November 12 Cherokee Devotional
Misery seems to justify making someone pay-but there is sweet revenge in finding our own inner spirit can expand quickly to push out unfairness and bitterness.
Who doesn’t have the right to be bitter? A hard thing to forget, a mountain to overcome-but such peace follows. Peace spreads like warm honey across a hot biscuit and permeates all the little places that capture and hold it. The heart lifts its hands in praise for relief from the darkness of bitter memories. All of us can do it-all of us must if we are to be well and have something to share. Just let it go. Life will balance the books, it always does.
While living I want to live well.

Dear Kathy.Such wise words today.It’s just no good holding on to bitter memories.
We had about 1/2 hour of sunshine this morning and then the rain returned and Abigail is arriving tonight.I could see Diane found her photos of Zoe’s dress.She had a busy veteran’s day(as you know it’s called Armistice over here).The ratties took their trabel juice yesterday and went to Georgia.Wimbley ate peaches all day and Mr Fibbs visited CNN and compared forecasts with Anderson Cooper!Kimberly was pretty upset with her neighbour shooting at the feral cats she feeds he has shot about 17 before so she called the police.Oreo one of the kittens didn’t return for 24hrs she’d been searching for him in the woods.Why are people so cruel?
Who is that Hollywood star with HIV?Seems he’s facing lawsuits from the famous women he has slept with in the last 2 years.I always remember how Rock Hudson was shunned in the 80’s when he was ill.
Did you see the beautiful diamond a wealthy Hong Kong man/woman bought for £48million and same person bought a pink diamond recently.Maybe celebrating the birth of a twin boy and girl.!
I really have no idea how Robin and Steve will be able to leave Red in Australia when they have to return home I posted a pic of the 3 Musketeers on my timeline.Oh,there will be tears.You’ll never guess what I saw in the supermarket today Hot-Cross buns!!!Spring is on the way!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Stay safe as Abigail comes in. I was the “friend” who helped Diane find her pics. She had messaged them to me and my comment made her remember them. All’s well that ends well! All the people who saw Zoe in her patriotic dress yesterday were very lucky! We used to call it Armistice Day over here. too. I’m sure the ratties enjoyed the Georgia peaches! Wow…Anderson Cooper? Fiibbs is in the big leagues! I hope Kimberly stays safe. That neighbor could go off his rocker and shoot her for involving the police. Hope she finds the missing kitten. Very sad. They’re certainly keeping the identity of the Hollywood star hush hush. I remember how Rock Hudson was shunned, too. Elizabeth Taylor and Doris Day stood by him, though. I did see that diamond. SO beautiful! I agree it will be so hard on Robin and Steve when they have to leave Red. I’ll go right over and check out that pic on your timeline. I haven’t run across and Hot Cross buns. Maybe there’s a confused baker over there! Have a wonderful Friday Eve. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

5 Ways to Love the Home You Have
via (in)courage
by Melissa Michaels
Do you ever find yourself discouraged or even overwhelmed by the state of your home? I know I have found myself in that place more than I would like to admit! The messy rooms, the imperfect decor, the never-ending dirty dishes, and the repairs I couldn’t seem to keep up with threatened my sanity at times.
The pursuit of perfection is futile, but our desire to create a home that is warm, welcoming, and comfortable isn’t necessarily a sign of discontentment. It can be a blessing to the people we love. In spite of the imperfections or limitations of our house, a love for our home is something we can nurture right where we are. The love we show our home should be a reflection of gratitude to God for what we have. Our home is a gift.

Really hit home (no pun intended) with this devotion. As an older single homeowner I sometimes get very anxious about repairs and things like that! Thanks for putting things in perspective.
Kathy
Dear Vamp,
Great devotional for this time of year when we get so crazy busy and have no hope of doing all the things we would like to do! Thank you!

Dear Vamp Sue.A few simple words really”A house is not a home”A home is cluttered and filled with much loved possessions and family members.My home was my parents,grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins and my precious cats.Now sadly all gone but I always have my memories.You cannot idolise bricks and mortar.Love and hugs Sheena

it hit home with me too. especially being disabled and not able to do things. my bedroom and bathroom are clean but the rest of my apt is a complete disaster. poor Rob is busy with 2 jobs and has no time to clean. so its Very frustrating for me especially cuz id like to have ppl over for thanksgiving this yr. but oh well. thats why i needed todays devo as well.

Dear Vamp,
Have people in. If they are my age, they can’t see the dirt. When good friends visit, it is for your company not household inspection. I am sure they are like me and can see plenty of mess at their own homes.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Vamp Sue,
This was right on target with me, too. I have been in this house for 32 years, and believe me, it is not a pretty site! I seriously need to declutter. Now that I am not working at the store, I should be able to make some headway.
Thanks for the words of wisdom.
Hugs and Love
Ann NC
Thank you Vamp.
Good knowing I am not alone. Tried so hard to clean today, but the old news articles plastered all over a closet door gave me an excuse. It has been fun reading about Tapit, Funny Cide, Mustangs. Plus the floors are growing mad hair! Thanks pups and kitty doll baby! Oh well. Love to all.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Ann,
Thanks so much for the giggles! Believe me, I can identify with the “mad hair” on the floors!! It’s amazing how short-haired canines can disperse their hair like confetti. I am easily side-tracked when I start on something, also. I will start doing one thing and somehow I end up working on an entirely unrelated task.
Again, thank you for my laugh of the day!
Hugs and Love

Dear Vamp
You really hit home for me today. My Mom has been gone 4 yrs. yesterday and I live in the house we shared. So much of it is still “her House” and I change things very gradually . She was a painter and I am blessed to have so many of her paintings. I rotate them in and out and from room to room. My house needs repairs. My home is a warm blanket of memories.
Vampressqueen Sue Colvin
i know what u mean. when my grandma kaine died years ago, her house became my cousins house. we s till say grandmas house even my cousin who owns it now. too funny.
Elizabeth in NM
Dear Sue, Loved what you said about your home meaning so much to you. Feel the same. About Thanksgiving, we can all check in with each other here on Zenny’s site. Maybe not the same, but still means a lot to me and and I think our fellow Z Fans. Will keep you in my prayers. with love, Elizabeth

Dear Vicki,
It’s so good that you have your Mom’s paintings, and it’s wonderful that you shared your home together. My Mom’s passed on 12 years ago, and I still think of her so often. She had the kindest heart and was so loving and unselfish. I’m planning on seeing her again. Keeping you in my prayers. with love, Elizabeth

Vamp, thanks, I try to keep my home to look clean and in good shape, with my hubbies help too. I do sometimes look around and notice how old some furnishings are (like outdated, a couple things since the first year of our marriage..47 yrs.) , but at this stage in my life, it will have to do because frankly I rather do some fun things that at times costs $, but spending as much time as I can out doors or volunteering with the horses means more to me. I do feel comfortable in my home and I hope others do when they come to visit.
Vicki; Your home once shared is awesome!
hugs, Sally B

Hi It is not that I am an impatient person, but I have been waiting to hear from team Z to know who all got those awesome articles of Z’s and most importantly, who the lucky ones are to go and visit her. I am sure we will hear soon.
I did receive my Zenyatta sticker today in the mail and it is different than the one from last year so that is nice. I Will always love the team colors which of course is in the sticker.

Brilliantly colored flashing graphics, moving, walking, and yelling salespeople, and too much real-life drama makes us sigh and give thanks for a television remote control.
We forget we have another remote control right in our thinking. We can change channels-even eliminate crazy pictures that try to fix themselves in our minds. Good music helps to smooth out the wrinkles in our turbulent thinking. Wasn’t it Saul who called for a musician when he needed to think or pray?
Give yourself credit for taking control-for choosing well-and watch things turn around.
Yonder sky that has wept tears of compassion upon my people for centuries untold, and that which to us appears changeless and eternal, may change.

Dear Kathy.I have a nasty habit of losing my remote control and am stuck with the same channel for a while!We are hearing Jihadi John has been killed in a drone attack!I certainly don’t understand why our Prime Minister has to justify the action!!!Far too PC.
It’s a beautiful day in Cheltenham but Scotland has got the high winds and snow.We are expecting very heavy rain tomorrow though especially in the north.I got a pic of AP and Charlotte on my timeline.It was great to see More Of That back over fences now and winning in good style.They have just been showing AP and Charlotte on TV now he had to learn to actually sit on a horse!!
Fubu had his regular doc’s appt yesterday no news yet.Poor Zoe wasn’t too keen on the puppies bless her!Mango got a lot of messages yesterdat and she’s such a good babysitter.Lovely video of Joey getting attention from Tom and the girls!They say he visited the garden in the shape of a cardinal(bird)how lovely was that!Mr Fibbs wanted teddy last night!It’ll be a year next week since we lost Marty.Ray got photobombed again!Have a great Friday.Love and hugs to you,kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

How do you like this Tony McCoy, British Champion jumps jockey follows in Kauto Stars
hoof steps and tries dressage in the Cheltenham paddock. He says it uses nothing that
I have learned as a rider in the past but it was an intersting experience.

On this day in 2006 Desert’Dessie’Orchid passed away aged 27yrs.A vet was on standby to assist but in the end was not required.Dessie died as he lived”his own way”He passed peacefully at 6.05am in his stable with no stress or fuss.The flambuoyant front running grey dominated chases during the 80’s.We all prayed when he underwent life-saving surgery for colic in 1992.He had a long and wonderful retirement .His ashes are interred by his statue at Kemptom Park racecourse where he won 4 King Georges.RIP SheenaX

todays devo:
Love is the outpouring of a life that abides in God. And love is a verb — yes, it’s true — love is action and motion, leading us toward others, to love them with the hands and feet of Christ.
Let’s abide, first, in Him. This moment.
Then let’s love, with action, those around us. This day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Just saw the horrible happenings in France on TV. So sorry that this terrible thing is happening. Wish we all could just live in peace with one another. Blessings on all the French people. Especially those who are injured and the families of those who were killed.
Breaking news from Paris.A state of emergency has been declared after 6 co-ordinated terrorist attacks about 60 have died so far.Many are being held hostage at a concert hall.There are far too many refugees on the move in Europe at the moment .Many are genuine but some terrorists must be slipping through the net.So very,very sad.The gunmen at the concert hall seem to have been killed but no one knows how many innocent people have died.RIPSheena
