Dear Kathy. My mother used to get annoyed with me for putting things off until tomorrow!!Still do I’m afraid. We had a rain delay at Wimbledon today a week ago it was the hottest day ever today cool and cloudy!Andy has won the 1st set and Roger is sublime on court no1.Same cannot be said for English cricket team a poor start to the ashes test!It seems Kauto will never be allowed to rest in peace a lot of controversy about splitting his ashes now and nothing going to Ditcheat. Will be thinking of Coz tonight about 9.30pm over here as long as he is safe and sound!Poor katy had a bad night vomiting but seems a bit better now God bless Mango for staying by her side and Judy is such a devoted mother!Did you see the rattie in the shoe?I had heard it was world chocolate day yesterday.Zoe is doing well only needs 2 more weeks in the kennel had to laugh at her poking her tongue out.The sound is still off on the Dyfi since the storm did you see the map showing the rivers the birds are named afterThey are coming further south! The pom pals are so cute and Max and Mia.Poor Ray has said goodbye to a lot of friends this week.Thank you for that gorgeous card on my timeline.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
It’s so easy to put things off if it’s something you really don’t want to do. Problem is, it always waits for you! Wonderful tennis going on right now. Enjoy! Sorry for the poor start for the English cricket team. Very disturbing about Kauto’s ashes. I will be on needles and pins for Coz’s race. Just as long as he comes back safe, that’s all that matters. Mango is such a precious sister to her beloved Katy and yes, Judy is so devoted. Yes, I saw the rattie in the shoe. They don’t believe the fairytale of the old woman in the shoe. lol I hadn’t heard it was World Chocolate Day. That’s something I could have really gotten behind! Poor little Zoe, you know it’s torture for her having to be kenneled so much. Haven’t seen that map, will look for it. Still have to visit Max and Mia. I did see that Ray has lost several friends. Very sad. You’re welcome for the card. Have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
It can be hard having a famous mother, especially when that mother is the incomparable Zenyatta. When you go to the post today, you’ll be carrying Rajiv, a maiden weight and a ton of expectations.
I know you’re not Zenyatta. You’re yourself and you’ll do things your own way, just as you should. You’ve clearly learned a lot from your first race until now and you’ve been training very well, according to John. And you’ve grown up a little more, too, which should help you with all those pre-race jitters.
So you’re all set to give it your best shot. I know you will.
And those of us who love you & appreciate you are there in your cheering section — not just today, but every day.
I’m getting really nervous, bet Jerry and sweet Ann are too. Would like to know what instructions John gave the jockey. Hope Coz is not kept too far back this time with those bullet works. Let him run if he wants, let’s see what he can do.
❤ Dear Coz, remember when you set foot on that track today, you are a Prince of royal blood. You are trained by a master in the art. Your owners are renowned for their integrity and their devotion to your great Mother. We have been in your corner from the moment you drew breath. Now—go out and claim your legacy. ❤
Dearest Coz there is little I can add to Abigail’s heartfelt words. I watched your Mom on TVG last night in the Clement Hirsch. Your DNA is golden and I want you to go out there and HAVE FUN! It always seemed to me that Zenyatta was having the time of her life when she ran. That’s why she danced. It wasn’t because she was nervous or a ham … she couldn’t wait for that gate to open. I want you to have that joy. All of Zenyatta nation will be with you your whole life long. Love you Handsome.
To all of the ZENTASTICS Team Members – I posted this a few days ago, but I think that a lot of people were busy with the holiday and didn’t see it. Sue asked me to pass along the bad news that the BC Fantasy Handicapping Contest is no more :-( When she inquired, she was directed to the other contest the BC is running that has a prize each week and requires predicting the order of finish of EACH of the horses in the given race. We are both very disappointed, and I wanted to provide some contact information in case the rest of you want to join us in voicing our disappointment: stefanie@breederscup.com and peter@breederscup.com
I actually got a reply from Peter who said that they would think about bringing the contest back next year so it might be helpful if he hears from some of our other team members! There might be a way that we can just do the contest ourselves so stay tuned.
Coz, God willing you will run a beautiful race today. You have the regal presence as your Mother, but you no doubt will have your own spirit. Run like the wind today and mark your place on the horizon. Stay sound and open up your stride to the finish line!!
♥ Dear Sweet CoZ ♥
I wish you the best. Coming back safely is the main thing. If you hit the board, that is a plus. You are racing against colts who don’t have your pedigree! Zenyatta and Bernardini will run with you in spirit.
You will have so many fans watching you at the track or via the Internet. I will listen on the Internet while quietly screaming during the race LOL
Dear Sweet Zenyatta – Your firstborn is in a race today!!! I wish him lots of luck, safe racing and remember your lessons from your trainer. You are so very handsome. I saw your first race at Santa Anita and you looked gorgeous. You are your Mama’s boy.
Best of luck to all horses and safe trips for all.
Dearest Coz–
Can’t wait for your race today. We know how wonderful your last workouts have been. It appears John has you ready. We are pulling for you,. Win or lose, you will always be a winner in our book. Hugs to all.
That bullet work at Belmont makes me think you’ve recovered from whatever was hurting you during your first race. As always at Belmont this time of year you’ve got some stiff competition, including Uncle Mo’s full brother. We’re all hoping to see the real Coz tomorrow. Have a great race, a good time, and come home safe.
He’s such a beautiful Chestnut, isn’t he! Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Indeed. He is quite extraordinarily handsome. His red coat at its best is pretty amazing. That horse has a lot of personal charm too, which explains his widespread fan base. His peeps, that’s another story.
I feel sad for Coz not the Mosses.Too much expectation has been placed on young shoulders.Maybe he just doesn’t want to be a racehorse.Hope he came out of the race well.Hugs Sheena.
If Frank Stronach thought like that, Shaman Ghost would now be retired to picking grass in the beautiful countryside of Ontario or Kentucky. SG was a very backward horse according to his trainer. Now he’s competing for the Canadian Triple Crown. If he continues to do well, he could end up in the Breeders’ Cup.
Coz like SG may just need time to figure things out. He should not be assessed in relation to his mother. She was and is a phenomenon. Give Coz his chance. It’s early days.
Thank you Max.
The MD hero, Ben’s Cat did not get hot until 4.
I feel for the Jerry and Ann. They are so kind and gracious and deserve our respect.
Anyway, eat up handsome boy and keep on!

Same for Noble Mission. He did his best work at 4.
It takes time. He started so game and eager. He just looks like he gets so distracted on the homestretch. When the other two took off just before the homestretch, he looked like he was thinking, “dudes where are you going?” And he looks like he doesn’t want to be in close proximity to the others when they start bumping and getting into the power muscle mental mode of finding their placement coming down the homestretch. He looks like he would not fight for a hole in the crowd, but would back off. Appearing to be a “super gentleman” not a bully. Coz you have to learn that once on the homestretch you have to fight buddy to get to the front and hold it. Takes a bully attitude at that point. He’s learning though. A handsome man no less.
Mary M,
After watching the replay and thinking about his good works, I was wondering if perhaps he did not want to run up into a crowd. I don’t think his problem is lack of talent. Maybe blinkers to keep his mind on his job. Or could be he hasn’t figured out what his job is yet. Maybe turf?? Penn is going on grass and seems to relish it.
We do not want to compare him to his mother BUT it’s hard not to. Zenny had that killer instinct on the trckt and was so determined not to let any finish ahead of her. Maybe he just understand his “job” yet. He doesn’t seem to get this competitive thing and how a trainer works all that out is beyond our understanding. If anyone can do it….John can.
