Read a great article about Kelso. His owner wrote a book about him titled, “Where He Gallops, the Earth Sings.” What a lovely thought! It was a great article. He was so very popular but sometimes not as sweet as our Zenny.

    RIP River of No Return.
In Race#1 today at Aqueduct (Belmont @ The Big A), River of No Return suffered a catastrophic break-down and was euthanized. His jockey, José A. Gomez was thrown, but he survived with bumps and bruises. Jose was able to continue racing which was very fortunate.
My heart breaks when these incidents happen. Condolences to all connections. The angels will attend thee now, sweet River. So sorry.

These break-downs break out hearts. Thank God there are many more rules in place to protect the horses and the riders.

Hope all is well with all of you here on the blog. I am very excited about Julia Shining, little sister of Malathaat! Full sister and racing in the Stonestreet colors.
She had a remarkable debut! As you all know, I am fool for the Curlins.

Take care of yourselves and stay warm.

As you observed, the story had a happy outcome for her little foal. Wonderful owners taking the time and caring deeply gave him the chance to thrive. My goodness, My Last Lee is absolutely beautiful! Best of Luck to him, and may he find a loving home — hope he has a nice long healthy life, too!

Racing is sort of tame this week on this side of the pond, but much is afoot at Ascot where the last two BC “win and You’re In” races take place, and Stradivarius will be making a farewell appearance at some point during the day! ❤️❤️
