If I win, I will do everything in my power to get there. But like all of you, I just love talking about her. I have tears in my eyes now after writing my entry, because I love her so much. The only time I saw her in person was at Keeneland the evening she arrived at Lanes End. It was very cold that night. The daytime high had only been 18 degrees. My mother will from time to time comment on how she doesn’t know how I stood out there for over three hours in the cold that evening. Now my mother loves Zenny too. I just tell her that no one there that evening was cold. There was too much love going around that night for anyone to be cold.
Love you Big Mare, and Baby Z

Dear Kim:
Wow, I have never been able to see Z up close, but I share your feelings of love for her. Will be something you’ll always treasure seeing her at Keeneland on that cold December night in 2010. Hugs, JB

Marshall,
I think TC is looking for the best redneck residence that he can find in California, and that
may be quite a challenge as California is known for their “liberal” rednecks !!!

What a great opportunity. Team Z and Lanes End, THE standard for the golden standard. Such great connections and a farm who patiently puts up with the taboons of fans. Truly, someone divine had a hand in this.

dear judy do you remember a stallion called exchange rate his son called reckless abandon has just won the middle park stakes at newmarket he’ a quirky horse always tries to throw his jockey off at the start but he’s brilliant!! camelot has gone home to coolmore and will race next season good luck to all of you trying to win the tickets any news of terry crow yet? love and hugs sheena
Max
Sheena. Sounds like Reckless wants to race alone without a jockey? LOL. Congrats on the win. God speed a recovery for Camo.
judy berube from Rhode Island
Dear Sheena:
Yes, I do remember Exchange Rate. His sire was Danzig. I just checked out Reckless Abandon’s Pedigree Page. He’s only two years old and is 4 for 4; or after today 5 for 5.
Love those feisty ones.
Hope Camelot recovers completely and comes back next year. Hugs, JB

dear max dawn approach just won the dewhurst in newmarket in great style a beautiful chestnut with white blaze favourite for 2,ooo guineas in2013 hugs sheena
Max
Sheena. Just finished reading about the race. Congrats to Dawn Approach. He did well. His trainer has a way with winning that particular race. Good for him. This also appears to be the year of the chestnuts bringing home the glory.

This is just a beautiful wonderful idea…I can not enter because we hope to be enroute to Arkansas then…but the whole idea just exemplifies the spirit of this site …its the spirit of our wonderful Zenny and her great heart that have brought us all together….such a diverse and caring group…we are old and young …we live all over the world…we support each thru good and bad…some of us are knowledgeable and others just learning..but we all share…… in the name of the beautiful incomparable Zenyatta..there has never been another like her…she is a force of nature …and I for one bless Z and her outstanding team …every day

Dear Z fans,
Franke Dettori’s future with Godolphin still unknow, and he is not saying anything.

Dear Sheena,
Unable to find any articles on the suspension of Frankie and Olivier (sp?) after the ARC.
Interesting though Mike Smith used the whip 20 to 25 times on Zenny in the stretch
drive of the BCC 2010 against Blame. In the heat of the moment for all at the end
of a race.
Horses were not hurt and that is the important thing. Aids, such as
whips, spurs, crops, bits, bridles, saddles, side reins etc… all have a purpose for
horses. Those who do not understand the training and management of a horse
respond with human emotions that are not appropriate for the issue at hand.
Franke Dettori and the issues of what happened with Rewilding is truley a tragedy and
it was appropriate for the UK to tighten up their whip restrictions.
Banning any aids for riding horses in NOT going to happen. Riders, trainers and horse owners will continue to train and work their horses with the appropriate aids to improve perfomance and desire for the horses to compete.
Maybe we should ban severe bits that horses wear so that we ride them bare back with no bridle and halter !!!! Severe bits have a purpose and are used by those
who have soft hands to control their horse.
Those who train/own/ride with their emotions, create horses that are difficult to handle, aggressive horses and often end up in rescues or feedlots. This is a well
known fact by really good trainers/riders/owners.
Having ridden and worked with trainers for many years it is a kind compassion/firm boundaries and a connection; mentally and emotionally, with the horse that gets them to move forward and enjoy their job.
