs. later, as a Redneck joke:
The mortuary that handled my mom’s funeral last year, sent each of us in my family, including my mother — an invitation to come “Celebrate” their “Grand Re-Opening!”, with “Raffle Prizes, Family Fun, Music, Great Food, and Refreshments”! Who in their right mind, would want to go “party” at the mortuary, unless it was Halloween, possibly? What marketing delusion did they imagine?
And the timing? They wanted to catch us, while her funeral was still fresh on our minds? Did they want us to dig my mom up, and bring her to “the party?” I better quit now.

OMG!!

LoL, Trina! At the time in 2010, I nearly went down to the mortuary, to give them more than a piece of my mind. But decided it was more attention than they deserved. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more bizarre and inappropriate piece of advertising.

Dear Vicki B,
Unbelievable that a business of this sort
would advertise in this way, funny yet sad.
I would not have been very happy getting
this type of ingormation and wholheartedly
agree with your feelings and outcome !!!
Weird !!!

Looking at these pictures is truly like viewing a family album. I had the strongest feeling that Mr. and Mrs. Moss would be visiting Zenyatta and 12Z before he and his buds transtion to the yearling section of Lanes’ End this month. Because of the owners they are, I knew they would wish him well before starting the next stage of his journey.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Moss for continuing to allow us into the lives of Zenyatta and 12Z. Thank you Alys for the photos and Team Z for posting them. and thank you to Lanes” End for allowing the time and access to your wonderful farm.
@ Zenyen, Thank you for reminding us how things are progressing for Zenyatta in her pregnancy and just what we are seeing along the way.

Finally, some more new photos of our favorite, most wonderful horse in the whole, wide world! Now, Ann & Jerry, why is it you get to go see her, and hug her, and kiss her face, and tell her how gorgeous she is, and moon over her if you wish — and I don’t? Oh, I keep forgetting, you’re her owners! That’s what you’re supposed to be able to do. I am totally jealous, especially when I see these photos, and all the feeling in them. You are so lucky. Thanks.
