RIP Robbie Coltrane. He was also in my favorite horse racing movie, “Let It Ride” starring Richard Dreyfus, Jennifer Tilly and Terry Garr. He played the mutual clerk at the window RD’s character placed his bets. If you get the chance, rent the movie. I think you’ll enjoy it. Very funny and entertaining.

Thanks so much for posting this TDN article! What an amazing story! I loved reading the article in Bloodhorse which referenced Special Me’s size and her success as a broodmare, but this gives even more insight into the Brogdens’ miraculous acquisition — she is a miracle AND a survivor to boot.
So glad her breeders were dedicated to helping her survive her premature birth, too. I also like that she is “sweet as pie”.
Definitely not a bad return on that $6,000 purchase!
